😂 50:24🤣 You crack me up! I’m just so blessed to be able to glaze my things along with you and I am so thankful that your videos are over an hour long! Those are my favorite! Thanks for sharing your talent and life with us. I’m so thankful.
Oh my!! I was (still am) a paper crafter before I started with pottery and have hundreds of stamps! Never even thought of using them on my pottery! Love it! Thank you!
Miss Lisa we have missed you so much, and you could never be boring. I wish I had seen this earlier in the day, I was glazing and having coffee and your video would have made it better! I am so glad to see you again!
Hi. I loved watching this video. They're always informative and entertaining. I was waiting for Millie to stand on the applicator bottle 😊 I like the idea of the potters pad and made a note of it, so guess what I'm going to shout myself. I'm not concerned about the length of the video. I enjoy watching them. I have some bisqued mugs, so I'm going to make one or two.
Thanks Carolyn. ❤️. So happy you enjoyed it! Yeah, that Millie. 🙄 She's usually not that persistent. She was being a stinker! I think Sheffield Pottery also carries those stamp pads. They have free shipping, I think. The stamp pads work really nicely with rubber stamps. Good luck with your mugs!
Hi Lisa. I am new to your videos and love what you do with underglazes especially the way you blend them. I am not a painter and was wondering if you might possibly do a tutorial on how you make your colors and how to load a brush to get the beautiful variations/shadings in your flowers.
Thanks so much! ❤️ Hmmm, I'll have to figure out how to put all that in words. 😀 The colors are just out of the bottle. I'm going to be doing a video soon on some doodle mugs, so I'll try explain the process a little more. Thanks for watching!
I get excited when I see you’ve made a video over an hour! It’s NEVER boring - I just love listening to you work and watching your process. I feel like you should charge a lot more for your mugs. They aren’t just a mug - they’re a work of art. I’d love to buy one from you. 🥰 Good luck at your sale!
Thank you .I think i will have to buy an ink pad love these.I sleep with the tv on as well no Bob Ross but Diane Antone she does whimsical water colors painting a lot like your style
I can't wait to try this! You make painting look so easy and relaxing to do. I really appreciate the length of your videos and your honesty in the making process. Even though I've been a Hobby potter/sometimes seller for 23 years I still learn so much from you 😊
Ha ha ha ha, Millie the stink pot - she is so typical of cats though, independent and does what she pleases. I kind of admire cats for that!! :) @@WildAcornsArtStudio
My gosh these are amaaaazing!! Your method is just incredible!! Thank you soo much for sharing it with us. I’m glad to know that speedball has changed their formula. I wanted to like their underglazes but wow they are so hard to use and are a weird consistency! If you use filtered water in your glazes they won’t smell bad. But I think that’s too late now. Lol Omg I don’t know how you deal with the cats lying down right on your work area like that! Hahaha. I’ve never been around cats but I don’t think I could relax around them being in my studio!! Lol. I also have to say that I like the look of the handle when it’s pulled from the bottom and looped over to the top!!
Thank you!! ❤️ This is probably my favorite method of underlgazing right now. As for the handles, yes, I like these better than the ones I used to make. I pull the handles right off of the mug. It's so much easier than the way I was taught years ago.
@@WildAcornsArtStudio oh excellent thank you for replying, I've been searching for this answer everywhere. They would be food safe then if fired to this temp with food safe glaze? Everywhere seems to have conflicting info that mugs must be stoneware to be food safe.
@willowmoon7173 yes, they would be food safe, as long as the clear glaze is food safe. There are many types of low-fire dinnerware and mugs that are in restaurants.
Thank you!!! ❤️. Hmmm, I bouhht them from different places. I think it was from Elan Transfers, Plum Island Transfers, and Sanbao Studios. (chineseclayart.com)
Wonderful video! Are you doing all of these underglazes, stamps and transfers on bisque ware? I'm fairly new in the glazing process and I always want to confirm what to do. Thanks so much!
Yes. I prefer to apply the underglaze, stamps, and transfers on bisqueware. But you could also apply them to greenware, then put them through a bisque fire and apply the clear glaze after that.
No, I don't. I've heard a lot of other potters complain about it, though, so I guess it's pretty common. I bought some bleach, though, so I'm just going to add a few drops to kill the bacteria or mold.
I had forgotten about the potter's pad, I remember seeing them and never understood what they were for, before my pottery journey began. I love your doodle projects, they always make me smile with all the lovely colors. Can I ask a technical question, I have a really hard time hearing you in your videos, I have to turn my sound and my speakers up really loud to hear you, then when an advertisement comes on it blares so loud. Is there a way to turn up on your end to get more sound, it would really be great if so? Thank you for all you do, it's always great fun to watch Millie make herself known to us all!!!
Thanks for the feedback. Next time I make a video I will make sure my phone's microphone is all the way up. Hopefully, that works. Not sure what to do, if it doesn't. 🤔 cross fingers
@@WildAcornsArtStudio thank you so very much for your response. I am new at pottery. But I didn’t know WHEN to apply them so thank you so much. It is very nice of you to answer everyone here. I pray God blesses you double for your kindness. 🙏🙏🙏
@@WildAcornsArtStudio I was wondering how you can paint the Bottom Of your mugs? How do you put them in the kiln so they don’t stick to the shelves? Would this save you money if you didn’t either or would my products look better if I did? Just wondering if you ever left off the top coat of clear glaze. These are beautiful! Could you do this process then fire mugs to around 1070 Celsius with a food safe clear glaze?
Yes, definitely. As long as your clear glaze is compatible with your clay firing. Underglazes can be fired upto cone 10, so they're very versitable.

These are Amaco Velvet Underglazes, and then two coats of a zinc-free clear glaze is applied over the dried underglaze.
