@Nicholas I think its at 30 and like 50 duty cycle. It just bumps in. I haven't played with it to see if I can get it to creep or do the small bumps in. Its pretty violent haha
Burndown From what I know and been told by those in the know... lower frequency and high duty cycle will calm the bump down a lot. I’ll be taking mine to the track and I’ll let ya know if I find a good setting. We have very similar setups so settings should cross somewhat
Just set this up last week on my car. When I was browsing through the software and found the staging stuff... I freakin lost it 😂. I was so pumped I didn’t need to buy a bump box. I still wish the ecu has at least one or two more I/O
I think thats the game really. If it had just a couple more you would have no need to upgrade. In all reality tho I have one of each left at this point. I think I would like a drive shaft sensor but have not got that far yet.
I’m sorry if this is a stupid question but did you have to get a valve body with a trans brake or is this holley’s way of eliminating that. Because I know the sloppy mechanics trans break for the 4l80e is just finding pinouts for the trans and not using a actual transbrake.
@@Burndown , new to the term x ecu , removing my Fitexx. thanks for the vid as i am about to install mine, from what i saw from Holley if we add the 7'' dash it adds more I/O's.
I followed your instructions. I have a th400. My solinoid is sticking. It's not a valve problem. It's sticking due to power. Soon as I take wire loose. It releases. Think it is the pwm ? I set it to single stage lie you did. Just to verify it works. It will go in. But not back out till I take wire loose
The Holley just sends a low voltage ground signal output. All the power to the solenoid needs to go through a solid state relay for a bump to work. I would try another relay if its staying on it should be momentary. Maybe your frequency is too low or the time it too high. It only needs to happen for a fraction of a second.
@@havocracing6019 the 12v needs to go to a relay and then out the the brake. The brake should be grounded to the chassis. The relay is triggered by the Holley. If you trigger the relay and it stays on you have a wiring issue sounds like
Nothing to make it creep. I just bumped it and it was pretty harsh. Just play with the numbers a bit. Im going to work on all this stuff when my cr is back up and running. Ill make a video when I got through the process as I get this question more than I thought I would. Everyones set is up different tho so what works for my car may not be right for yours.
This is John from San Jose California I have an LS 6 l 4L60E transmission I want to hook up a pressure sensor to the transmission and map it through to my handheld I need to know how to do that maybe you guys can put a video on for me please no explosions thank you
Im curious as to why you want a pressure sensor on the transmission? It would be the same as adding any pressure sensor the the terminator x. I dont have a reason to do this but look up how to add a pressure sensor and its the same as what your trying to do.
Play with the duty cycle. May need to be a lower frequency to work. You can actuate it with the motor off so you can hear if its clicking or not before you fire it up and try it.
Dannymclovin69 I have an aftermarket pressure transducer as an oil pressure gauge in the Maliboom and it plugs into the Holley harness so you won’t need to burn and input👍
Yeah it works fine but I never got the soft bump in to work where you pulse the signal. Ill play with that more when my car is back up and running. The SSR I used works fine.
@@Burndown if I have the laptop connected and view the same tune, it shows them. If I view the file on the laptop without being connected to the ECU, it doesn't show them.
Hey man im having a hard time getting mine setup, i have a single stage nitrous application, with the transbrake wired B+ care to give me the rundown of how to set it up in the holley? I dont use a bump function. Can seem to find a video of anyone doing it via 12v rather than ground. Any insight would be much appreciated! Thanks!!
I have not done NOS with a terminator yet so I'm not familiar with it but I bet you need a relay to run it. I know they sell one that is a solid state and you just use the ground to trigger the relay I imagine so the 12volt is run through it and the Holley output ground us used to ground the relay and let the 12v kick the NOS. You can also ask the terminator X forum on Face book as im sure someone it running NOS. Hope this helps.
Hey mate, Killer video. just a quick question about the Launch PSI. Every value i try to enter in the Launch PSI comes up with an error message saying the max is (0.0psi). Any ideas of what it may be?
Burndown got it sorted mate, turns out you have to set your boost by time chart before you can select your launch psi. The boost by time or rpm max psi will be the limit for launch. I hadn’t set up the boost by time yet so it wouldn’t allow me to set the rest.
Good luck man! I hope it roars to life for you. Just a note the Terminator X does not like low voltage so avoid running the battery way down and trying to crank it. I have heard it can cause issues so better safe than sorry.

This was an extremely helpful video, thank you sir!
Super helpful ! Dont forget about the advanced table for boost too !
Super helpful finally on my level of knowledge
Thank you for watching!
the most helpfull so far! like others i was super excited about not buying a bump box or scramble controller
Glad I could help!
Thanks for the simplicity!

I have a few other video requests so im gonna get to them as I can for sure.
Good work but I missed the one on how you wired all 3 to work on the same pin. I think you said they were all off the ground signal
Yes. All the inputs to the ECU are a ground signals. So when you push the button all the button does is make contact with a good ground.
Did you ever find a frequency and duty cycle

I have watched both our videos on trans brake wiring and can’t quit see the diagram did you use a input protection module and where did you put it
I did not use a protection module. I figured the solid state relay act’s as a buffer. I’m sure an electronic guru may disagree but so far no problems.

I have a tci th400 what would be the staging setup for mine
You need to play with the settings to find where your car works best. This should get your trans brake working and then you need to play with it.
great video thanks
You bet
Have you tried adding the scramble? So I’m guessing you set it up the same way and add it to the bump button?
Yes you can just add it to the bump button. You just enable it and then go to IO and drag it to the same pin as your bump button and your done.
Thanks.
Working on my monte lq4 6.0
Heck yeah!
What solid state relay did you use? And do you have a wiring diagram for it?
I used a 20$ one off Amazon. I show a diagram in the video I have titled trans brake wiring.
@@Burndown so you're using 2 inputs and an output through holley to wire the trans brake?
What duty cycle and frequency did you end up with sir

For some reason when I re-open my tune, it doesn't show my I/O's that I created before. They function but don't show up in the tune
Make sure you save your files. Also you may need to download the tune form the ECU and save that before you work on it more so you have a back up.

Does it have 2 step controls? Or do you have to get the msd 2 step box?
