Keep chatting, I love your videos! Life is serious enough, this helps me wind down. Watching you is like sitting and doing a project with a sweet friend. Keep doing you!
Love your videos, Lisa! I’m currently sitting here at the wheel putting a knob on a butter dish as I watch you hand build these beautiful faces. Definitely getting ideas from you for another project. Thank you for sharing this. I love the chitchat, it keeps mein the moment when I’m working in the studio. I can relate to you so much and I appreciate the time and effort it takes for you to do these. Thank you so much.
@suzannea8180 Thank you so much! ❤️ I appreciate your kind words. Glad I can be of some inspiration. It's always fun to see what other artists make and how they craft it. Happy Holidays! 😀
Hi Lisa…please keep chatting! I try to watch all your videos…and the cats and dog…..perfect…so comfy in the afternoon And you give us such great ideas! Can’t say enough good stuff😊👏👏👏
Love your videos. I was so in awe of you and your style of pottery when I first discovered you. You inspired me to step out of my box and try more hand building and painting on the pieces with underglaze. In doing so I was so surprised I sold almost every piece that I made. Thank you so much and please continue the conversation. Love it!!!!
Lisa, you are so talented and should never forget it. Not only are you artistic with a unique style, but you have also a way with talking to viewers to make us feel like we know you. Your videos have a lovely cosy feel and I enjoy watching for inspiration and for the happy vibe. So thank you for being you!
I love the idea of how you reclaim your clay!! I was so shocked at how fast the hardibacker board dried my clay!! You definitely can’t forget about it that’s for sure!!
Thanks. It's such a simple method, if you don't have a large studio. And yes, the hardibacker does dry it out fast! I have to remind my students constantly to check on their reclaim on it, because they get working on the wheel, and forget, and then it's hard as a rock! 😀😃🙂🙃
@@WildAcornsArtStudioI just made one of these along with you and it turned out sooo great!! It wouldn’t be your video if you didn’t chat with us!! I just love the handles! Thanks for the little extra tutorial at the end!!
Thanks for another great video, the chit chat feels like we had a good visit and as always, I learned something new. I will be getting a piece of hardie board as I only hand build, and a new idea for handles, with some good tips for hand building techniques. You are such a valuable resource to beginner potters like me. ❤
Hi Lisa! Thank you for this vase video and for the bonus mold!!! I love that idea of creating molds. I was in my studio making Easter egg plates and giggling along with you. Felt like I had a friend with me. Love your chit chat, Millie, and Archie. Oh….congrats on getting into the Cinci art show.
Love watching your process and you are a great teacher. Your instruction is clear and lots of great tips. I think we all need to play in clay. Being mainly a wheel thrower I have been enjoying hand building. The freedom and creativity in it….so much fun in just being in the moment.
Just found your video and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am not fond of functional pottery either. I love whimsy and texture!, please make more videos! You are a natural teacher along with your talent!
Great video Lisa. I love your whimsical vases. I totally get it about handbuilding v throwing, although I like throwing I find handbuilding more satisfying and complete. Thanks for this surprise at the end, I learned something about mould making. Best wishes 😊
Love this video, lots of detail. Really like the bonus mould too, I'll be looking at old toys now, I think we've still got a box of dinosaurs from when the boys were young❤😂
Love your videos Lisa!❤️ your work is fun and always cheerful😊you give Lots of info and tips, Thank you😊 have a lovely Easter🌸🌼🐣 PS: love your chattering! Maybe you would do a video with your hanging Bird baths.
Hi Lisa. Love your videos. Never stop chatting. Love this. It could almost be turned into a tankard. I'm just a hobby potter, so I just use earthenware clay. Most of my stuff ends up in a cupboard somewhere. I love how you did the bunny mold. I do stuff like that, so now I know that I'm on the right track.
I prefer the wheel but I’ve been hand building vases lately. I got a really good deal on flowers yesterday at Michaels to display in them. Your use of texture is great fun!
I am pretty new to pottery. I was excited to see that I have that placemat that you used for texture. No idea where I got it, but have used it several times already. Still need to get hardibacker board.
Thanks for watching. Good luck with your pottery. I work mainly on a piece of Birchwood when I'm building items that don't need to stand upright. They both clean up nicely.
Yes, seems like everything comes from China. 🤔 South Africa, wow, a world away! 🌎 ❤️ Thanks for watching. Hope all is well there. I'm looking so forward to spring. But I feel like Winter is a time when the plants can rest. 😀
Thanks. No, I haven't tried that, because I want the overlap to cover the side seam. It makes it more difficult if you put the overlap on first. It can be done, though. Just depends on what you prefer.
Thank you! ❤️. Sorry, I don't remember where I got it at. I bought it about 10 years ago. Any local clay supplier should have one, I think. If not, Amazon may sell it.

Thank you so much, Sylvia! ❤️ I feel like we should get a nice drink and sit and do pottery together. And maybe a snack. 😀

Thanks so much!! ❤️ I'm actually making some hanging birdbaths now. I'll try to make one more, if there's enough dark clay left. 😀
@@WildAcornsArtStudio that would be fantastic Lisa 🇩🇰😊❤️
Cool beans. Love the way you made the bottom, neat technique and results.
Cute how Millie curls up in the box on your work (play) table. Thank you.
Thanks! 😀
So cute!!!!! I agree....there is a lot of pottery out there the same.... I too like being unique in making pottery. Wonky and whimsical is my style 😂
Thanks!

Yes, it would be a fun tankard. 😁

Thank you. What great luck on the flowers! They're expensive now. 🤔
Great stuff I agree i love all the beautiful glazes out there but I think my favorite stuff is the unique things
Thanks Corry. ❤️
Love these!! I’ll have to give this a try.

Hi getting ready for winter, autumn here in South Africa! Those mats we get here in China shops or shops importing fr China

Love it 😍😍😍how do you keep and save the texture you made when you glaze it? Sometimes glaze erase the texture!
Thank you. ❤️. Be sure to use a transparent glaze. And only three coats. I plan to use Amaco's Textured Turquoise on a few of these.
Cute vases. Question: have you tried applying the folded top to the slab before shaping the vase?
Thanks. No, I haven't tried that, because I want the overlap to cover the side seam. It makes it more difficult if you put the overlap on first. It can be done, though. Just depends on what you prefer.
Love your videos. another awesome vase. do you have a brand name for the roller? I loved it
Thank you! ❤️. Sorry, I don't remember where I got it at. I bought it about 10 years ago. Any local clay supplier should have one, I think. If not, Amazon may sell it.
@@WildAcornsArtStudio thank you will check that out❤
Sometimes called a pony roller. I’ve seen them in cooking shops/aisles
