Many thanks for this great video 👍 Was it a new or used chrono? I’ve tried to do thé same installation on my 958, but the chrono isn’t awake… no menu on my PCM & cluster… What should I do 🤔
@@Wantobe123 the clock turns off when the cars off, both hands go to the 12 position, when you turn the car on all the hands do about 2 full rotations.
Hi I have a 2019 Macan and was hoping to do the same thing, was your fitted for a clock? the dealership tell me mine doesnt have the loom required so they cant fit it, was this the same for yours?
@@rodneymorland4586 i did mine in a cayenne, I have a 2015 macan it came with the clock, if I’m not mistaken the macan and cayenne have the same radio so it should be similar to how I did it in the video. I honestly can’t 100% be certain though
Your DIY video is very informative and appears to be a nice upgrade for vehicles without this option. While soldering appears to be a viable solution, in a typical vehicle environment the heat/cold and vibration often leads to clacks and failure. I'm not an automotive connector expert by any means, but I believe there are some important concepts to a good solder joint. It's best to have a mechanical (ie twisted wire) connection before soldering. There are a ton of videos on this subject like this one: ua-cam.com/video/6EiIDNEiB_U/v-deo.html
Hi! Would you know which wire would be 12 Volts Ignition/Accessory in the door panel of the cayenne 958? Been installing ambient lights and I can’t find a ignition on wire?
@@geekytechie6540 the 958 should have blank plugs on the door harness already for ambient lights. If not just use a multimeter set on DC bolts and connect it to positive and ground with ign on and see, I’d assume the window power is switched ignition and the speaker
It looks so much better now
Thank you dude you are awesome! Is yours a 2018 model?? Mine is a 2014 hybrid S. But a clock replacement.
It’s a 2011

Double check the integrity of the connections on the wiring
Can I just connect three strands? Please tell me what color to connect
Hello
Does the clock run while the key is out?
Or does it do a full reset when turning on the car?

@@regularmechanic4196 thanks. Just like factory installed.

I had to add my own loom into the radio harness it was not originally fitted for a clock
@@regularmechanic4196 did you get that from a dealer

I agree, soldering inside the cabin of the vehicle is usually safe, soldering in the engine bay is a no go
