@Chris Emery The reason we vote Tory is because the current changes don’t affect us that much. Or rather we feel that those changes aren’t big enough rocks yet, perhaps they are more merely pebbles. And it’s not just people with money who feel like that, but there are many different circumstances. But perhaps these pebbles will turn to rocks at some point and then voters will change their attitudes. I would imagine those affected by the cost of living will certainly avoid Tory in the near future, but let’s not forget that there are still many people, people on minimum wage, working 40-60 hours a week whilst probably holding down second jobs who aren’t feeling much of a pinch at all. They might have savings for rainy days such as these. Those who are blasé and spend all their earnings are probably more likely feeling the stretch. Those who enjoyed too many luxuries before the world went crazy and didn’t think too far ahead. But at the end of the day, opinions vary.

Prportional Representation is the one which changes EVERYTHING - because it goes from 'opposition politics - to - 'co-operation politics'. With PR, parties have to always do coalitions to form a government or to get anything done. This means they have to find ways to co-operate instead of shouting and acting like school kids in Parliament - and it also means that, only those things the majority of VOTERS want, get passed through into Acts of Parliament. Although a close second to PR would be to ban 'lobbying' (better known as 'legalised' corruption - which was made 'legal' by the 'lawmakers' who benefit from that corruption of governance). Third on my list would be ban MPs from ever working for or getting any payments or benefits from the corporations they support during their time in office. (e.g. will Boris now get a cushy pay-off from the nuclear industry? Will Liz Truss benefit in any way from the fracking industry?)

We think the 'price' of everything is going UP - when in reality it is the 'value' of our currency which is going down. That currency printing was a response to their stupid covid policies of putting the entire nation under house arrest. It's all down to politicians trying to 'solve' problems which they themselves created... and then their solutions only create worse problems. The less politicians can do - the better imo... and if they can only do what a MAJORITY agree on - and that majority was elected proportionally so that it represents a majority of the voters - then GOOD! The rest which they can't agree on, can wait until they can agree - or simply never get done. If they cling on to opposition politics - stagnation will follow. What is needed is a total reform of the money system and get rid of the fiat currency system, get rid of debt based money. Get control of money away from the bankers and put it back in the control of government where it should be. Also make usury illegal. The fact that the banks can print money out of thin air and charge money on it is evil. As long as that continues you will always have inflation, boom and bust. All part of the system and is unavoidable. The banks don't really care if people can pay back a loan or credit card. Just so long as you pay every month. After all you can be paying the minimum on a credit card for 20 years and they are laughing all the way to the bank as you probably given the creditor tens of thousands of pounds already on a thousand pounds worth of debt. They don't care if you default. They got insurance for that and they do claim it if you do default and then sell that debt to a collection agency for pennies in the pound. Also if the Government caps the price of energy, then that will cost a fortune, who do you think pays for that? They will add it to the National debt, which will devalue the pound which will lead to more inflation. The West is bankrupt, doesn’t matter who is in power. Our system is broken, we need a constitutional republic, decentralised power and sound money
Look on the bright side! We are giving millions of pounds to the Ukraine, also helping refugees stay here in the UK at a cost of six million a day, building more housing, schools too, there's a lot to be grateful for.
Instead of trusting government to confiscate and then squander our own money I wish we could find a way to replace all taxes on income with a high tax on sales of non-essential items that only the well off can afford, and replace compulsory NI deductions with optional health insurance and pensions that can be searched up on price comparison websites alongside the NHS and state pension options, the way we already do for car insurance, home insurance, etc. If the state offering is a good deal they'll still get funding, if not the funding goes to better providers forcing the state to provide better services. Ditto the BBC License Fee.. just make it one of many optional subscriptions for those who still want to watch it. The bottom line is government cannot be trusted to stop confiscating more and more money or to spend it wisely after they do, and the only way to properly defund them is to end their ability to levy any compulsory taxes on wages or on essential things like energy that people need to survive.
Living standards are truly in free fall in the UK. Morale is at an all time low, or so it seems. These career politicians have been serving themselves & their wealthy paymasters for too long. Enough is enough.

@@davidwarnes5158 Good! The less they can do - the less damage they can do.
All of this cost of living crisis was caused by politicians... because printing currency out of thin air is what creates inflation - it de-values the currency.
OR... they can learn to do co-operation politics - and get stuff done which a majority of the VOTERS actually voted for.

Just so long as you pay every month. scousers are always so impressive in these kind of videos, i think it must be partly due to the fact that the city reads much less murdoch media

*DIFFERENT CHEEK, SAME ARSE* That right there, thank you!, thats all that needs to be said.
All good points, the lady from Sefton Council just about summed up my thoughts.
Did she dye her hair red for a bet ?
@@jjefferyworboys8138 lol, if she is that concerned why doesn't she use her home as stay a night over to keep warm on a rotor.
Brilliant interviews told as it is, we need more of this in the Uk instead of those so called 'journalists' who continually interrupt people and won't let them finish a sentence. Plus they wouldn't dream of interviewing the everyday public who will give it to them straight.
She'll be out before Xmas when the people come together rise up and say enough is enough.
@Jackfrost Peaceful protest is not enough
I think Truss will go with the idea of the energy companies creating debt that people will have to pay back. That means people will be weighed down by crippling debt for the rest of their lives just to keep warm.
Its the cart leading the horse, the PM should be telling the energy companys how they operate, not the other way around.
That's exactly what she is going to do, people need to take a stand now.
She ought to go with ceasing the current Ofgem increase and return it to £1,700 and follow the Labour plan. I would add also to receive this Government money the energy companies should provide the Government with shares. Any future profits would at least give the taxpayer a long term mini-return on our investment. She won’t do it though - any of it. Certainly not in the short term…
Nothing wrong with creating a lifetime of debt.
They got away with it with students.
£130. Billion check on its way to the energy companies and we all will foot that bill for the next 20 years. She going to kick it into the long grass and we still have to pay.

Absolutely right. Leave the Irish scousers to rot and look after our own
First guy, what a lovely human being 💚
The reason they wont privatise utilities and transport is because the Government is a major stakeholder in these organisations.
12 years of Tory rule and fair to say they've absolutely tanked....
Will people go back to horse and cart transport, when they force us not to own a car. I wonder how many politicians up in the commons, have thought about the sheer amount of public transport, that will be needed by us the public, to go and earn a living, to shop, to rush to hosptal, I doubt there will ever be enough.
If we don't have a labour government next election I'm really worried
I'm really worried about the cost of living everything is going up so fast Im disabled and can't afford any half decent standard of life and I know it's going to get worse and sadly there's people who are worse off than me this country is a disgrace
I live in France, my electric bill went from 1500€ per month to 2500€ per year last year.
This year I have just been informed, it will be 4750€
That is not 4%.
First guy is really clever. Cool guy

How on earth did truss get in to power probably by corruption
🤣🤣🤣 It was already doomed, when the 2 best choice were " Rishi or truss.
it was WEF day A world government is in place- join the dots ! 👿👁
I love the sound of this
Living standards are truly in free fall in the UK. Morale is at an all time low, or so it seems. These career politicians have been serving themselves & their wealthy paymasters for too long. Enough is enough.

The people of Liverpool say it as it is... Murdoch influenced media isn't working on the people of Liverpool
I’m only 31 and in Scotland. Never seen prices keep going up like this in my life
Great stuff spot on! Spread the word let’s keep this movement going before they silence us.
They think Labour are going to better. I remember getting a pay cut under Gordon Brown who abolished the 10p tax rate for the lowest paid workers. Then there was Blair’s PPI (Public Private Partnership) which virtually handed over the NHS to the private sector. Don’t see any solutions offered from this lot? I’d like to know where all the money would come from to get back our utilities from foreign owners and shareholders who seem to have more power than elected governments.
So because Brown and Blair where bellends years ago, we just let the tories crush the country with crippling utility charges today? Ffs.
Labour has a long way to go before I'd personally recognise them as a party of the people. I also despised Blair and still do, but letting these absolute useless, unfit for purpose excuses of tory politicians drag us into unfathomable depths of human despair, without recourse, should be everyone's first red flag.
That's everyone with an ounce of humanity of course.
We dont live in america. We dont have to compensate anyone if we nationalise something
All the issues we have now are because of left wing econmics and since labour are further left it would be even worse
My people know what's up!
Our city deserves independence
The real issue in my opinion is that there is no opposition to this sham of a government and that's sad, the first guy said it all.
