@@RiaByMe I don’t have to be from the industry to know that she was let go. Two years and they let them go that quick…. All companies have let go anywhere from 17 to 35% of their company. Seems to happen a lot for it being “sometimes.”
Thanks so much for this explanation. Could you please do a video reviewing a great PM resume? Would love to see some examples of successful people's resumes
Exactly. All I'm seeing here is, companies hiring decoration plants to increase billable hours to their investors. The engineers are literally keyboard slaves, they get forced to do whatever they can to move that "big rock".
yep! i'm a product mgr and that's different from a project manager! i have a "how I broke into PM with no experience" video. that'll share more specifically about my journey and why i became a PM.
Its a role created primarily for tech companies and their products so yea the pay is up there. U wanna hire someone to manage your product (literal bread n butter) properly? U pay smart ppl good money to do it correctly P.s. not a pm but worked w a couple on major projects
Because its easily billable. PM mostly get to talk to (((stakeholders))), so the eye candy value holds a candle too. While the engineers billable rates get reduced so that "we can speed up efficiency". The PM and SALES bros can tack on their billables...which based on nothing and vapors, much more flexible to put down on paper. While the engineers and every other departments? Yeah those are slaves, they either do it faster or we replace them with AI or offshore Indians
I recently got promoted to a COO. I'm also working on my Software engineering Bachelors. Is there a way I can become a PM? whjat path do you recommend?
I’m interested in whether you’d prioritize being a pm at a tier 2 tech company or non-pm at FAANG? Btw love this short and will watch the full video. In B2B startups though there’s less A/B experimentation and more “phased” launches instead
@@chloeshih im always wondering if they way I do things are the proper way.. because there is no a single framework and everybody believes they are amazing so I'm always looking for better ways to do things. I will take a look at your video! Really love your content and your energy
I'm not sure I feel safe listening to the rest of this short with the way you were holding that knife at the start. I feel threatened 😂 Hand gestures are also pretty dangerous to combine with sharp pointy objects. Might want to set it down before emphasizing words with hands.

Haven't seen product management explained so easily ever. Working for more than a decade as a product manager. Never.
Awesome job!!
She was let go 😂
Yes. That happens in IT sometimes. For no fault of the person. Doesn't seem like you are from the industry.

we have to know cosing in order to become pm
After watching this video I have 0 idea what a product manager does.
This is so clear- I’m sending this to my aunties the next time we have an awkward career conversation lol

i have a youtube video on resume tactics! you can find it on my channel!
As an engineer I'm always thankful for a good PM!
i'm always thankful for amazing engineers as well! been very blessed to have worked with extremely talented ones!!
Hey! I just wanted to know if technical skills are actually required to become a pm and if yes then to what level…?
@@shreyarawat5375 not sure tbh, but Google career certificates has a course for project management so that might be a good place to start!
PMs are usually former quantitative engineers.... maybe it's different in the finance sphere
Love this! I just started a project management course on Udemy to get my CAPM. Love the way you explained it!
FINALLY!!!!! Something simple and to the point!
Imagine having a good PM 😭😭 it hurt so much hearing how much I’m missing
OMG AMAZING!
Sounds more fulfilling than raising a family!
Can’t forget the PM’s bible: the roadmap 😅
Lol if a pm looses some sleep . The engineers loose all the sleep
Понял. Иллюзия бурной деятельности и поедание арбузов
Exactly.

How can I be one of the people you do testing on and get compensated?
How does this differ from ui design/development?
as if you guys do the testing it is all us UX people! 😜 just joking thankful for my pm 😄
A product owner?
I recently got promoted to a COO. I'm also working on my Software engineering Bachelors. Is there a way I can become a PM? whjat path do you recommend?
Wait what? COO is way higher than a PM!
i hope you're not trolling because, if not, i worry you might be under compensated
How are you getting all the product management offers

oh I actually do a lot more phased launches than A/B experiments in my current role! I've been on products that's launched from 0-1!
Can you make a video on PRD?
i've already shared a generic template in my day in the life videos. are you looking for something specific about PRD writing?

😂😂😂 it looks a lot closer on video than it is in real life!! it does give dangerous vibes haha
you are too healthy for a PM
🤣🤣 u sound like someone with experience
You make everyone's life worse.
