Hey guys!! Im getting this question a lot. "How long did this style take?" For me personally I braided my hair over the course of 2 days off and on, and was not focusing on the hour amount. These braids are long so they took me a while hourssssss). Depending on how fast you (the stylist) braid. the time will vary! Still going to take a while! So get some good movies lined up and get your braid on and be patient with yourself especially if you're trying this for the first time! Good luck guys!
KD Livin’ From my personal experience I would say yes! I’m on week 4, and I’m still enjoying my braids. Also I feel that since these are small to medium in size that also helps with longevity! One more thing lol, I personally love that as they grow out you can’t see a knot slipping from the root of ur hair.
My method I spend a day parting my hair for the braids with rubber bands, than I just start braiding the next day ~I don’t leave the rubber bands in tho I just use them to hold the parting . I spend a day doing the parting so I can take my time and make it neat so the braids lay nicely because I struggle with neatly parting for box braids. I’m also going to attempt to try this no knots method .
I love these. You inspired me to get them done. I went to a african braiding shop and it t took them about 7 and a half hours. They hurt way less than any braids I've had done before. I can't wait for them to loosen up a little bit so I can play with them more. Thank you for your vid!
YUUPP this is the video I will be showing my stylist lol. The curly ends are PERFECT.! Not too curly, just the right amount of wave/curl. You did a GREAT job!!
Mykeisha Evelyn no , it’s not stiff . If you have problems with it being stiff the heat from the shower will take care of it or even a warm towel around the braid ends will help . They are lighter on the scalp as well . Yes I did them and loved them , the longer I had them in the more natural they looked.
I can’t grip the roots to save my life and I’d really like box braids for my 21st. It’ll be my first “weave” ever and I’m not paying $120 for a stylist to steal my edges 😭
Skye J you can find a good natural stylist who won’t damage your edges it may be best to have a understanding conversation with the stylist letting them know your concerns, make sure you review their work and u like it before you commit. You will have to pay a pretty penny for that type of service if u choose to.
I love your knotless braids. They are exactly what I am going for. Fantastic job! I agreed with the use of little to no music in the video. Helps to focus on what you are saying. Thanks!
Giving this a go right now! Your video is very helpful, this is exactly the style I wanted but I didn’t think a video existed exactly how I wanted it to look! Thanks girl!!
Very pretty braids and looks so natural. you Slayed 👑 this style. Your tutorial was so thorough detailed and to the point. Thanks for sharing your gift 🤩
Definitely want to try these. I’ve been doing Marley twists as my go to summer look but I’ve never had box braids and am sure I can do it myself with much patience and these UA-cam places to help 💀
yesss.. im so doing this style this weekend. i love how you broke it down because i done looked at over 8 vids and this is exactly how i want it. thank you for straight details. :)
I came from your QA video and these are just beautiful! I will be doing these next! And yes sis, prestretched hair is the best! Thank you for sharing ... subscribed 🤗
This is my first time ever with braids. I'm so glad to say I like the knotless as my favorite. Next time I will have my done smaller it makes the hair looks fuller. You did an awesome job.
Beautiful!!! You did an awesome job!!! They look so neat!!! Yes, the time is an issue for me. I use to braid my hair, it took me 2 and a half days. I want to now but IDK!!! Still thinking about it!!!
woow i love those knotless braids. too cute no lie. i also love the length of it also. i wish i was in your city getting my knotless braids done by you. to your very talented when it comes to doing your braids. i love your work also. i really wanted me some long knotless braids also.
Heyy love...please reply Do you attach each strand to one section of your natural hair at a time?? What I mean is, after you attach the first piece to your natural hair, do you attach the piece you put aside to the same section of natural hair you attached the first till all three have been attached?
Hi ☺ New Subbie here!! You did a beautiful, amazing work of art 😍💯 I'll definitely support your channel. The wavy hair looks so nice. It was just enough and very pretty 😍 I'm going to get my hair braided TODAY lol 💃🙌
i know you’ve gotten a lot of questions and i’m sorry to have you keep coming back but do you think this style would work with the rubber band method? i think it would give my hair some extra stretch and help me with cleaner parts but would it be possible for it to be knotless like this? thank you for your time and great video btw!! i can’t wait to try it!! it looks so light weight and easy to style!!
Steph S. Thank you, I personally wouldn’t recommend trying the rubber band method on braids this small, for one that will cause major damage and secondly I’m not sure how that would work to be honest I’ve never tried the knotless version using rubber bands on small parts. My advice, find a good edge control that will keep your parts clean while braiding, take your time and be patient with yourself clean parts are a huge part of the battle with braiding hair lol. And you don’t have to be sorry. Good luck💙
June Much thank you💙 I suffer from really bad dandruff. In a perfect world I would oil my scalp day and night, but just know that the weather/environment will effect your scalp as well especially with it being exposed in a style like braids... hope this helps
Chan S I use a good rat tail comb patience and edge smoothing gel to keep my parts clean. The gel helps those loose hairs stay put and out the way as I braid! Hope this helps.
Caryn Prince So I just finished mines and I love them so much😍 I did mines a little bigger than yours but I used your technique and it was so easy! Just like you said it took me 2 days as well😂
Anne Cuthers I braided mine over the course of 2 days didn’t pay attention to the hour amount I just took my time, but this length will take a WHILE lol, and if my dandruff lets me I want to see if I can go 4 weeks!
Hey Caryn! How do you cut box braids if they are too long??? I love my new box braids but they are entirely too long and I don't have time to head back to my hair stylist for her to fix!! Thanks!!!
Ann Will hello! If they dipped your hair you should be able to cut them with out them unraveling too bad. At that point you can either burn the tips or use a hot tool to melt the synthetic hair. Or even put rubber bands at the end ( trending right now) Before you commit to any of these I say test it out one braid at a time. And remember they will have a different aesthetic than the do now!

Caryn Prince does these last as long as regular braids with the knot?
KD Livin’ From my personal experience I would say yes! I’m on week 4, and I’m still enjoying my braids. Also I feel that since these are small to medium in size that also helps with longevity! One more thing lol, I personally love that as they grow out you can’t see a knot slipping from the root of ur hair.
I can appreciate Honesty!!!
Ppl love saying 2hours lmao I take 2 dayyyyyys Lol
brenda tatum hahahaa seriously, I cant braid that fast. It takes me time lol😂
What kind of hair is this? How did you get the curls at bottom?
Bless you and this tutorial!! I’m so happy you zoomed in so we could actually see the method and that you spoke so eloquently! 😩😭👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾✨

jazzy Angel girl you’re genius ! Thanks 😊
I appreciate there is little to no music in your tutorials. Better way to focus and learn ! 😊
As many videos as Ive watched for knotless braids this is THEEE BEST.
Marquise` Bryant Awww thank you so much☺️💙💙

Melanin Barbie wow thank you! I’m very light handed so mine were completely painless, Hope you enjoy them💙
Did you have to have your hair straightened or relaxed to get this style?
@@r.styles1272 It had to be blowdryed straight but I'm natural
How much did they charge if you don’t mind me asking?
@@beautyandthebeastchronicle5151 $250

jas. You’re welcome, and Thank You, hope you enjoy them!!!
I love doing my braids knotless they look more natural but when my kinky hair starts flaring up all hell goes out the window... but as usual PRETTY!
Cyrious 😂😂 thank you!!! Ima do my best to embrace the frizz!!
If you do them with Marley hair the frizz isn’t as bad !
Does the Marley hair make the braid stiff? And do you did the Marley hair? @@RissaJ101
Mykeisha Evelyn no , it’s not stiff . If you have problems with it being stiff the heat from the shower will take care of it or even a warm towel around the braid ends will help . They are lighter on the scalp as well . Yes I did them and loved them , the longer I had them in the more natural they looked.
Hi! Are these easier on your hair (less knotting when you take them out?). Thank you
