    This helps. I’ll just tap the wire at the ecu though. Only need to run the IO wire to the ecu then.

      That works 💪 I knew this was temporary so I didn't want to mess with the harness.

      @@BlaserBuilds when setting up boost vs time do I need to setup a trigger? Or if I set it up how you did just flat across will it always control boost to that desired number? For now I’m just adding a few lbs on top of the gate and don’t need to ramp it in. Just hold that pressure at all times. Thanks

    I get an initial spike should I play with p or d? Or should I try and ramp it in with time? I command 5dome and get 8 spike then correct to 5-6. Dome map 3port like 4 port 6 psi spring.

    So what if you have the 5 bar map sensor from holley? Do you still select 3 bar for ur input?

    Are you running the signal wire that’s meant for a dome pressure sensor to the map sensor?

      Basically, just steals the 5v from the map and using it like a dome sensor.

      a21bravo check out Aaron Mello write up on the sloppy mechanics private Facebook page. Mostly about the filter circuit. That will help with the PID tuning
      Edit: if you haven’t considered it and you are input limited I like some of the hybrid open/closed loop options better. You can do target boost but don’t have to deal with all the PID tuning to get it to work and don’t even have to use an input for DomeMAP

    I'm using domemap as well and have it setup through boost by gear with a 4port Mac valve using raw duty cycle target boost/rpm. Working great for me. Can lower it for the street for each gear and then all the way up for at the track. If you have any interest would be happy to show you my tune.

    So if I have this right you tried the closed loop map and dome control deal but decided to go with boost vs speed instead....or did you still need to tap that map signal wire to do boost by speed? Sorry just trying to wrap my brain around it all. I also wondered if tapping that map signal wire drains the signal at all...I don’t see how it would but I just wondered about my own crank signal I split on my own setup to keep the factory stuff in play for my dash etc.

    • @BlaserBuilds
      @BlaserBuilds  4 роки тому +1

      It doesn't effect the signal since it is a voltage signal. If it was a thermistor like a temp gauge it wouldn't work because its resistance based.
      Boost vs. Speed still uses the dome function to target. I dont have an in input release set up (trans brake), so speed vs time will work better for me.
      I could tie it in to my rev limiter input if I wanted to use boost vs. Time.

    I’d like to see a long 3rd gear roll on with boost set to a steady 10 or 15 psi. I’ve tried multiple strategies with map as dome and could never get a level boost level. Always overshot and would fluctuate 2-3 psi continuously. Never seen anyone get it working correctly yet.

    • @BlaserBuilds
      @BlaserBuilds  4 роки тому +1

      17:24 in my new video... The scaling is off so the lines are at different spots, but 3rd gear start about 1lb over then near dead nuts at 16lbs at the end. But you can see the blue line level off, and yellow solenoid duty bringing it towards target.
