    You should look into a cellphone signal booster for the scooter, we have a household unit by Wilson at our lake place and they work good

    Heck ya Jake let’s break this mountain into a hill. Right now I’m working on finding a helper job, I’ve messaged over 200 welders on Instagram and many more on Facebook. Just lookin for my spot I know I can find one, and I won’t stop till I do.

    Accomplishing goals whether they are short term or long term is very much like eating an elephant. You do it one bite at a time. You look at the big picture and then figure out what steps you need to take to get where your end goal is at and do what you need to to get to that goal.

    • @JacobSchofield
      @JacobSchofield  5 років тому

      One step at a time. You are absolutly right.

    Hey I just took a weld test. And it was a branch test. The inspector had us do a 3 bead cap. Are they usually 3 bead I've only ever practiced two bead before bthw test how many passes do they usually get?

    • @JacobSchofield
      @JacobSchofield  5 років тому

      Ive always done a 2 bead cap but if that inspector wanted 3 then thats what you do.

    • @roosterboy1122
      @roosterboy1122 5 років тому

      @@JacobSchofield ok thanks I passed the test just wondering if it's common or not for a 3 bead cap

    Would you say it’s pretty easy to start working as a helper with zero experience? I’m really considering getting into the industry but haven’t because I know absolutely nothing about welding

    • @JacobSchofield
      @JacobSchofield  5 років тому +1

      Um It will depend souly on who you know or how well you are at building relationships. I knew no one when I started and just started meeting people.

    Jacob, it's called "prioritizing then getting to work. You know the old saying...."how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time." I'm doing that right now in my life. There are a lot of projects around my house that need attending to including 2 "project cars" I need to work on. One is a 1981 Jeep Renegade CJ-7 that needs both front hubs totally rebuilt. I've prioritized the Jeep to be first so that I can drive the danged thing. LOLOL. Sounds like YOUR mountain of needs is a whole lot higher than mine, but it also sounds like you are a natural prioritizer and will get things done quick, fast, and in a hurry. ( to borrow the line from Major Payne ). I've watched all of your videos and many of them, several times and you've stuck me as a natural problem solver. So, get'er done dude.

    • @JacobSchofield
      @JacobSchofield  5 років тому

    Hahahaha Propane hair cut . Had a few of them ,or burn the hair off one side of head running hot passes main lining . hahaha what a sight it was when long hair was in vogue . You should phone your guy that bought the $500,000 truck and ask him how he organizes his time when you graduate to I need 5 bodies to get done all the things I need to do. One of my associates decided to phase out welding and became a labor broker . Had a load of paper work . to get there . But leveraged his earnings hiring out welders and helpers to a major oil and gas company and had time for fixing up houses and renting them out as well as looking after a 10,000 square foot commercial building renting out floor space for small businesses . It helped that he had steady work starting out welding for a major gas and oil pipeline transmission company . Another associate on his spare time bought a vacant lot fenced it and slowly built a mini storage lot . Have a good one and be glad there is only 24 hrs. in a day .
