Well actually. The process for Jinjer IS to do the music first and then they give it to Tatiana. They have been together for a long time so that doesn't mean that when Roman, or Eugene or Vlad compose something they don't have what Tatiana might do with what they are writing in mind and are probably mostly right because they know her like nobody else does, but it also works because Tatiana's unsung skill is to take the instrumental and turn it into a story that SOUNDS like the guys wrote the song around her lyrics. No songwriting method is perfect and so sometimes the method doesn't work as well as with other songs but whether it succeeds or not in rendering a good song is how good the band is at writing it and how connected they are to one another.
Tatiana writes the lyrics in Russian then translates them into English, how she makes them fit I don’t know, As you look into more of Jinjer’s songs you will find that lyrics get deeper and more poetic.
