Relocate the brake pedal right next to the gas pedal and mount the master cylinder behind the brake pedal instead of in front of it cause it’s gonna be really hard to operate the naskart with the brake pedal right next to the clutch
You could have gotten a new brake barrel for the clutch cable. Also you need a fuel pressure regulator if your going to use any size fuel pump with carbs
You should try to mount your pedals behind the steering rack, you’ll have more leg room and more space to mount your brake pedal, you might have to adjust your seat forward and shorten your steering shaft but I think it’ll be better

If that happens to a cable again.whilst wating for a new cable take a prong out of a household plug and thread the wire through the hole and tighten the screw up on the plug brass part they work just like them nipples that snapped off your cable. good build youve nearly done it 👍good stuff lad

As far as fuel pumps go, gravity fed motorcycle carbs don't like electric fuel pumps. For a fuel you might want to try a GM 1997 or 1998 6.5 turbo diesel pump, it only puts out 5 to 6 PSI which is good for your carbs. You should be able to find them at your local parts store and hook it to the ignition switch, good luck.
You need to make a heavy duty frame for that mini caliper if you plan on drifting, It will yank that caliper off that bracket if you hit it with any speed. That engine has alot more torque then ur 5 horse motor you had.
I like your vids man. Keep up the good work! Just so you know Lincoln Electric wire from Home Depot is actually a little bit cheaper than vulcan harbor freight wire(I was shocked by this) and it is much better stuff. Just a note for the future. I hear that Hobart wire is really the best. You can get it on amazon but I haven't actually tried using it yet.
You can easily repair the clutch link with welding an 5mm nut on it and flattening it with hammer before welding. But if you don't have enough knowledge you don't know if it's possible. I'm not hating anyone, actually I am a mechanic who knows all the things and if I'm seeing when someone is struggling with simple stuff for me I'm just a little irritated. If you want to have skill you need to work hard on it. I've got my first motorbike when i was 9 and I was doing evry kind of repair on it, changing the head gasket, fixing the ignition etc. Now when I'm 19 I'm doing works like welding (I have a stick welder which is MUCH harder to use) or making some things from steel designing them first with ease. Just 10 years spent between steel, bolts and engines :D but I don't regret.
You want a low pressure fuel pump like maybe 3 psi but with high volume so that's "high volume low pressure" AND what happened to "I'm going to take my time and do it right"?
Please make a firewall, this thing is going to be insane so if your head is right in front of that motor and it sets fire your screws, also lowers the heat in the cabin a little bit
please get a funural Insurance..i did motorbike building and racing for over 20 years, and currently building and racing small racing cars, with maximum 2 cilinder 450cc engines, thats already crazy fast with a lightweight frame, concidering your gearratio, and the amount of torque, this WILL be a disaster, no offence, do like the effort, but this is crazy dangerous, 750cc engine, hardly any brakes, lousy engine mounts, should have tried a 125cc engine first..

Miggs do what i said a few times , shift leaver on the left , make it more beefy , a thicker tube with a clutch leaver attached, make it so its on a piviot , use that thinner shift bar you have to make the link from the thick stick shift to the gear shifter on teh engine. DO NOT try to squeeze a clutch into that tiny foot well , its TO DANGEROUS !!! slow down its not a race to get a first run , get the engine mounted fully , get the downpipes fitted , get the fuel tank mounted and the brakes fitted, that little caliper is NOT going to last its a minibike calpier ist not going to handle the heat produced by that brake rotor at highspeed and that tiny brake pad is just going to vanish , remember this machine can nodoubt push upward 80mph and its weighing a good 400+kg , use the brake calipers from the bike and mount those with the brake res , mount the original airbox , replace those spark plugs for brand new . route the wire harness and sheath it where its near the engine, add a chain deflector where the main chain sprocket is on the engine , so if it snaps its not going to rake out a huge hole in the engine casing.
Put the cable on the other side of the motor don't bind it up use the Handel off the motor cycle drill two holes one for the mount one for the linkage squeeze handle to engage the clutch and push to shift
turn the pedals upside down and mount from the cross bar as to clutch and brake i had thought of one pedal and break eases off the clutch starts to engage adding power that or look on ebay or wish for the hyrdrolic clutch conversion kit as a fix to the cable drill a hole in a bolt and clamp to pedal like bicycle brakes are even a screw terminal clock will work had to do this many a time to get a bike home when clutch cable has snapped at barrel connector
Hey if I were you I’d relocate the brake or the clutch to the steering wheel. Get a bicycle brake lever and mount it on the wheel. Give yourself some more room on that floor.
I hope you show this machine the respect it deserves once running bro, also speed is a hateful bitch when not respected. May god bless your soul Migs. Great build though I am dyeing tp build something similar.
Nice job so far , looken good but i think if you watch a few videos on how to weld with a flux core mig welder , you could make better welds , your welds look like bubble gum full of rocks , not sure they will hold with the HP that motor has . Still like what your doing just would hate to see you welding it back together every ride ......
The clutch cable is too fine it needs to be heavier than that ,if you get another one the same it will break too ,have a look at the original then order one that size but longer . You also need a pivot point on that gear shift arm otherwise it's going to fracture . See when you get it going in about two weeks time.
The fuel pump won’t work. The float valves will not hold the pressure. Need to have the pump run a lot slower with a return line. Suggest running a vaccum driven fuel pump.
make a fuel return line so you dont overflow ur carbs the whole time?

When you run into a stop how are you goin to clutch and brake at the same time with one leg? Change it to where the gas pedal is
Before you mess up you need to put your brake pedal next to your gas pedal
Relocate the brake pedal right next to the gas pedal and mount the master cylinder behind the brake pedal instead of in front of it cause it’s gonna be really hard to operate the naskart with the brake pedal right next to the clutch
Vary good idea and good point he would have to shift to neutral before using the brakes
Agreed there’s a reason gas brake clutch set ups are the way they are check out cars and cameras new kart
Was thinking the same, the clutch need to be a lever or on the gas pedal side. otherwise you cant operate both at same time.
Been waiting for this video, keep up the great work.
You could have gotten a new brake barrel for the clutch cable. Also you need a fuel pressure regulator if your going to use any size fuel pump with carbs
You needa smaller fuel pump, get one that is like 4psi or 5, that huge one will just flood the carbs
Unless he adds a return line

Probably should use a electric pulse pump with 5 psi or down to 2 psi
A pulse pump should work fine if not 2 will do
The only way to learn is to screw it up and fix it the best you can and repeatkeep it up man this thing's going to be a freaking monster
how is the body of the half scale nascart going to fit on the kart when the engine is so big
I think you should reinforce that jackshaft a little more I feel once you give it a little gas it's just going to move and pop off those chains

No fuel pump mount your fuel cell up high and let gravity work as the fuel pump

I really hope he put a live axle on it because if it one wheel peel and he pins it he’s gonna spin out

You should get in contact with cars and cameras they are building a go kart with the same motor
If it's gonna run anything like cross kart that Jack shaft is NOT gonna hold he needs to start asking before he does stuff 😂

pump will over power the fuel shut off valve getting a fuel pressure regulator or pressure switch to knock the pump off when at capacity be best
