I've seen so many machines just sitting derelict at dealers. Lined up ready for action, but nobody uses them there. It's a shame...like a machine graveyard. Wonderful Marty could 'save' this one and put it to use! 😉
With the millions of worldwide viewers that your channel attracts…I can’t imagine that ALL the equipment companies aren’t fighting each other for the right to send you free equipment.
Hey Marty I’m a plant fitter in the uk have worked on most brands of machines big and small and I can hands down say that Takeuchi is the best mini ex on the market to my knowledge the build quality is unmatched and part prices are reasonable all the operators seem to much prefur them to other machine brands too. When you get 5 minutes take all the small screws out from the dash panels and controll lever grips and grease them as they can be a pain to get out 5 years down the line on the canopy models and keep the shaft that all the controll linkages work though under the floor clean and well lubed as the small bearings on the end can seize and give you sticky pedals after a few years also change the final drive oils every 500h not every 1000 especially of your doing a lot of tracking but there an amazing machine I will be very surprised if you ever need the warranty but like you say it’s nice to have happy digging !
I first watched your video when you converted a dead washing machine into a lifetime supply of free electricity and I hope that your YT work has helped you buy the new excavator - you deserve it !
Must be a welcome change to operate a machine with no slack or slop in the bushings! We all love your stable of well-used iron, but you deserve this - just slip it on like a pair of trainers and go! Outstanding brand, as well!
Nice score Marty. The first thing I noticed was the swivel bucket and expect it will be a godsend for the seemingly endless track maintenance work you have on your hands. Looking forward to seeing the track work up to the turbine. Thanks for sharing and cheers from across the ditch.
Nice piece of equipment Marty, I have always thought that you needed a better access to your turbines. That will be an interesting video, thanks for sharing.
It's weird seeing you drive something new, but you deserve it. I never grow tired of your videos, Marty. Your knowledge of machinery, easy going nature and love for your family makes for great content. You are a true gentleman, and I salute you.
Mine was the Abandoned Excavator, my jaw hit the floor as soon as he got that excavator up and running. I subscribed immediately and have watched him ever since, has not disappointed me with any of his videos. He deservers all praise 😊😊
Nice machine Marty, now all it needs is a thumb. I love the viteos on rescuing old equipment . cant believe some of the things you go through to retrieve equipment. but at the end the effort was well deserving. take care Brother
I'm fairly new to diggers and hired one for the first time last week to dig some trenches and some tidy up work at home. Super easy machine to learn on and very versatile. Money well spent mate.
Well done Marty you deserve something new for a change. Not that we don’t enjoy you repairing old things it’s just nice to have something new for once…John
My goodness! I was so surprised to see a machine with fresh paint. Well good luck with the new machine Marty...I'll bet you don't hear that phrase often. You have certainly earned a new machine by saving and refurbishing so many "Old girls" that would have sat and rusted away to nothing. Great video thumbs up.
Wow, a new machine. Usually see you dragging home some abandoned equipment and reviving them. Quite a departure from your norm. Congrats on your NEW purchase, nice one!
The thing I find the most hilarious/intriguing is watching your equipment, vs your utes on the tracks... I would question taking my F-350 single rear up these trails... A huge part of why I watch! Glad youtube and life.are treating you this well!, but I prefer "pre emissions" everything personally.
Nice machine. Something I have never figured out is why the seat and controls don't have a cover to put on them, yes I know they are made for outside but it seems that would protect the electronics at least.
Fantastic little machines those. Great to see wrapper fresh on the channel and that the channel is doing so well that your able to get stuff like this. 👏❤️
The grading Bucket on the taco suits this job well ,quite a nice new piece of equipment you deserve it and I know it will serve you well best of luck with
Appear at our family cabin we bought secondhand guard rail that you see on the side of the road. Can you lay that down on the track from the ditch side and let it dump off the hill works really well and stays clean instead of culvert
We used this model excavator at the Council works - awesome little machines, especially with the tilt bucket. They do like to throw their tracks once they get a bit worn though.
I would of thought you found an old mini-ex in a forest abandoned and you get it running like a Dream. Bring it home and use it. But for all the old equipment you get up and running , as well as put back to work. You deserve this brand new mini excavator. I am surprised Takeuchi has not seen your channel and given it to you for free. 😂
I hired one of these a couple of years ago, and got the auger with it to do some shed pile holes. The guy showed me somewhere on the software program settings how to slow down the oil feed to the 3rd service. That may be the case with this model too.
Oh so Bloody Jeolous that you finally treated yourself to a new work toy! Marty T gonna with the contest, "boys with the most toys" lol, wonderful to see you just have to start it, jump into cab and away you go playing. Congrats Mr.T, do you make "House Calls??"" lol .
This will definitely be the kids new favourite piece of equipment. I bet they'll be excellent operators before they even have a driver's licence...... Leave, Same or Better, Everything Be Kind ☮️🙋🏻♂️
Imagine - Marty T with a brand spanking new machine!! Couldn’t happen to a more deserving man. The love you put into those old machines has come back to you and the machine gods have said ‘Give that man something new!’ Glad to see you have that.
7:39 I've rented a few of these excavators for some small projects around the house. They're pretty decent. Pulls out small stumps and rotted material pretty well.
Congratulations, with new you get peace of mind and reliability. You work your machines hard but not recklessly, this machine ought to be a welcome addition to the fleet..☮️
I've got an old Kobelco 7.5 tonne excavator. I seriously considered a mini excavator and seeing this vid reminded me of the agony of deciding. The Kobelco is a $15,000 POS but it is amazingly handy, tracks almost straight, has plenty of power but no thumb or aux hydraulic line. A Hydraulic Progressive Link (PL) thumb would be nice on a mini. The self installing non OEM retro fit ones aren't usually PL so their range of movement is severely limited by the hitch. In a PL type thumb the thumb rotates around an elongated hitch pin the same one as the bucket rotates on so you can pick up more bulky stuff easier. If I was going to get a mini excavator that would be my no.1 accessory.
Congratulations on the new toy. To clean the uphill side of the road, you can rotate 30-40 degrees the arm with respect to the platform and have a better angle of attack of the bucket so that you attack parallel to the road. Thanks for the videos.
I'm so glad you could rescue this machine from the dealer. ❤
😆

It's part of a long project. He's going to abandon it in the trees for 30 years so his kid has something to restore.

Nah, he buys all the time. It's the "new" that confused me. 😁

The tetanus must’ve got him
😂😂😂
*_You mean to tell me that for all these years he ain't "bought " a "New" piece of equipment...??!!... Haaaaa...!!!...Ain't no way...!!!..._* 😂😂
Can't think of anyone more deserving a new piece of equipment more than you Marty.
Totally agreed. The effort and work he's put in it's so good to see him able to get a return on it all.
Amen!
It made me so happy lol 😭😍

Well said sir
This video has 15k viewers
Well there is a difference between sending a 4000 euro laptop to someone, or a 3000 euro camera, versus a 40 000 euro excavator.

Thanks for the tip, yes it is a very nice machine to operate, I did a lot of research and couldn't find many bad reviews
The tilt bucket is a game changer 😊
I wonder if he'll put a thumb on it?
Yeah need more info on that
Definitely need a good hydraulic operated thumb if available for this excavator. I don't like the "mechanical" thumb adjusted with a pin.
Is certainly a game changer, especially if you've never had the option 😅
Good for you Marty. Must be a breath of fresh air to have something new
Bet your son is ga-ga with your well earned acquisition! Best keep the keys in the wall safe. 😂
I first watched your video when you converted a dead washing machine into a lifetime supply of free electricity and I hope that your YT work has helped you buy the new excavator - you deserve it !
Thanks mate
holy shit me to, how kool was that!!!
Well, Marty, if anyone deserves to enjoy a bit of new excavator smell it's you.
May this little champ serve you well for decades at least.
Fr 💯😍
Takeuchi is really good stuff. I had one of their skid loaders and it was great. Never had a problem with it. Enjoy your new machine.
I did a lot of research and couldn't find many complaints
These takeuchi's are still one of the best minis on the market, extremely smooth and quick machines and just a joy to work with
Yes it is fast without being jerky,. Very nice to operate
Great video. Love to see you make the track to the turbine.!
Thanks mate

What a difference in that road.
Congratulations. All the best from CANADA.
Is this click bait?! Was it a scratch and dent discount?! PURE MADNESS!! Seriously though you definitely deserve a new machine!
The grading bucket with tilt is so useful
Nice score Marty. The first thing I noticed was the swivel bucket and expect it will be a godsend for the seemingly endless track maintenance work you have on your hands. Looking forward to seeing the track work up to the turbine. Thanks for sharing and cheers from across the ditch.
Maintaining those roads kinda looks therapeutic in a way. Good buy
Good to see that you reward yourself with new machinery 👍😁
Nice piece of equipment Marty, I have always thought that you needed a better access to your turbines. That will be an interesting video, thanks for sharing.
MartyT, congrats on ur new Takeuchi Tb217r Mini Excavator. looks like it will do the work on the dirt road..
Marty,
Very cool handy machine. The operator did a nice job as well. Thanks, Boe
Sweet little rig, and with the tilting grading bucket! Great for road and ditch maintenance.
Every man should take notes. Marty T is a master of his own universe. Everything he touches becomes better than it was before
Nice to see you with a new piece of gear. Taking it home and going right to work without having to sort the issues which parked it so long ago.
It's weird seeing you drive something new, but you deserve it. I never grow tired of your videos, Marty. Your knowledge of machinery, easy going nature and love for your family makes for great content. You are a true gentleman, and I salute you.
Congrats Marty. I know that lil machine will have a well maintained and never abused life.
Congrats Marty. Cheers from this side! What a sweet machine!

Hello Marty. Congratulations on the new buy. I do enjoy watching you take an older machine and bringing it back to life. Have good days!

Congrats on the new excavator, Marty! It looks like just the right tool for maintaining your roads, etc. Enjoy!
Good for you! That little machine is perfect for the narrow tracks around the mountainside. Enjoy the rest of your week.
Marty, I not used to seeing you operate a brand new mini excavator! Best of luck on that shiny new digger.
May it run long and strong for many years.
Nice to have new things sometimes. You kiwis love your takeuchi's!
They really are damn good machines.
Takeuchi are to compact excavators like Sony is to portable CD players, the OG
Europe/scandinavia loves takeuchi too. They are top of the line, user friendly and hold the value!

Very nice addition to the farm. Congratulations, you deserve it.
So stoked for you Marty, That clean up bucket is just the ticket, and then I saw it was a tilt bucket. You will be set mate. Very nice machine.
Cool little machine Marty. Landscapers dream and it seems to handle the bigger tasks well.
I was going to have a dig about all the existing equipment that you could have used, then saw the narrow track. Nice save!
brilliant purchase! I was wondering if the bucket had an optional thumb attachment, to make brabbing items such as logs easier?
Sweet wee unit! Love the tilt bucket. I guess a thumb might be in the cards with that extra function available?
Been looking for a second hand one as well for years. Always sell used for way more than they should.
