I want to move out to get away from my family, its an extremely toxic environment and its not doing my health any good. I've already taken the first few steps to move out: looking at properties, moving from part time to full time, lesrning to drive so I can move further away to give myself more options- but my parents think I'm full of it and say I'll not be able to. Toxic, gaslighting family and the grandmother/evil matriach I'm living with who says I won't leave even though I've been warning her for 2 years now I would if she didn't change. At 33, I'm just learning how to overcome my driving anxiety and actually drive anywhere at all. We can and will do it, I'm thinking about New Mexico. Much love from Oklahoma.

It is so true in today’s world there are a few parents if not more abusing their children or young adults who are without a stable job and they have NO ONE to turn to who cares enough, they might care but not enough and it’s depressing just to wrap your head around. My reason for wanting to move out is because I hate the suburbs of Texas & wanna live somewhere with more pretty girls, more people my age, & where everything I need is within walking or short driving distance. Pearland is a car-dependent traffic-clogged wasteland & everyone here is old. The lack of social interaction is real bad for my autism too & nobody's interacting with their townspeople when we're all stuck driving.
I'm From Texas I'm 25 I feel very stagnant my family is toxic because of my medical condition & they keep telling me I'm not ready to move out & I've saved up enough i just feel like i need a change of scenery
In USA do landlords tell people that they wont rent to them if they have not been in the same job for 2 years?. I couldnt move out years ago because landlords used that excuse after I got a job at the time when they said they dont take people on welfare. I was in horrible jobs. I stop trying to get an apartment over a year ago. My only options are hotels, airbnb and motels but the prices are so high because of our "prime minister". Im in Quebec, Canada and I want to leave....
Graduate first find what u like to do or what u can do but as a female I would leave as long as ur not being beaten or sexually abused toxic house holds happen
