There are a lot of people that of course always want a deal, then the ones that contact and aren’t really going to spend. Good video.

I am not bothered by the lower offers. I would do the same. I just like being in a spot where I can decline and move on. Thanks for sharing.

Makes sense. Great insight. I do a lot of buying in lots or buying singles from various sites that has combine shipping. So for example if I buy 30 cards from the same buyer with combine shipping it works out cheaper for me. Say I get all the cards for with a net total of 90 dollars. Averages to 3 dollars per card. Highest I paid was maybe 10 and lowest I paid for a single card was 1. If I can make 1-2 on a bunch of cards I will be at break even quick enough. If I lose a buck on the 10 dollar card it won’t be a big deal. So when I’m selling cards I don’t always look at the per card price that I need to make back but how it effects the overall lot. The more liquid the card the more profit you can usually make. The illiquid cards are the one you may lose on. Or hold for future. Even if I grade a bunch of the cards. I add the cost to the lot. This way the one 7 or 8 grade that you get from the PSA grader that just got divorced isn’t going to wreck you. Yes it stings but you won’t go broke.

Yes agreed we do the same with the bulk buys. So your average is 3 a card plus what ever your grading cost. Then work back the total off the top with raw sales. Big advantage if you can pay for some grading as well with the raw card sales. Gets that per card number even lower. Thanks for the valuable insight. Much appreciated.

I agree with most with what you are saying but one area my opinion differs is the idea of "hold your ground" -- absolutely do it if its an item where find the right buyer may take time but there is some value in sale velocity. Most important is freeing up capital to pursue a better avenue even if at a small lost or break even. I think that makes more sense with the "hype" factor of card. Don't be left holding the bag when the post-hype crash to new floor inevitably hits every player.

That is a great point. Don’t want to miss to much of the hype. If the card is beginning to sit and the market for the card is going down then of course unload and move on. Appreciate you taking time to share with us.
