Today Associate Pastor Randy Green leads us through Chapter 4 of the Book of Proverbs. Be sure to check back every day for this 31-day journey through all 31 Chapters! www.journeychri...
Thank you Pastor Randy for another great start to the day.. “Let your eyes look directly ahead and let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you” Proverbs 4:25 Jesus said that if you are fit for His kingdom, we must keep our eyes forward and not be distracted either side to side or backwards. Luke 9:62
Pastor Randy, I so appreciate the verse-by-verse approach in this daily study. Also the cross-references! Keep our eyes straight ahead, not looking back, like with blinders on a mule. My dad used to plow our garden with a mule and hand plow. Not just the mule but the farmer/gardener has to not look to anything but the target at the end of the row to keep it straight. (We kids did not do as well, so it takes practice and determination, just as in life.) No wonder it’s in the Bible, even from Jesus Himself in Luke 9:62.
Wonderful video. V25 stood out the most to me & I noted in my phone this "This verse stands out to me mainly because what the spirit spoke to me which is “stop looking at the past or referencing the past” keep looking forward. It goes back to my content of reaching forward to what’s ahead (Philippians 3:14) and Hebrews 12:1-2 fix my eyes on Jesus he is the pioneer & perfecter of faith. He is also the vine & i am the branch & through him I WILL bear much fruit."
Proverbs 4:23... Guard your heart above everything else, cause it determines the course of your life! (That sums up it for me.) Because the heart is where everything starts.
Today? Absolutely verse 23 with verse 24 a close second: “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.”
Thank you Pastor Randy for another great start to the day..
