    A huge realization for me as I've been bingeing your videos has been the distinction between SOPs rather than documenting processes. I think I had been thinking of it all as the same -- and all of our templates are cumbersome. The hardest part for me is putting them in a place in Clickup where people can find things.

    Thanks for sharing, Layla. (quick question below)
    I think this is the only video I'm seeing on systems that goes through the Templates and Tech BEFORE getting into Teams. Super helpful!
    Quick question for you, Layla:
    After you define your template, how do you go about finding the appropriate tech to meet your template requirements?
    Do you just Google for tools or specific keywords?
    Please let me know what you think. I'd really appreciate your help!
    Thanks so much

    • @LaylaPomper
      @LaylaPomper  3 роки тому +2

    As I approach retirement (or get rid of jobs I don't want to do), I'm starting to list the jobs that I just do without thinking about it. The first list was for a breakdown of monthly bank and CC reconciliations that I do in Quickbooks. Very scary and now I know why I didn't want to think about it before. Fourteen for the store, three for another business, and five for my personal life. This doesn't count things like investment accounts that I only do yearly. The sad thing is that I can see that I probably only switch two of those accounts to a less frequent time frame with three more that will go away as I divest myself of the secondary business.

      @@LaylaPomper As you can imagine, it's a slow process as there are still all the day to day jobs that need to be done. I have my daughter now starting to do invoice scanning using Filecenter (wonderful program by the way) to get rid of some boxes of documents of an aunt with dementia. I started a new set of company books at the start of my last year end to get rid of 20 years of Quickbooks data and corruption, and am now working on setting up templates for various month end processes to make data entry easier for someone else. Lots of other minor things as well like assigning ordering of products to staff who can step into the role.
