I really wish RDR2 had more of the gameplay systems that the first had. They seemed to go all-in on the realism, but abandoned a lot of the fun in the process.
I completely agree with this statement, while the first game's gameplay was very glitchy it was way more fun. RDR2 is a great game but the gameplay is SO medicore that most of my enjoyments of that game came from it's scripted encounters and story.
I have to disagree. When I started RDR2 I looked back at RDR1 with nostalgia eyes. Now that I played RDR1 recently and while it's still a lot of fun it RDR2 is a way better game. The eagle eye, 1st person, real life feeling horses, the survival element if you choose to, no fast travel (from camp patched in later) except for trains and stage coaches, the required 3 star pelt hunting difficulty, and so on. Only thing that I miss from RDR1 is being able to have more horses instead of just 4, the duels, and more bounty hunting. But that's my opinion.
@@zensoredparagonbytes3985 You seem to be missing the point, it's not about which is the better game but he's saying that the first had some fun gameplay mechanics that would allow the game to be enjoyable even when glitchy.
