ingredients:
oat milk cubes (two ice cube trays)

Plz tell me (and others) HOW did you get it to turn out like soft ice cream like in their video?? If you read my comment, mine just turned out runny. I used a Vita Mix. Did you use what they use? If so what was it? Thanks! Anyone else in this thread, plz lmk how you did it too!
I was looking for the preferred sweetener and decided I'd use agave nectar, UNTIL, you suggested dates! Of course! ...and done!/Peggy
Just to help everyone else... I just tried it with almond milk and it made it more of a slushy texture because of the water content in almond milk. I think it really does need to be oat or coconut milk for this to work!!!
Same happened to me even with oat milk. Seems like the water content is the key… I’ve tried 2 different brands but couldn’t get it to work:-(
Same - I tried the same brand oat milk they did & I got slush😑
Maybe it’s the amount of liquid we need to adjust

What speed are you running the blender because it looks like it’s at a slower speed? Does it help improve consistency at a lower speed?
I think if the speed is too high then the cubes will just melt from all the friction. I haven't tried it yet myself, but my instinct tells me that a lower speed is necessary.

It just tastes like blended oat milk, nothing AT ALL like vanilla soft serve.
What flavour are you expecting from a vegan alternative?? Of course it will taste like oat milk, it’s not going to taste like regular milk. Add more vanilla, sweetener or something 💀
Yeah watching the video I knew I needed to add some sort of sweetener especially if the oat milk I use is unsweetened.
They used sweetened oat milk? Did you?
Add more vanilla and some softened, pitted dates (even better to blend up 1 cup dates with 3/4 water first to create a fantastic date butter/date sauce). And use more vanilla. Everyone's taste buds are different. They may not prefer things as sweet as most people.
I honestly think banana nice cream would taste better..I mean this literally just has oat milk in it so I’m not surprised. Texture looks great but taste seems eh🤷🏻♀️

Looks only as sweet as the oatmilk is, which even ones with added sugar aren’t super sweet. I saw someone above recommended pitted dates blended with it and I think that would be perfect.
