▶Cutting instructions
What you Need
Cut 2 Exterior fabric 10" x 9"
Cut 2 Lining fabrics 10" x 9"
2 pieces of sew-in or fusible Foam 10" x 9"
2 pieces of Pellon SF101 10" x 9"
Cut 2 Lining Fabric 3" x 1.5"
9-inch zip or longer as we will be cutting this down.
Zipper Foot for your machine
Rotary Cutter
Rulers
Erasable marker
Matching thread

▶Hi and welcome to Darvanalee Designs Studio, my name is Nicole Reed, and today we are going to make a How to Make a Flat Bottom Make-Up Bag with Easy Zipper Tabs... using our easy zipper tab method...You will learn how to install a zipper with tabs...You will also learn how to create a crosshatch quilt design, and finally, I will show you how to turn your pouch into a flat bottom pouch so it will stand while you are using it...This pouch makes for a perfect cosmetic bag or pencil case...So let's get started.

Perfectly executed tutorial. Thank you! I made several bags for my hubby now to put his odds and ends of electronic cables, charging plugs, etc. in. He's loving them. Now all he has to do is reach in the drawer and pull out a bag with whatever items he has stored in them and they aren't scattered and all tangled up. I'm loving it! Excellent teacher! Love this item but personally I'll make mine longer/deeper. A friend introduced me to the nylon version and I love them but this video gives me the idea to make and give as gifts in fabric that the recipient loves! What a great video with no voice/spoken words!!

A new way to do zipper tabs, brilliant! At least I don’t have to fold in the center, fold the sides to the center, then fold the center with your method. I like it just fine!

Thank you so much! I’m adapting a purse that doesn’t have a zipper top and do not like recessed zippers. This is perfect! And you make it look so easy! Cross fingers I do it right and don’t mess up other parts of the purse ha ha
