This is pretty brilliant! I'm looking to get back into Location Sound after being away from it for a very, very long time (we were still using the Nagra IV back when I last worked in Sound.) Your channel has been a very helpful resource!
What questions do you have for our upcoming Mailbag episode? If your question is picked as the top question you will win a V.Lav! So why not enter our contest and see if you can win some free audio gear. 😅
Mailbag question, how would you go about making your own wireless transmitters and receivers for custom use cases? Where did you start and where would you recommend starting? Are there any online resources you would recommend? What type of parts are good to use for wireless transmitters and receivers? Thanks!
How would you troubleshoot some less-than-ideal filmmaking scenarios? For example, the preference is to turn off AC. In certain low-budget situations, it's just not an option. Same with furniture pads. While the ideal solution, sometimes they are not feasible due to time constraints, space limitations, or otherwise. What are some "quick fixes" to these less-than-ideal scenarios?
How about an episode dealing with solutions for noise environments like NYC, elevated train noises or airplane take off routes as well as police, ambulance and fire department trucks passing by a location shoot when your not working within a sound stage or indoor location environment. Cellphone noise from vibrating because people forget to put a phone in airplane mode etc it would be a good topic to cover.
@@mrdogebro interesting question, Break down the use case for us. I have some thoughts, you're best case would be probably to do rehousings/circuitboard bending of someone else's built stuff if you aren't an digital electrical engineer with a background in coding IC chips.
Thank you for any useful tips. My question(s) : What is the best backpack to move with audio equipment? And, especially, what's the best backpack when we are a sound designers and we mainly have audio equipment and sometimes a camera to film our adventure ?
deity microphone is spreading all over the world. There are already 5 products. But there is psychological pressure on products with a fixed battery. Do you have any plans to provide a solution for buyers to replace the battery themselves?
Hi @Deity Microphones bought the bag and the C stand which you linked. You must have used a different model than the linked one. Since it dosnt fit into the case. Of course unassembled. The c stand is maybe 25cm too long. Which stand did you actually put into the case?
@@BTVRhoenrad Nothing in this whole kit uses swappable batteries. It's all rechargable. That way as long as you can get 120v power (which camera and lighting always have). You can have everything in this kit charged in 70 minutes.
Can we get the C-stand you used that actually fit in the case? I've been trying to find one short enough. The Neewer one and the Impact one won't, even when you take the legs off.
I will never throw my main gear case. What will you do in a situation where the airline miss you luggage witch happened a lot. When I travel I always have my main gear in a backpack or on board case on the plane, you don't want to arrive to your destination and find out your case didn't make it with you.

Sweet! Don't forget to put the batteries in the hand luggage (ideally separated from other electronics, which makes it easier for security xrays).
Thanks for the amazing video. Gave me some great ideas of stuff I could do myself.
What ideas did you see that you plan on using?

Excellent travel case who is on the move on long trips, it really is good for protecting gear and well organized.
We thought so, which is why we stole it. 😅

Good job as always!
So you don't have any batteries or charger in this bag? I found a cool USB charger that can charg 7 devices simultaneously. I love it.
The battery is in the bag already. And it uses the same chargers as the laptop I keep in a backpack.
@@DeityMicrophones ah ok. Thanks.

@@DeityMicrophones I was not talking about swappable batteries. I know that there are not powerful enough for the F4 or F8 recorder.

Thanks for the link for the smaller C Stand!
It says the max height is 63", is that really tall enough for a boom mic holder?
Deity has come full circle. Back to aperture

Does the mixer not move around in the bag?

I really love setup videos like this. Really reminds me of DSLRVideoShooter. I kinda wanna see one for a faster setup though.
faster setup? what did you wanna see exactly.

I really love this type of content keep it up guys.
what else would you like to see in future videos?
Is the SKB iSeries 4213-12 Case it’s successor?

Mailbag Question: What is the ideal gear for SFX recording? Inside and outside too. Thanks
Andrew you need to make an episode on how to resocrds audio nfor reality TV, the necklace hidden mics you can built etc.
Will this case fit a Rode Blimp without crushing it?
I suppose it could if you reworked the turtle base a tad with padding.
@@DeityMicrophones Gotcha. Now I'm thinking of getting the Rycote Super Blimp, which is smaller. Hope it fits!

okay. We can do something like that.
Mailbag question: how would you do a remote ADR session without sending the video because of copyright , assuming talent owns a microphone
For the mailbag:
But... can we get a super lightweight kit video that fits into a backpack?
Mics and lights rhymes??? mmmm nice one
Andrew isn't great at words.

What size Bumblebee WIndkiller did you use for the S-Mic 2 and the S-Mic 2S?
It's listed on the Bubblebee website
@@DeityMicrophones Thanks Andrew. All I saw was XS, S, M, etc. Until I scrolled down :p
Does anybody know if this is audiobag from zoom itself for the zoom f8 or is it a orca 28 or something else? Thanks for helping
The bag in this video is the Zoom PCF-8 from Zoom.
