i wish you were in San Diego
I love what you do brother. Your passion and care is inspiring.
Thanks Larry... i very much appreciate your comment! Victor :)
Awesome axe mate, one of my all time favourite guitars
Thank you for speaking the truth!
Ah so the trem stop is needed to stop the other strings going out when the detuner drops nice one.
Thanks for the video, like standing with you in your shop and learn, love it! One of my kid just bought this exact guitar and I'm having a hard time setting the D-Tuna also, we may end up just taking out the Dtuna and have a guitar set for drop D and another one standard or flat. I can't get how the D-Tuna could *everytime" be push back at the exact place it needs to be in order to be an properly tuned E, one time it's on target the other it a tad sharp.
It will work correctly if set up right. It can just be fiddly to set up. I'd rather be without it tbh. I have a new one in my parts drawer never installed: that speaks volumes! Victor...
@@FretFriendLaGR 😃Thanks!
I just bought a EVH it’s in the way .. Do you better pics of how to setup that Floyd Rose and D- Tuna man it would be appreciated.. Says it will be here Tuesday and I also purchased just now the Trem block you spoke of
Hi... Sorry, I do not have pictures. Victor...
What type of oil one should use for this fretboard and at what interval should it be clean (roughly speaking) ?
No oil on a lacquered board! It does not penetrate lacquer. You can use oil as a cleaner if you wish (as I sometimes do) but use a damp cloth or a very small amount of furniture polish. Victor...
Thats a $2000 guitar and the guy has to put 200-300 into it to get it to work properly…great job Fender😳
£145. That's only because the D-Tuna was badly setup by another. There are no longer many new guitars with factory level frets (a scandal) and all guitar will benefit from at least one pro setup by a qualified tech/luthier. Yiu can almost write that £145 off as most guitars from new will greatly benefit from this work. Victor... PS: It's a £1200 guitar but at the time this was bought, it was an £800 guitar... PPS: I personally hate these guitars :P
LOL don't sugarcoat it Victor. tell us what you really think about this guitar 🤣
Man! I don't sugar coat anything: I tell it like it is :D
