I'm kinda stuck at steps four and five. Picking the most crucial goal for myself feels tricky. I'm not sure what I really wanna do, and figuring it out seems like a puzzle. Any chance you could help a bit? Got any suggestions or cool resources to navigate through this tough spot? Thanks a bunch!

I need a measure for the system, I make sure something makes it accountable (which is the hard part.), and compartmentalize it blocks of time. Unless its for a job, I don't try to make block of time a rigid schedule.

    1. Get a piece of paper & pen
    2. Where I currently am in my life
    3. Write my goals and dreams
    4. Circle one goal most important to me
    5. Why this goal is important to me
    6. 1-3-5 steps to achieve that goal
    7. Be specific about that goal what, when, where
    8. Turn steps into habits-> a. Start small b. Be consistent c. Be specific , when what d. Change environment e. Change company f. Make it enjoyable g. Change haves to gets h. Habit tracker I. Not aim for perfection j. Take action

I found the "I get to do this " resonating very well with me. As a Muslim, it is part of the faith and I believe, the very existence of ourselves is a Blessing from God. And each capabilities are part of the blessing, being able to see, being able to run, being able to talk, being able to hear is something I was taught to be grateful to God about. I forget to do that most of the time, but taking your advice of seeing my tasks as something I get to do, i.e blessed to do instead of I have to do, I see myself being grateful and enjoying the task itself.

Really cool to see how big of a impact Atomic Habits had on you at a such a young age. I am 37 and discovered the book a few years back. It changed my life for ever. I don’t even set goals anymore, I set habits with the end in mind. This can help anybody of any age and from all walks of life. I salut you from Germany.

My goal is to write a well written master thesis that is well explained and advanced.
The specific steps or enabling habits are, in so particular order:
    - Get myself to my subject department as early as I can, ideally 7.30AM which is when it opens. This is because the PhDs may be able to help me, or I can discuss things with them.
    - Eat healthy breakfast and lunch, such as eggs, vegetables, chicken, avoid oily/greasy foods in order to stay focused throughout the day. Opt from tea rather than coffee as coffee gives me palpitations.
    - Go to sleep at a decent time.
    - Go to a run a few times a week to get rid of stress jitters.
    - Ask PhDs for help every day or as often as possible
Honestly, I feel like systems need to be tweaked after initial drafts as you have no idea what you're getting yourself into. So I'll edit this in a few days.

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my UA-cam channel 9 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,743 subs and > 1k hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

@@serafinaa Whoever you are, I don't know you personally but I can say that you're one of the non-judgmental and open-minded people who is not fixated on tangible or external factors in order to learn from someone like me. Just because someone doesn't have a piece of paper as a credential, doesn't mean that person is not entitled to share personal experiences with the hope & intention to inspire others. Keep up with whatever it is that you're doing to improve mankind or improving your life even to a slight degree each day. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my UA-cam channel about holistic health. I literally could have died back when I was 14 years old due to major depression but here I am right now replying to you, a UA-camr, who's full of fulfillment and dedication to help others to be a better version of themselves. I ain't better than anyone else but my old self. That's all that really makes this UA-cam thing more meaningful and enjoyable. Thanks so much for your support! I am hoping that you can join me with this endless personal development journey! :)

@@SimonLiftsLife Thank you! I had so many fears even before I started and I still have fears. I am still an introvert but I what I really focus on is the value of the content and what I’m truly passionate about while helping others! I'm glad that I'm foolish enough to believe that I can actually start making money through my passions. I've never thought that I'd able to gain 1K subs faster. I can't imagine how many opportunities could have been wasted if I didn't have courage to go after them. That includes having this channel, being in a management role, having the people who actually care about me for who I am, freelance gigs, being an ambassador in a creative community and now I'm also planning on honing my public speaking skills through joining a toastmaster club and these all happened this year. It started with writing them all down on a piece of paper. A paper that serves as a reminder for me to go after what I want even through hard times. I'm not bragging about my accomplishments but simply hoping that this message can also inspire others to believe in themselves.

Great video. I use my own system to ensure I stay consistent with my workouts 5 days a week. I use an exercise journal to track all my routines, record all my reps, sets and weights. This ensures I continuously challenge myself once I hit certain exercise metrics (i.e. goals). And the results show 💪. Don't focus so much on the goal (like Sera said forget about it) and rather focus on the process, doing the work and gradually becoming the person you want to be.

This video hits close to home, as always moving the needle to making an IMPACT in this world! In my 20's I was diagnosised with a nonfatal, progressive, incurable disease..it's all good. A few things that I live daily: there's ALWAYS someone worse off than me. Live with a POSITIVE mindset. I went vegan years ago to maximize, hold onto what good health I still have. I push myself, the more I push the more recovery time needed..whether exercising, etc..do the best you can while you can..there's no guarantees in life. KEEP doing you Serafina✨💫💯🙌🔥

Hey Serafina, thanks for this video! I've been focusing on self development recently, and it's easy to get stuck with having goals and not know how to actually execute things (especially if you consume too much information at once, pretty overwhelming and happens way too easily lol). This video was honestly exactly what I needed to turn the ideas into concrete actions so I can make progress towards my goals, so thank you for making this! Also, I love your crucifix :)

I have been using systems since I'm 13 (I'm 36 now), and I actually started it when I tried writing down (with pen and paper) some personal questions that I was having and then writing what came to my mind. After a few minutes I got to some kind of conclusion, which I highlighted, set an intention or goal, and then took action on it.
With only that I started a new life and then after pairing it with Meditation it was a new beginning.
I highly recommend trying this idea of the video and if you find it very challenging to self-organize find help from someone that is organized.
    Best wishes :) 🗿🙏♥

As a teenager, I wasn't in the best shape, but I set a goal for myself to run a marathon. I started small, aiming to run to the next five telephone poles distance, then walking, and gradually increasing my distance each day. This dedication led me to wake up at 3:30 AM daily, running 20 to 25 miles. My perseverance paid off when I completed the Boston Marathon. Your approach to systems thinking resonates with me. I'm curious - what inspired you to embark on a journey of self-improvement rather than choosing the common path like most do of leisure and entertainment?

this is such a great story - thank you for sharing! to be honest it just started off with changing one aspect of my life and ever since that it's been a journey of improving other areas of my life. it's a mix of seeing my potential and wanting to reach that but also knowing we have one life and i want to be making the most out of it!

I think you got it :-) Things will get challenging sometimes, but that is part of the journey. What we call "happiness" which is fleeting pales in comparison to the joy of seeing your consistant progress even small towards your goals.@@serafinaa

    Thank you!
I'm teaching this to my high school students and applying it to my life as well.
I think that topics such as Establishing systems to achieve what you want in life and Personal finances should be taught in schools as part of the subjects, because they are more important to the lives of students than many of the topics we teach..
