    Using trim like that is very nice to start the engine and cut it. Throttle cut is also a option if you have it on the transmitter.

    Very talented young man indeed......I have saved all the lessons needed to learn Flying a Heli by him Freddy the great........! I own a vintage Kalt 50 since 1985 but was unable to fly due to poor knowledge for Heli flying in the country......Recently I serviced the my Heli and replaced all problem parts , Radio system and the OS 50 Engine....Will try to do a slow start on the machine and see if I could handle it......!

    05Apr2019. Thanks for your time an thoughts n suggestions flying. I sure wish I knew someone like you. 15 yrs ago I bought a RC helio n supplies n never flown it yet. 5k invested, but this video of yours got me pumped.
    I just bought my first M2P drone in hopes it'll get me orientated flying. I know a helio is a completely different outfit. I want to fly it before I die, which I've had manyyy close calls in my life. What direction did you use to start that rig? I know I am a stupid pilgrim for sure. Thanks again young man, just wished you were in my town. Yet you're most likely along ways. Ty

    Is there a formula I can use to determine how long airtime I have before my fuel runs out. I'm sure there are many different sizes for fuel tanks and fuel mixtures on the market. But for a basic air time, what would be safe to say? Oh and thanks for a great video.

    • @33forsaken
      @33forsaken  3 роки тому +1

      Best thing to do is tune the motor first and select your head speeds. Once done top off a full tank and what I do is set my timer for.... lets say 5 minutes. Most radios will start a count up sequence once the timer has expired. So lets say you start to lean out (due to low or now fuel). land the Heli and kill the motor asap and observe your timer. Based on how you fly lets say your times says +4 minutes. You now know you have a total of 9 mins before leaning out the motor. I usually then back that off by about 30seconds to 1 full minute. Now re full the Heli and go fly, once your timer sounds off get that bad boy on the ground with enough fuel left and ready for the next flight :)

    I did go to some club meetings in Wyoming yrs ago. An all they did was bad mouthing everyone that wasn't there. The young kid which agreed to mentor me was a dead beat, n I later heard he bad mouthed me how I had all the tools n gear he's only dreamed of flying 25yrs.
    He would leave messages on my phone asking if I wanted to sell my gear. I called him back n told em I'd run my gear over with my bobcat before I'd ever sell him the gear.
    3 meetings was enough for me, I'd thought I was around a bunch of women on PMS than grown men. Really sad in my eyes, so I quit the club n got my money back. I stood there n told em all what a pitiful bunch assholes they were gossiping about others behind there backs.
    I wish I had a picture of their faces when I told them that. Ok, I feel a whole lot better now getting that off my chest. 🤪🤮🐴 Thanks for reading n the awesome video.

    Hi freddy, great video. I just wanted to know what swash mix TO use in nitro, is it 90.or variable pitch. In HIROBO. And thunder tiger .

    • @33forsaken
      @33forsaken  3 роки тому +1

      Hey buddy so the swash mix is going to vary per model for sure. Now a days if your using a FBL system your radio has the swash mix disabled and its done in the FBL system. If you are using and older setup like a fly bar lets say, then you will usually have three servo 120 deg on most models. as far as the swash mix values if they apply, you have to get your pitch gauge on and adjust them according to what deg you want to fly at.

    Hello Freddy, I am just getting started in the hobby, do you know why the Engine Starter shaft won't turn counter-clockwise? Mine seems to only spin freely clockwise. Thanks

    • @33forsaken
      @33forsaken  3 роки тому

      yes because you are engaging the one way bearing in the starter mount. Basically you spin the starter CCW to turn the motor and start it. Its the same concept as the one way gear the drives the Heli.

  • @michaelfrandsen5200

    Man, if you build that Chopper from scratch for your friend, he is lucky. It's so nice. I wish I could find some in my Country there would build me one, well-paid ofc. But it will maybe be more realistic to get a used, but I really like to break it in myself. A Nitro is some I looked at for over 20 years ago on a Sports-Channel, and I got caught up then and there, it just looked SO amazing. But at that time no good RC was cheap. It was very expensive and then suddenly priced dropped like over 60%. Nice video. I envy your friend, haha

    Freddy,I just installed an R9D receiver, using an AT9 transmitter. I notice now that my throttle servo seems to jump at about 75% throttle stick. I checked the throttle curve and its a strait line. Do you have any suggestions?

    • @33forsaken
      @33forsaken  8 років тому

      +jaylatona1 i would need a little more details if possible. it could be any thing from a servo motor glitch, to a programming error or binding error. possible even a FBL system issue. maybe a voltage draw or brown out. what is your full setup

      Freddy Cordova Hi Freddy, I have purchased a Hirobo Shuttle Plus with a Futaba T9CP controller and I have been following your videos to pick up some hints and tips. So far I have been learning the basics on a PC sim. My problem is when I switch my Hirobo on and the heli should go through its systems check the movements are not smooth, as in one of your vids, my heli moves very quickly and jerky and doesn't settle down, my controller has no input at all. The batteries are fully charged and all the electrics are clean. Can you give me any clues as to what I need to check / test. I have asked some local model shops, but, I think because it's an older model they don't want to know or help. Any help or advice will be appreciated. Regards Dave from N Ireland.....

    thats a spectrum system they like to lose the bind at any point doesnt seem to be any ryhm or reason. id suggest a futaba system they are bullet proof. my stepdad hates spectrum because there unreliable. im a girl and he has been teaching me with zero problems, he has a spectrum system he brings with him to show me or anyone else who is present ho every single time the spectrum radios will lose and at least once a day it loses the bind, even though he doesnt have it mounted into anything it proves a point when every time we go fly the futaba is trouble free yet the spectrum at least once loses bind and thats all it takes to destroy a expensive rc heli like a SAB Kraken 700
