Absolutely gorgeous Ginger looks here even better than in her youth. Her dress is beyond any words. Women of those years had exquisite taste and manners. Unfortunately it's all gone now. This video is a real gift. Thanks a lot.
It's Hollywood system, Training the actor..
it's got many good point. That have been 😊
their all life.
A handful of stars had all they needed was a commercial system around Hollywood, a good variety of now-defunct stores, rich and beautiful food, and so on. They hate the Hollywood system, but education on manners and other basic knowledge must have had a lifelong influence on them.
Great, thanks to a.hollywood we'll never have again..all gone. Too bad.
Yes , happened to watch an old movie with mcqeen , baby the rain must fall , with LEE REMICK as costar , what a beauty , classic look and great actress .
My friend, Ginger "had some work done". Of course she looked good. The best face and breasts that money could buy.
OMG - how beautiful in that periwinkle gown! What woman would not want to wear it! Glamorous Ginger Rogers who did fabulous dramas as well as musicals!
Ginger was 64 when she made this appearance. Truly classy and wonderful lady. My absolute favorite.
She aged beautifully. I mentioned that, in another thread, a few years back.
I believe, also Ann Frank’s favorite, which I find so very touching.
Me too! She is wonderful!
Mine too! She was the full package and then some!
Boys and Girls that's the definition of class and true Hollywood.....
Ginger Rogers was a class act.
This woman is the definition of "Hollywood Royalty"
People don't realize how hard these dancers work to perfect their craft. By the time you see the finished product on the big screen, hours and hours of stretching and practicing intricate dance moves nave been spent making it look so effortless. Much respect to all those magnificent dancers, like Ginger Rogers.
What a talented host with class! Miss that style today.
Quite honestly this performance brought tears to my eyes. I have no idea why. So classy and elegant, such a nuanced control yet rooted so deeply in real emotion. I have always been a huge fan of Ginger's and this only intensified it. Thanks for posting this!
I recommend reading her auto bio. Five hundred pages and every chapter fascinating!
I’ll always be glad that I was alive at the same time as these breathtakingly great people.
Lord Baltimore.....or Lord Calvert ?
@@helbitkelbit1790 Calvert. 😀
@@dwderp 😀 either way , the Crabs are jumpin
The jazzy segues by the band and bumper cards on the old Carson were so sophisticated and cozy feeling. Really miss that.
I just had the sweetest smile on my face, a rich emotional response the entire performance of Ginger singing…extra extra lovely ❤
The lovely and sexy GingerRogers dancing with JC and singing. What memories. So nice someone put this out, just one time.
A star in the true sense of the word. She is a STAR!
Way back when late night TV had class.
The genuine article! Such a warm and positive person.
I’ve never seen an interview with Ginger Rogers .Fabulous….Thank you ❤
Ginger is everything you look for in a performer, just everything. Great performance.
Pat Boone, the perfect gentleman when she comes back after dancing with Johnny, he stands up again
Elegant, classy, professional. So much better than today's entertainers
I agree with that !!
Gingers mother Lela, I understand, was an incredible woman, and responsible for bringing, not just Ginger, but Lucille Ball and other girls to RKO that helped build the studio.
That is a beautiful woman with great class. He was a great actress also.
Wow, I love her outfit....Such Grace, and her dancing with Freda Astaire was Heaven scent and mesmerizing. Linda
I saw Ginger Rogers on The London Stage many many years ago. I was just a kid. I was overawed. I have a signed photograph.
She is such a sweetheart! 💗💗💗
Such a talented and beautiful woman.
O my so neat to see this beautiful lady. Has so much talent and beauty.. do not see any more.. thank you for putting this clip on Johnny's show.
.
Simply gorgeous...Ginger Rogers one classy lady...thats what we call class and teue hollywood...
Classy and elegant lady. Sweet spoken.
She sings a Gershwin song that Astaire originally sang to her.
So beautiful singer ❤ and one and unique of most important actress of all time
During WW2 she invited GIs to her ranch. My uncle went and he said she was a class act. She spent time with everyone.
Ginger was a Doll. RIP
❤ Johhy Carson..
My aunt got me into a lot of old shows and movies growing up...
They really don't make these shows anymore 😢 how I miss the 70s and the 80s..
WISHING EVERYONE A WONDERFUL AND SAFE AND HEALTHY 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND 🥰😁🤗🎉🎉
I met Ginger Rogers in Palm Springs November 1992!
Her autobiography influenced me to study Christian Science.
My mother was a Christian Scientist as long as I can remember. She parted company with the Episcopal church, so she and my sister went to the CS church in my hometown, while my dad and I went to the Episcopal church. Anyway, you can best believe a copy of Roger's book is in my mom's personal library.
Just beautiful
Now, that is a star!!
I LOVE GINGER AND FRED FOREVER❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I've heard it said that Ginger had it even harder than Fred. She had to know all of the steps and then do them BACKWARDS!
In heels
At 64 yo and STILL gorgeous!!
…..one of my idols….she also danced in the movies with my favourite guy…” Fred Astaire”….💕💐
Love that outfit. Classy.🤗
PURE GLAMOUR ❤️❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A doll as a younger woman and a doll as a divine woman of a certain age! I’m mad for her.
Very talented
Gorgeous lady.
How can this be almost 50 years ago?
Ginger is oooozzzziiiinnnggg sexiness - looking great.
Ginger and Fred were dating for nine months before Ginger whent into the movies this song is all about how they met in Girl Crazy theatre production and went on dates and danced together till 3 in the morning regards Graham
I agree. The line, "The way you changed my life", was profoundly true. First, for the way their personal partnership in New York, then their professional partnership in Hollywood changed BOTH their lives for the better.
Class, what you really don't see today.
God Johnny was the best!!
Ginger Rogers! HOT!
This was aired two days after I was delivered from Macy's New York to a hospital in Kingston , Jamaica . Should not be showing my age really
Beauty, class & talent
Pure American class... unlike the decay brought by savages.
💯 In agreement, today’s society is in a total decline, sadly at the verge of collapse.
Get back in the kitchen Hop Sing !!.......chop-chop , Hoss is hungry
What I miss most is celebrities dressing up when appearing on tv . Now we get Cardi B or or celebs showing up as if they just rolled out of bed,
Ginger Rogers year 2023; work from above ^ µ
Yay Ginger!!! ❤😍🥰
She had some great stories to tell, I wish he had let her speak.
I'm glad this total class act isn't alive to see what her America has become...🧐
You are correct Robert...
Such a classy and talented lady, and a real hottie back in the day. 😉
Those were the days!
Same age as Lucille ball but didn't smoke and drink
they dont make stars like her anymore
Johnny Carson appariva come il tipico americano anni '50 della media borghesia, spocchioso e beone
Ginger and Astaire just too good.
She believes in the Bible. How refreshing
Can you imagine Ginger covering herself with a bunch of hideous tattoos ???
Think of how far we have sunk .
Ginger Rogers, the woman who danced mirror opposite on Fred Astaire on high heels.
Epic
Lovin all the content. I previously posted a long list of music guests I would love to see here. I just want to again mention one of those names- Wes Montgomery.
Afi legend . ❤ ginger
I wear my age with pride at 58 in August.
in big numbers on a t-shirt?
Ginger always reflected the classic glamorous star style of old Hollywood which unfortunately is long gone and replaced with over paid celebrity show offs who need to air all their dirty washing to stay in the public eye because of a lack of real talent.
Woman could dress.
Ginger was 65 here. Wow.
After Ginger's "six day" schtick, Johnny realized she was nuts, but handled it brilliantly, let it pass.
Ginger was besties with Lucille Ball.
Johnny was limber.
She was so talented, beyond any entertainers of today. But then she brings up the bible and I'm done.
Your ignorance is biblical.
@@michaelm6948I agree with that !!
what's the matter? do you love fake made-up skydaddy?@@michaelm6948
That's very Christian Science. God created the heavens and the earth in 6 days. God created us in 6 days but actually we were all in God's Mind; Spirit before creation through Jesus Christ. We already existed with God in Spirit in Christ.
Not a great singer but a perfect performer
She didn't complete the thought.
Too all the woke democrats and liberals out there , THIS IS A WOMAN.
WTF does that even mean?
@@CaryG6666 are you a woke lovin demrat the kind that has teachers teach gender choosing courses to kindergarten kids , the libs want to replace him and her or even he abd she , im poking fun and ridicule at that mentality by saying i admire the beauty of this woman
Bwahahahaha...
Thank you, Donald Trump Junior
Too bad she never had kids, would have interesting to see if they would have gone into show business.
Ginger Rogers was hard as nails but perpetuated this honey sweet public persona. She and her mother accused innocent people in Hollywood of being Communists. I love the Astaire/Rogers musicals but as a person she was vile.
