@@Ludwig-van-Beethoven1824
Hmmm interesting. Though there’s a huge difference between ‘value’ and ‘worth’…….
The gun that shot jfk would be pretty pricy too tho
@@nolanmuxworthy3450
True.
I’m not a “conspiracy nut” but, i have watched, read and researched Tons on the jfk case. Mainly because for something SO hi profile, it remains unsolved, which is crazy.
Anyway, several in-depth, serious documentaries, and other investigations by (supposedly) people that who really know their stuff, about 4 or 5 (at least) independent investigations (by either single investigators or people with entire small Teams of guys working), ALL concluded (so, not just talking like, one unheard-of dude, with crazy ideas and a tinfoil hat) that most likely, after thorough investigation:
One Secret Service agent sat in the car behind Kennedy’s, when he realised a serious incident was occurring, drew a weapon from a ‘hidden’ compartment in the car. I think he said it was an AR-15, but were they already around? Anyway if not, it was something very similar. In the commotion, the car he was in (remember, no modern computer controlled suspension, so quite a bumpy ride, in comparison), that second vehicle, hit a bump in the road (like a ‘pot hole’; do you use that expression in the states?) at the exact same time jfk received that famous, far more dangerous, hit. The AR-15 discharged a single shot as the agent lost balance and also was knocked quite hard by the bumpy road. And….. this accidental, single shot from an SS Agent, hit jfk, and removed half the side of the president’s cranium, tragically. I’m NOT saying I believe this is correct, or more possible etc…. But this number of independent investigators and ballistics experts were all convinced. And, looking at their lengthy reports, many, many, many points and other things totally line up and make sense.
So I’m just saying, the weapon used, and the events and shooter, “could” be a lot closer to home than ever thought….
Again, this was from seeing hours of documentaries and other info from a wide range of sources. Just something to think about….. in which case, this ‘near-priceless’ weapon could have gone on in use, like any other, for… well goodness knows how long! Impossible to say. Just something to think about……..

Even as a replica, she's beautiful!
No doubt, can't go wrong with Black Gold and white.
Renting it out is a dumb idea, someone would fire it, or damage it or even "loose it."
Decades ago, my great aunt & uncle owned a tavern & boarding-house in rural PA. At one time, one of her boarders was short on cash and gave her a Walther P38 as payment. Many years later, one of her nephews borrowed the pistol, and somehow, he managed to "lose it". Fortunately, the nephew was nice enough to replace it with a brand new, shiny, chrome-plated Raven! :(
God forbid a boating accident.
Lose not loose lol
When he means "rent it" he probably means rent it to museums. Some of the displays in museums are on loan to the museum for a rent fee by the original owners.
I have Joe Biden’s gun…it fell out of a Cracker Jack box in Scranton, PA when he was a little boy.

Cancel culture at work here. It's all about history. Would you destroy Booth's gun, too? And, they did not put out a hit list on your Dad in particular. Also, your Dad was trying to kill as many of them as he could - one way or another.
@@kennethcurtis1856 It's an inanimate object and a piece of history. There was a "gun buyback" in New England and some woman turned in an STG-44 to be destroyed. The cops new what the gun was as is stood out from everything else and they saved it from being destroyed. You also realize that WWII vets also brought back German weapons, flags, items, and just about anything as a souvenir and a war trophy... right...
@@kennethcurtis1856 no offense, but that's ridiculous. Erasing history just because it offends you isn't right. It's a gun, its not got a mind of its own. Plus yes, if your father was a solider during WW2 of course the Nazis would have tried to kill him, thats what a war entails.
In a german comedy movie a host showed his guests a handkerchief (?) with Hitlers nose secret.
The pp joke had me dying 😂😂
Hitler was never very interested in this pistol--the real version. He kept his two Walthers with him at all times, the one in the holster inside his trousers, the other, larger pistol went on his night stand. Both of those pistols were found on the floor at his feet after the underlings entered his sitting room. People said they never actually heard a shot when he and his wife killed themselves, they just waited for a time and went in. Great video, loved it.
Bad news, I'm afraid. It turns out AH stands for American Historical. That knocks the value down to $50, but I'll give you a hundred 'cause I'm a nice guy. ;-)

I found your channel as a suggestion after watching countless videos from Mark Felton!
Hi, Wear the black colors. Black with White and Red are perfect combinations..
I also think that "renting" the gun is a silly idea since again, it's NOT a historical, meaningful or original gun. WHAT'S the point? It's as valuable as a fake Chinese Rolex!
It's not even as accurate as some of the fake Rolexes these days! Each to their own, but it's not an original Walther and the engraving is not the same, so I think he'd have been better off putting his money towards an original with some history or he could have just had a gun engraved and created his own family heirloom to hand down.
@crash burn real watch people won’t take a Rolex seriously. They’re the Honda Civic of the watch world.
Speaking of interesting Hitler items. In the 70's there was this car touring the US, I saw it at the local mall for free! It was said to have been a gift to Ava Braum from Adolph Hilter. It was a 30's maybe 1938 Mercedes Roadster. It was cream in color w/ a convertible top. The trim was all in gold or gold plate & all the Mercedes logos had been replaced w/ gold swastikas. Horn button, hood emblem, hub cap centers, etc. It also had a 14 speed gear box w/ overdrive. The engine was designed to run on diesel, gas or airplane fuel. It also had a hydraulic suspension where it could be raised up 14" to go off-road. The story was a farm implements salesman from America was in post WW2 Germany and found the car hidden in Ava Braum's family farm barn covered in hay. He purchased the car and had it secretly shipped back to the states as farm equipment. I remember that car like it was yesterday, really something to see in person. Later, I also saw Hilter's parade Mercedes.👍👍👍👍👍👍

Very few of the Nazi committed suicide and were secretly moved to places like Las Cruces, New Mexico under Operation Paper Clip. Hitler moved to Argentina where he lived out the rest of his natural life. My family is German and I’m from New Mexico.

I recall that Adi's golden gun was on the cover of a magazine, in color, many decades ago. Possibly in the very late 1960-70's. I began collecting Third Reich items as a teen. (I am now retired.) It may have been on the cover of ARGOSY. Not sure.
The part of the skull the Russians had was DNA tested and was found to not belong to Adolf Hitler. If you look at your video the picture of the suicide gun has the head of the grip retention screw on the same side as the AH replica gun. Thanks for the video. Take care.
Yes he went to Spain then to Argentina so the FBI papers that have been released. They have done a new documentary and it sorted it out.
Beautiful firearm. The workmanship is exquisite.
I don't know about renting it out. There is too much that could happen to that beautiful firearm. Too, it being a replica of Hitler's Walther it would be in bad taste to use as a show and tell. At least that is my take on it. Good shout out to Mark Felton, who is a historian's historian.
I understand you, but you cannot deny the appeal of showing off such a gaudy piece with a morbid back story. It is poor taste, but poor taste is a viable market nonetheless, and I must say my own tastes can err on the side of poor...

The Nazi trophy replica is not an antique and covered in elephant Ivory. If your renting that thing for commercial purposes you should probably check the local laws concerning it, modern Ivory is pretty unacceptable.

These Walther PP's are hard to get even when they are not engraved. Gun stores are sold out of the all steel Walthers and can't get them in any more. That only makes existing ones more valuable.

Renting a handgun to anyone for a month! I would check with ATF first. Also, if it is genuine elephant ivory you had better check with DHS before you let that ivory out of your possession. I would hate to see you do your videos from behind bars!
See Tom Wittmann’s WAM Hobby Journal #17 regarding the documentation and sale of elephant ivory.
I believe ivory is legal so long as it wasn’t poached after it was banned and that it’s sale does not contribute to modern poachers. It varies between states and countries. In some places it must be over a hundred years, in the UK I think the cutoff is in the 1940’s. My mom collects a ton of antiques and has come across a lot of ivory.
Very interesting bit of history that I did not know. I will say if you rent that gun out for people to show at parties and dinner, by the time you get that gun back it will definitely not look as nice as it does now. Enjoy It’s pristine beauty.
