Might be impossible, since that would mean half damage (no abyssal blood or backstab), one dash, and zero revives (which is a central part of this run due to it being the only health regen). He would have to be insane to go for it. Maybe one day.

@@fabianfuentesarbelo6246 yeah, 62 is definitly possible but you need Hermes dashes and other insane boons to make up for the lost dash and 50%. The hermes boon is just one but making up that damage loss will require crazy luck since you saw how he beat it with less than 30 seconds. To make up 50% less damage it would have to be a miracle

I'm struggling to find much to say. All I know is when I paused to see that Pact of Punishment with nearly everything maxed out, I almost had a stroke. I guess you could call it a Heat Stroke at that point. Anyways. Well done.
@@victortangent3048 I think it's because Dio call does area damage and he was scared of urns spawned by Hades. They do 150 damage because of Heightened Security punishment. So if you trigger one of them, you're instantly dead. Dealing damage to urns triggers them.
@@thesenate8268 to add, I learned that Dio also creates I-frames upon activation so maybe Tailesque was waiting for a desperate moment where they needed to go invincible (usually to mitigate damage that stacks) so they were using it somewhat defensively

Same, although i noticed this guy literally muscle memoried the power shot timing. Literally 80% of his shots were power shots. I mean timing the shot followed by dodging enemies with 40% speed buff is insane ngl.

The enemies rarely give you any leeway at this point, so instead he'd fire off a lot of partial charges and rely on the point-blank upgrade to make up the damage
I thought the same thing at first, but now I don’t think so. He could just save that heal for the Theseus fight and get just as much value. It’s not like stubborn defiance where it makes sense to suicide once before leaving. Lucky tooth isn’t renewable.

I applauded at my screen. Incredible performance. VERY impressive movement and understanding of the game and enemies. I also chuckled every time you hit a 1337 damage. Saw it a second time during the final battle. very fitting.

@@bgauch72 I don't know if he wanted to heal with the Skelly tooth and died on purpose there, but I'm pretty sure you're eligible for Athena's Death Defiances as long as you've lost one of yours. I don't think you need to lose all of them. Stubborn Defiance would naturally replenish itself the next room since it was the one he lost.

It's not an instant game over when the clock reaches zero, you just start losing HP. Given that he had almost a full health bar + 1 DD left, the timer wasn't really an issue here :)

I’m losing my mind, you are legitimately a god gamer. Getting the right luck for a run like this must have taken so many attempts so you could hopefully get some good boons and hammers but you slaughtered the final Hades fight like a legend

I knew what was going to happen because I read the title of the video. But holy shit that run was so intense. When you lost skelly dd to asterius my heart almost dropped. And omg that last fight was crazy!
For the Athena boon it's not like the epic quality mattered though. And between being able to use a reroll and the fact that he already had his other skill slots filled, I'd say that it was hardly luck at all. The main luck was just that he happened to get an Athena in the run. And considering all the attempts that he tried and failed at 60 heat, I think that it's not luck at all, but rather kind of a "requirement" of the run (that, or getting something else good) for it to go well. Anvil sure, although luckier would have been if he never had to use the anvil in the first place. (Plus it isn't like Relentless Volley is good for Rama by that point) The Patroclus buff he got seems to have been the most useful and/or lucky. Not to say that Patroclus is especially rare (maybe 35% chance?), but still it's super important.
In the previous run at the start of the video, he got to hades p2 even without the Athena dash but ran out of time. But I think getting a lucky Anvil is definitely needed at high heat though, that's just how Supergiant designed it.

I just started playing hades. Finally beat final boss, found out about heat, dabbled in that. 90% of the pacts, I don't wanna touch. And you did it with all of those. I imagine this was a lot of luck because there's no way you woulda made this run with worse boons, cuz 5 second finish. Also. 5 seconds to finish? Are you fucking serious? When you started the fight with 4 mins, I thought there was no way. You spent 1min 30 secs on just the first phase, so I was sure you were gonna lose. Goddamn this is so fucking impressive it hurts haha. Great stuff, I wish I had the answers to all the questions this run made me have, but I'll just sit here and appreciate!

I have such trouble with aspect of Rama... that draw time gets me everytime and you actually play with the explosive lol crazy... and not even being able to choose your boons xD insane
Honestly I avoid explosive shot with rama now. Sure it's a LOT of damage, but as you said, draw time is too slow, and you have a lot of other good hammers anyway. But if you take it then I recommend just ignoring the power draw and playing very close to your ennemies, just doing short damage burst, and only do the fulll draw for attacks that are very slow like minotaur spin attack, hades healing or half laser. You also probably want athena's aid as it'll let you charge your shots without worry. And probably want something to deal with smaller ennemies on special like zeus when you don't want to charge your shot for every small rat. (quite important since your shot now does explode but doesn't goes through ennemies). Something like poseidon dash can do that too. Hope that helped though you probably figured all that out or stopped playing after three months but it might help someone else o/
I did a run with 56 heat. In a save file I decided to cheat my way to see what it’s like. Funny how you cleared rooms way faster than me. When I had one hit kill available. When I killed the fury sustares I had barely 3 seconds left. Super lucky. To explain, basically the cheat would dramatically increase my damage. But when you hit an enemy with armor the hit will only deal as much damage as there is armor. So it was a 2 hit. Then you had the blue heart things which made it into a 4 hit kill each enemy. Idk if it’s fast forwarded but he kills so freaking fast. You also had bosses and there “impervious” moments.
This is dope. I have absolutely no idea what's going on because I've only cleared the game once with each weapon lol, but it looks impressive. Not sure how you have so many lives, but ggs bro.

Didn't realize those were buttons to the left of the names of the upgrades. He was using Stubborn Defiance, which is how he had a life for pretty much each floor. I didn't realize those upgrades were there until my main upgrades were maxed out lol. Man...lol
Would you say Aspect of Rama Bow is the most viable weapon, or can other weapons work at higher heat levels like this? I understand there is personal preference. Though was it ultimately preference or viability that made you choose this weapon? Either way, congratulations on getting the WR. :)
Thank you! I would say that it's a mixture of preference and viability with Rama. It's one of my favorite aspects alongside Hades spear, but Rama is far better at ultra high heat because of the range, kit, damage output, hammers, etc. Other aspects are definitely viable at similar levels of heat; namely Beowulf, Eris, and Zeus. I'm just more practiced and comfortable with Rama. Hestia would be up there as well, but has a bit of a problem taking Damage Control 2, so it falls off a little sooner than those others I listed.

Rama bow does very high damage, you just need the right hammer combo.

You don’t die at the last second, it makes you rapidly lose health. He had a good 25 more seconds or so if he didn’t get hit.
He could survive for 31 more seconds assuming he didn't get hit again.

Pick Zeus and spam the special. There, autopilot Rama.

I did a run with 56 heat. In a save file I decided to cheat my way to see what it’s like. Funny how you cleared rooms way faster than me. When I had one hit kill available. When I killed the fury sustares I had barely 3 seconds left. Super lucky.
To explain, basically the cheat would dramatically increase my damage. But when you hit an enemy with armor the hit will only deal as much damage as there is armor. So it was a 2 hit. Then you had the blue heart things which made it into a 4 hit kill each enemy. Idk if it’s fast forwarded but he kills so freaking fast. You also had bosses and there “impervious” moments.

@@frostedbutts4340 I did, but after I posted that, a few games later I realized you could change the upgrades in the mirror. Didn't realize those were buttons to the left of the names of the upgrades. He was using Stubborn Defiance, which is how he had a life for pretty much each floor. I didn't realize those upgrades were there until my main upgrades were maxed out lol. Man...lol

Would you say Aspect of Rama Bow is the most viable weapon, or can other weapons work at higher heat levels like this? I understand there is personal preference. Though was it ultimately preference or viability that made you choose this weapon?

Thank you! I would say that it's a mixture of preference and viability with Rama. It's one of my favorite aspects alongside Hades spear, but Rama is far better at ultra high heat because of the range, kit, damage output, hammers, etc.
Other aspects are definitely viable at similar levels of heat; namely Beowulf, Eris, and Zeus. I'm just more practiced and comfortable with Rama. Hestia would be up there as well, but has a bit of a problem taking Damage Control 2, so it falls off a little sooner than those others I listed.
