Go over the top of the A pillar toward the silicon door lining. Then you can go down inside of the silicon door lining. You can completely 100% hide the wire! Use a plastic or hard cardboard tool to carefully shove in the wire. You do not want to leave any trace of the install when it comes time to remove the wire when selling or trading in the vehicle.
Many thanks for this - I've lost the manual for this and for the life of me couldn't get into the menu. At 4:35 you said the magic words to click ok to stop recording and that unlocked everything. I was about to give up and bin it as there doesn't seem to be anything online resembling a manual, so many thanks again from the UK!
I installed two cameras. One in my car and one in my dad's car. I used no clips and tucked it across the post instead of going down. All went well. Great review and good idea using those clips. I ended u grabbing the same dash cam. Does yours make this low quality sound every time you turn the car on and off? I'm wondering whether this can be turned off - otherwise I'll have to disconnect whatever cheap speaker they put in it.
@@MiguelCortez Thanks for your quick response, good to know the noise is on all of these cameras. I ended up taking the thing a part and removing the speaker. The camera now works without that noise. For anyone hoping to do the same, it is not difficult but be careful around the ribbon cables, and when reassembling it is really easy to strip the threading from the outer black screws.
Hi great video. I purchased this dashcam and I have a few issues. Maybe you could help ? Firstly the camera boots up and starts recording as soon as I unlock my car, is there a way of getting it only to record when I start the ignition? Secondly can you switch the screen off whilst you are driving but still record? The screen can be quite distracting. Thanks

great video. just a question. every once in a while does the camera delete its old footage? or do u have to do that manually by formatting? how do you know when your camera has reached its max footage and won't be recording anything?

There’s no app or way to immediately review the footage? I feel like that would be a huge Con if you’re unable to immediately check the footage in case of an accident and want to show the authorities.
I was able to install my dash cam with the wire completely invisible except for the window part at the mirror area. I used two very small 3M adhesive wire clips. I installed mine with the wire coming down the driver's side. The wire is completely hidden under the A pillar at the windscreen and comes down inside of the silicon lining to below the dash. I strung the wire under the dash next to the under dash vehicle harness. I found some flat areas where I was able to use the larger 3M adhesive wire clips. I got the wire out to the 12 Volt socket. I was able to very neatly put a 12 Volt socket splitter to allow for a second 12 Volt device. I charge the phone from the vehicle's USB connection. The way I did it the wire is completely invisible inside of the vehicle. I also installed a rear dash cam. The dash cams are the Garmin 55. The vehicle is a Nissan 2022 Pathfinder. I installed the cameras in a way when it comes time to trade in the vehicle the wire and cameras are easy to remove and will leave no trace of the installation. When trading any vehicle, if there are any marks on the finishing of the vehicle the dealer will deduct trade in value. This can be very costly.
