    What’s cool is that they got John Marstons Voice Actor to come back for RD2, even tho he gave up acting years before

      @johnnybensonitis7853 3 роки тому +86

      It's crazy just how perfect his voice is for Marston. I watched the actors in RDR2 talking in various videos here on YT, and Rob Wiethoff was the only one who sounded exactly like he did in the game. It was so fuckin' wild when I first heard that voice come from the man himself! He was born for that role, and thank goodness he accepted the offer to do it because he absolutely crushed it. Whoever hires the voice acting talent at Rockstar is brilliant.

    I feel like the completionist status should exclude online modes, with the exception for online only games. It’s absolutely ludicrous to even bother with the online content in some of these games.

    • @johnnybensonitis7853
      @johnnybensonitis7853 3 роки тому +50

      I couldn't agree more. It feels like a cheap way to bait completionists, no doubt hoping they will play online and get hooked. I used to like getting all achievements in games, but now I'm satisfied to get as many as I possibly can. The good thing is that a lot of games have a 100% completion checklist within the single player portion that can be attained without getting all achievements/trophies. I know the Tomb Raider reboot series was like that as well most Rockstar games. Still, even those can be pretty damn tough to get.

      I completely agree with this statement, while the first game's gameplay was very glitchy it was way more fun. RDR2 is a great game but the gameplay is SO medicore that most of my enjoyments of that game came from it's scripted encounters and story.

    • @zensoredparagonbytes3985
      @zensoredparagonbytes3985 3 роки тому +6

      I have to disagree. When I started RDR2 I looked back at RDR1 with nostalgia eyes. Now that I played RDR1 recently and while it's still a lot of fun it RDR2 is a way better game. The eagle eye, 1st person, real life feeling horses, the survival element if you choose to, no fast travel (from camp patched in later) except for trains and stage coaches, the required 3 star pelt hunting difficulty, and so on.
      Only thing that I miss from RDR1 is being able to have more horses instead of just 4, the duels, and more bounty hunting.
      But that's my opinion.

    • @themadtitan7603
      @themadtitan7603 3 роки тому +5

      @@zensoredparagonbytes3985 You seem to be missing the point, it's not about which is the better game but he's saying that the first had some fun gameplay mechanics that would allow the game to be enjoyable even when glitchy. Unlike RDR2, which went all in on the realism (again doesn't make it worse) which makes less enjoyable to play, especially when it has glitches. Still good gameplay, just not as much PURE FUN.

    • @zensoredparagonbytes3985
      @zensoredparagonbytes3985 3 роки тому +7

      @@themadtitan7603 Fun parts depends on the person. There are people who enjoy real time strategy games. I can not enjoy those games. Millions play CoD, or Apex Legends, or any online FPS shooter, and that's only shooting other people. You do nothing else than shooting people. I suppose they have fun with it but no there's enjoyment in that for me.
      I played a little bit of RDR1 a few weeks back and I stand my by point. It felt too gamey, too basic, compared to RDR2 which feels evolved, more mature. Its way more immersive now because I can play it in 1st person. Because of that and it's more realistic I can enjoy more elements of the world. The fishing, the hunting, exploring into unknown territory without knowing if I'll be attacked by bears, cougar, wolves, rival gangs while I'm searching for secrets, resources, and collectables.
      I just can role play more as a cowboy and frontiersman.
      I don't use fast travel except for trains and stage coaches. That means I want to skip as little as possible of the world as opposed to RDR1 where I used fast travel a lot more. There are probably people who spam that feature more because they want to get as fast as possible to their next objective instead of savouring the journey through world.
      You see, some enjoy things in a certain way, others in another fashion. Its all relative and depends on the person.

    I remember I was going back home to see the family for the first time. I was so excited to be reunited. The music was playing, and I was enjoying the environment. Suddenly, a bear runs out of the trees and takes out my horse and me. My most vivid memory of the game.

    The only Rockstar game I've ever loved through and through. There was nothing quite like the experience of sipping or shooting whiskey, putting on some folk music, and playing a couple hours of Red Dead. That said, I stopped completing side quests and completing achievements when I was satisfied. I knew the grind would be hell.
