@Fahad M do you stand for the African American in the USA? Do you protest the murdering of fellow citizens and laws to keep them poor and powerless? As previous poster said it’s the government of both countries. i don’t see any difference between China and USA. China is communist and USA is a sham democracy. If we are so against Communism why did we even trade with China ever? At least China cares about their people. While in 30 years our poverty levels have gone up, Chinas has gotten so much better. The anti-Asian and anti-Asian American sentiment has always been present. Despite the title of the book Fear, I think we’re neither discussing the properly framed problem, nor the big picture solutions yet. #FearIsTheProblem. Fear is the root of bullying, misogyny, homophobia, racism, bigotry and greed. Fear allows people to mentally wall-off their own empathy to virtually zero. #MakeBigotryShamefulAgain Three of the biggest generators of fear are 1) out-of-control capitalism and historically unsustainable and exponentially growing wealth and income inequality levels (if you lose your job you might lose healthcare access, your home, car, partner, child custody rights, etc), 2) fear-mongers like Fox/Faux/Fear News, the GOP, etc. (they’re all out to get you, all the time), and 3) religion (‘evil’ is waiting around every corner, all your life with eternal unimaginable fiery torture as a deterrent). Let’s be honest, no amount or size of Great Walls, or military spending, or nuclear arsenal, or non US soil military bases and ops, or international weapons sales, or personal weapons and magazine sizes, or of school teachers with guns, or of privatized, militarized (and systemically racist) police and mass incarceration, or of mass deportations including the Dreamers, or of bans of entire groups of people, or of intentionally torturous (and often permanently orphaning) separation of immigrant children as a deterrent, or threats to shoot rock-throwing refugees, or torture of POWs, or control over women, or Space Farces, or border moats filled with snakes and alligators, or anything else will ever Make American Republicans Feel Safe enough... Every single American Republican policy puts fear and greed (fear) before people and planet (including equality and empathy) and no single policy in the world in the modern era is as patently bigoted and of the scale as their continued fight to ban (and register, and “pre-arrest”, etc too) all Muslims (a bigotry-blanket of fear/hate covering all 1.8 billion people of all colors, from all nations, of all ages, of all sexes and sexual preferences, etc). Fear (and the empathy and critical thought it kills) is what separates the right from the left. The fear at the root of ”Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind.”-Albert Einstein Liberals hate American Republicans because all of their policies put fear and greed (fear) before people and planet (including equality and empathy). American Republicans hate liberals for the exact same reasons, because they’re afraid we’ll get in the way of their fear and greed. We’re closer to #AmericanCivilWarII than most people believe and just like before our own friends and family members would take up arms against us for not getting on board with their extreme greed and bigotries just like the Confederates in 1865 or the Nazis in 1938. With tuition free education, universal healthcare, a universal basic income (UBI) and internet access for all, we’ll raise the starting point of capitalism from zero, we’ll let you die with no money, to a level of life with dignity, reducing societal daily fears on a massive scale which will free us to welcome the coming automation revolution with open arms rather than fear and great harm. #getALLmoneyOut #EqualityMovement #BLM Call me overly positive, but I think we’re leaving the era of ‘greed is good’ and celebrating wealth and entering an era of altruism and equality. @Stan Alexander Silly Nazi defender. Name the most Nazi-like policy of the left in the modern era...: Now my turn...: American Republicans teach their kids that Martin Luther King, Jr was an instigator of violence rather than the champion of peace and equality as is the truth, and they're still fighting against an MLK holiday. But they don't think of themselves as racists... American Republicans vote for the same candidates, party and policies as the KKK, Nazis and other white supremacists. Yet they don’t believe they’re white supremacists or radicalized bigots. Republicans are fighting to build the greatest wall since China, to force the already poorer nation to pay, to add a snake and alligator filled moat with impalement spikes, to be able to shoot, at least in the legs, any refugee that even nears their wall and to deport 11+ million people including the DACA Dreamers that know no other home. But Republicans don't think they're fear and greed (fear) filled fascists or racists. Republicans, like Nazis support their radically Nazi-like immigrant child separation (often permanently orphaning) policy as a deterrent for their white supremacy. Yet they don’t accept that they are radicalized fascist bigots. Republicans are still fighting to ban all Muslims and they want to have registries of those that remain and to do ''pre-arrests'' of them too. But still Republicans don't think they're fear and greed filled radicalized fascists or bigots. Republicans want to ban gays from the military, to ban transgender people from public restrooms and to ban gay marriage. But Republicans still don't think they're radicalized bigots. Republicans don't say a word against Drumpf and his repeatedly announced desire to claim the election was rigged against him and/or covid issues and to cancel all future elections ''until they figure things out'' (like their Muslim ban, never) to become America's first (bigoted, fascist) dictator, not to mention their support for the treasonous, terrorist coup attempt on January 6th. Yet still Republicans don't think they're fascists or bigots. Republicans never say a word against the most radically bigoted parts of the Bible that literally command their believers to kill all gays, to kill all non-believers, that it's sometimes OK to kill wives, slaves, etc. Yet still Republicans don't think they're bigots. Every single Republican policy takes or prevents equality from women, minorities, the poor, etc relative to the progressive alternative. They’re so poor (morally), fear and greed are all they have left. They’ll go full Confederate / Nazi if the world lets them. We're closer to American Civil War II than most believe where our own family members would take up arms against those of us that do not get on board with their radicalized bigotry and greed just like the slavery-defending Confederates they idolize. But still they don't think they're Confederates / Nazis... #BuildBridgesNotWalls #DeportMeToo #BanMeToo #NaziCoup #ChristianCoup #RepublicanCoup #InsideJob

We were afraid to walk right below a multi storied building because some boy might drop a brick aiming on our head. However, we stayed, worked hard and we are doing good now. On the whole, Americans are good people and I love them. Today's hate crime is due to the US Government calling China a 'geocide' country against Muslims, and targeting China. The Government is targeting Communist China, but the dumb people think all Asians are just Chinese. We need the Government to stop accusing China of genocide without any evidence.
As an Asian American public school teacher, I’ve recently started sharing some of my stories and experiences with my students and in return, many of my students have as well. Children have asked me if I had the virus in my classroom. Children have told me to make them Chinese food. Children have called me Bruce Lee. Children have pulled their eyes back and have said “Ching Chong” to me. As a student I’ve dealt with a lot of racist comments and behavior but I’ve never said anything to anyone my whole life, I just felt upset inside. As an educator, I know this is learned behavior from adults in their life, media, and the society around them. I’ve learned that while I am sad from these comments and experiences, the best thing I can do is teach them about my experiences and culture, and use my voice to help them understand my story, and perhaps similar parallel stories of others. It’s not part of the curriculum, but we’re having some of the most memorable and impactful conversations we’ve ever had. I’m fortunate to be in the position I am to work with the next generation and I’m hopeful for their future based on our conversations. Thank you for using your platform to share these voices, it’s helped me share mine with my middle schoolers as well! I've started a UA-cam Channel to help students with math remotely. I'm hoping to monetize the channel and use 100% of the proceeds to pay low-income students of color to tutor younger low income students of color that look like them. I believe representation matters, and the more POC we have in education sharing their stories and educating our diverse children, the better off we are. -Mr. Lee

Love Ken Jeong and the laughter and joy he brings to our lives. As to the solution for racism? My parents taught me never to limit my life and miss out knowing some incredible people simply because they didn't look like my family. Almost every Saturday night family dinner required adding table leafs to accommodate the assortment of friends invited over. These were loud and fun dinners, usually followed up with some board game. These dinners often looked like a gathering of the United Nations with friends from all nationalities and backgrounds. I think what my parents did is the best start to crush racism which is based on fear and lack of knowledge. Just have people over for dinner and go from there. I have kept up this tradition in my adult life and am enriched by the diversity of my friends and their experiences.
The news about that asian guy who was sliced by a a box cutter across the face made me tear up from sheer frustration from the fact that racism cannot be cured from humanity.

Thank you so much.....I have tried to encourage people to watch South Pacific....the words that you quote is the song that Rodgers and Hammerstein were told had to be removed....otherwise they were told their movie would not be distributed....of course, they refused. I know the words to this song...I think everyone should know those words....thank you for bringing those beautiful words to the public 😊😃😄🥰🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😁😄
I saw the movie when I was very very little so I only have vague memories of it, but now, as an adult, those words are absolutely chilling. Even more so as I am a Korean woman in the US who is afraid of even going to check my mail by myself. I think I will buy that movie and give it another watch today. Thank you.
This country needs a fucking reality check.
Shooting in Colorado last night. Think we'd learn. Nope people are already commenting - NEVER DEFUND POLICE and GOOD GUYS WITH GUNS!
Can we please start calling #defundthepolice - #pawpatrolpolicy ? Can we get that in the ether? I think it would help people get on board with the idea of the right dog for the job.
I just realized it may seem off topic but it would also help with situations like these attacks!
Do your part if you are from here, sign your name.
Putin is still out there - his army of anon's
bent on silencing free speech near and far.
You see you don't get free speech behind curtains.
@Stan Alexander My point is (if you were talking to me, I can't tell), a cops job isn't to judge people (yours isn't either if you are just trying to fix society - judge solutions).
There are plenty of problems with the US, and I am very much in love with Asians (literally, I'm in love with an Asian) - that is completely irrelevant to this person's motives for this shooting. It was someone responsibility to point that out (not to excuse his moods - that part was as failure of the worst kind/ but then only 1/50 could be a real cop).

In Science (or as a true cop) one of the first things you learn, a theory does not make a fact. I'm not excusing anyone = though if you want to go around talking about America like it couldn't change, you too - sound more Soviet than free to me.

Who is leading this hate??? Fucking Putin (QAnon) child - start pointing your fingers where they might fix humanity. Many will die before society gets things right, but will America/ democracy (or Russia) live (before Putin destroys hope for us all).

Link your account to something substantial - like a FB that might go back before Aug 2016 (long after Putin was known to have been fucking with free speech in America - spreading his anon crueltins.... 16 years after his malice began taking over 'his' country). Goodnight-_-, later'
@@AshaSelfsDemoFilms You seem too young (or Soviet) to remember, though four years ago, 'De-fund Police' was De-Militarize. Of course that was before Russia started their cyberwarfare campaign on our brainstem.
See cops supposed to be teachers, mediators and fighters when necessary... the requirements for soldiers (of anon creeps who couldn't carry their true names), is much less. It's much easier to forget ones humanity behind anonymity_ Putin isn't only trying to silence the West, he's trying to silence civility of the Russians - world.
Sign your name child - stand as your parents had once wished you able to do. Land of the Free = Home of the Brave... that is what Putin would most wish to strip from you.

I feel like Asian and Hispanic representation is always missed in Hollywood especially. I feel for Ken because he was probably type casted a lot. Hes the “funny asian side character” you never see him as a main or in a more serious role in a film. I feel like Asians and Latinos are always type casted and never represent enough.
The interesting thing about Latinos though is that Latinos can be of any race...
People don't know actors like Cameron Diaz, Pedro Pascal, Bella Thorne, etc. are hispanic cause they don't look stereotypically latino.
So because of that, it's not really that Latinos are being type casted, it's that Latinos are playing in many roles but people don't know that the actors and actresses are Latinos lol.
I takes centuries to overcome prejudice and hatred against groups, but only four years to bring it all back.
We never overcame any of that. Talk to people of color, they'll tell you that it was always alive and well.
This is real stupidity, people believing that the racists just stopped existing. They always will exist it’s not anybody else’s fault these people are horrid
It’s been rooted in American history, it has never left unfortunately
@@arewealone9969 not just that, it's rooted in human history, and unfortunately it might even be rooted in the very base human instincts. Which is why it's so important to fight it and attempt to breed it out of the human mind.
Like any Asian American in America had anything to do with the outbreak starting in China is an insane connection. To target them for hate for something that originated a world away is illogical. Make peace and love not hate.
Amen
The fact that Asian Women are being targeted and Asian Americans in general just disgusts me. And the fact that elderly's are getting attacked too is just disturbing. Please stop this hate.
Who is responsible for the majority of the attacks?
I'm an 88 year old American born Asian and this is a world that I know not. I was never outwardly discriminated even back in those segregation days. I managed to be a naval officer and a NASA engineer among other achievements.
thank you sir
Thanks for speaking up and speaking out Ken!

Helloo
How are you doing? Hope you and your family are safe
#MakeBigotryShamefulAgain
Three of the biggest generators of fear are 1) out-of-control capitalism and historically unsustainable and exponentially growing wealth and income inequality levels (if you lose your job you might lose healthcare access, your home, car, partner, child custody rights, etc), 2) fear-mongers like Fox/Faux/Fear News, the GOP, etc.
It is the measles of mankind.”-Albert Einstein
Liberals hate American Republicans because all of their policies put fear and greed (fear) before people and planet (including equality and empathy).
#getALLmoneyOut #EqualityMovement #BLM
Call me overly positive, but I think we’re leaving the era of ‘greed is good’ and celebrating wealth and entering an era of altruism and equality. Let’s #AutomateEverything and #SkipToAbundance. #EraOfAltruism #CelebrateSelflessness
@Stan Alexander Silly Nazi defender. Name the most Nazi-like policy of the left in the modern era...:
Now my turn...:
American Republicans teach their kids that Martin Luther King, Jr was an instigator of violence rather than the champion of peace and equality as is the truth, and they're still fighting against an MLK holiday.

Hello 👋

I was unaware of how pervasive Anti-Asian bigotry still was, before this pandemic. Most racists with whom I’ve interacted, held whites and Asians above all, and the model minority myth was so prominent, it seemed that they were considered (and considered themselves) a higher class than us other minorities in America. While anti-black sentiments may run deep in many Asian communities, I hope that this last year is a reminder that we are all in this together. I feel deep sorrow for the hatred and violence aimed at you. I stand with you in solidarity and I will fight for you.
I give you a hint what kind of mental illness those racist people have:
1. Military
2. Boomer
3. Self awareness lacking
4. Stagnant development in the brain.
Really ????, you forgot to mention which race is beating up Asians accross the USA. ?????

I am an Indian immigrant and years ago when I came to this country, there were mostly white children and teen agers who harassed Indians, some asked me to go back, that I am not welcome here - things like that. When we were living in a multi storied building, we saw signs on the wall which said 'Indians go away' - and that was done by the black boys.
I saw a asian women hit in the head by a black man with a skateboard, crazy
As much as I like Ken Jeong, he's causing a lot of the problems by taking on demeaning roles and screwing up the Asian image in media even more.

You’re amazing Ken! Love your work! Keep the faith brother!
