To hear her sustain and top range you should check out "I speak astronomy". It hits different. But I can't wait for this to drop, that live take is nuts.
To be sure of getting the high belt at the end, you'd have to listen to the studio version as Tati doesn't always do it live. It is also a great example of the band's more progressive style with a shed load of different time signatures.
I met Billy Zabka "Johnny", I worked for a cousin of his for 17 years. He couldn't be a nicer guy in person. Tatiana is actually very introverted. She's written lyrics showcasing that, but she lives for performing. The whole band does. They are extremely concerned with the way they sound and play, they've given themselves to the idea of Jinjer completely. Let's also not forget they are from Donbas, and lived there when Russia first destabilized and annexed it. The Bassist Eugene tells a story of him escaping shelling driving 100 miles an hour to get out of a warzone. They play for the idea of Jinjer and also to help raise money and concern for those who have suffered from the conflict. It's almost like you can't get that kind of skill without dedication, but you sometimes get that dedication from tragedy.
Love Jinjer, love Tatiana, check out her performance live with the song “Who’s going to be the one.” Tatiana is one of the best front women in metal today.
I am also a big Pantera fan and Jinjer is the first modern band that excited me after them, cause they brought versatility but mantained that power that slaps you in the face. :D
There's an amazing duality with Tatiana. She is an introvert and not in a subtle way off stage but on stage she runs, jumps, kicks and performs like a maniac. Steps off stage and it turns off. The tattoos and her performance belie the person underneath. Which goes back to Pisces which is her in pretty much every way. She can turn it off and on the same way she does the harsh vocals. There is a video that came out recently called Jinjer Audotree From Nothing where they play three songs in a live session and talk about the history of the band, their friendships and their writing process. It's an excellent watch and there are reactions to this video on UA-cam.
And introverts are no worse than extroverts on stage, but are often much more talented For example, here on the channel was Ado, she is also an introvert.
In an interview on Charasmatic I remember Tatiana is sometimes jealous of the other band members being able to go out and drink/hang out off stage. But she pushes her vocal abilities so hard on stage that she has to rest and care for her instrument off stage
Jinjer - Audiotree From Nothing (Live Performance) Jinjer - Pit of Consciousness (Live in Kiev) Jinjer - On The Top (Live in Kiev) Jinjer - Who Is Gonna Be The One (Official Live)
You should get in contact with The Charismatic Voice - she's really interested in learning more about how harsh vocals work and is actively involved with current research.
We all might get a good look at Tati's false chords' work while growling, due to Elizabeth's passionate work and curiosity. Love it! ❤ edit: uhmmm, can I say that here?
I cannot wait for their new album! Their new song, Someone's Daughter, is incredible. I'll be seeing them October 2nd! Reinventing metal is what they do, and they do it well. 🤘
Jinjer will hit the road this September and October across North America with Hanabie and Born Of Osiris. The tour includes a stop at the upcoming Metal Injection festival in Brooklyn.
The truth is, Tatiana describes herself as a introverted nerd. And IRL, it seems very much the case; she is cautious in her interviews, reads philosophy and enjoys visiting museums.
Like you I'm an old school metal head for whom grunge is still a new wave. But I've been forcing myself to appreciate new metal, just so I can avoid boredom! Jinjer is one of the new bands that have saved me, made me believe metal can still be new and interesting. Also, Ghost! Love those guys. And more recently been blown away by Falling in Reverse!
Gentleman I contend that Jinjer is the greatest thing to EVER come out of what use to be the U.S.S.R.!!! Boo ya!!! Some call her the Queen of Scream! This lady can actually sing. Plus she is as cute as a button!!!! And English is a second language for her!!! But you two knew that already.... I so enjoy this group!!!!! Thanks
I thought, Johnny, we were thinking the same thing at the end (15:34) when you were saying "and I think deep down, a lot of us have that really, you know, that desire to wanna just..go against the norm" I was right with you until the "go against the norm" phrase where I was instead saying outloud "date her!" 😊
The most amazing thing is that she does ZERO vocal training. She doesn't do exercises, she doesn't warm up, she doesn't practice. They say she is constantly singing as she goes through her day, but nothing you would consider practicing. She has an iron larynx. And she's super introverted off stage.
I don't know what your process is for taking reaction requests is, but if asking in a comment is the way, I suggest reacting to The Warning. A power hard rock trio consisting of three sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. Dany on lead vocals and guitar, Paulina on vocals and drums, and Alejandra on bass and backing vocals. Check out "Hell You Call A Dream" live from the Pepsi Center for a recent performance of a song off of their latest album.
You need to listen to Alissa White-Gluz, the singer of Arch Enemy. She sings primarily with harsh voice for their whole concert. She also has a fantastic clean voice. These singers know how to sing without damaging their voices.
Tatiana is an absolute metal queen 🤘 We gotta get you guys into some more harsh vocalists too. - Devin Townsend performs 'Kingdom' for EMGtv - Spiritbox - Circle With Me - Courtney LaPlante live one take performance - Lorna Shore - To The Hellfire - Slaughter To Prevail - Viking
If you haven't yet, please check out a video from The Charismatic Voice with Will Ramos where they stick a camera down his throat. If you really want to learn about how harsh vocals are produced. It's an absolute amazing video.
Another facet to this Jinjer / Tatiana Shmayluk story, here is what her real personality is like summed up in this short inerview. She's an introvert but so damn Bubbly. She loves singing. It's a must watch. A short 4 minute jam/improv session during an interview. To me she's less like a Demon, and more like Cleopatra Reborn. She'll Charm you until she gets her way. And if you don't listen, she'll crush you. ua-cam.com/video/VXzFC3-gdqg/v-deo.html
Eugene (Jinjer's bassist and manager) however does BJJ and won silver at the Abu Dhabi qualifying tournament in Kyiv a few years back. Re: reggae-metal, check out Skindred, they're really awesome and have some fun concert videos. Fun fact: the throat tattoo is the face of the mesoamerican dragon-god Quezalcoatl. Shots and smoking, yeah Tati has described her vocal hygiene as "self destructive."
You have to take a look at her doing teacher teacher...sometime. Jinger Minions....😂 her straight voice is one of the best in rock so when she uses the false voice its a lot more interesting and has more punch. Shes actually quite reserved and introspective at times.. she did a tea 🍵 time chat with Elizabeth Zarhoff... Worth a look up 😉.
Another female singer you'll probably really enjoy is Floor Jansen who currently sings with the symphonic metal band Nightwish. She has immense vocal flexibility. I really like her singing Disdain with her old band Revamp, but most people start with Ghost Love Score with Nightwish.
I have avoided her extreme distortion vocals up to now. Nice to hear she has some nice clean vocals as well. Floor Jansen is a great singer I usually prefer to this type of metal. I am surprised you have not listened to her as well.
When will you be reacting to Céline Dion’s performance at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony? Please my friends and I we’ve been waiting for ever to see your reaction to this song by Celine. Please! 🙏🏼
THANK YOU for watching! If you enjoy this video, please hit LIKE and SUBSCRIBE or buy us a coffee at buymeacoffee.com/throga
You can't mix reggae with metal.
Tatiana: "Hold my cat."
_lots of side-eye from Skindred_ 😁🤘
You can mix metal with anything.
😂
@@heffatheanimal2200 yessssssssss
Brilliant haha
Tatiana is a treasure and needs to protected at all costs!
Donate to the armed forces of Ukraine
Must listen PIT OF CONSCIOUSNESS from them... Simply espectacular
Especially the live in Kiev version
Jinjer's song Home Back is really touching and showcases her skills well.
To hear her sustain and top range you should check out "I speak astronomy". It hits different. But I can't wait for this to drop, that live take is nuts.

And the official video is pretty sweet as well.
@@jameswarner5809 agreed, it's a must. The lives don't have it and it's a shame.
The music video is very strong #shoutout to the great music video staff

For example, here on the channel was Ado, she is also an introvert.
She's performed with 9 bands since hearing Otep in 2002 or 03 at the age of 15, being inspired to learn growls, and to get serious about singing.
In an interview on Charasmatic I remember Tatiana is sometimes jealous of the other band members being able to go out and drink/hang out off stage.
But she pushes her vocal abilities so hard on stage that she has to rest and care for her instrument off stage
Guys I need more Jinjer from you. There is a long list of amazing songs you need to hear.

If you guys are interested, the Charismatic Voice, Elizabeth, did an interview with Tatiana.
13:01 _Bon Scott doing 2 lines and smashing half a bottle of Jack as he walks on stage_ 🤣🤣
Tati is a vocal beast! Her control is otherworldly. So sick! Love her!
I cannot wait for their new album! Their new song, Someone's Daughter, is incredible. I'll be seeing them October 2nd! Reinventing metal is what they do, and they do it well.

She was 15 when she started teaching herself how to do this, she is currently coming up to 38.
Great breakdown and analysis! I loved the awe and adoration you guys showed for this performance. Thank you!
Oh, it will be more extreme! Excellent.
my favorite Jinjer song is teacher teacher
The truth is, Tatiana describes herself as a introverted nerd. And IRL, it seems very much the case; she is cautious in her interviews, reads philosophy and enjoys visiting museums.
They dropped a new song/video about 2 weeks ago called “Someone’s Daughter”. First one off their upcoming album.

Greate performance! Great reaction!
I love a bunch of Jinjer songs but some are also not my style. I still listen in amazement.
I appreciate the technique and mechanics of it all.
I love Jinger. That said, you don't have to like a song/musical genre/artist, or whatever to still find something respectable about it.
2:40 - Their base tuning is drop A but this song is actually in the key of E. 😉

Not anymore. She quit and she warms up now.
Nice Reaction. You must try Nightwish with Floor Jansen.
Watch the Official Video and you might feel differently about her mixing in the Reggae.

Tatiana smokes drinks and is a massive introvert 😂😂 Ps if you didn't know she is self taught.
