HEY! I have tested and you CAN use cotton yarn for this hat, specifically "Sugar'n Cream" cotton yarn! This yarn is much more affordable and accessible, so if you're interested, you can find a link to it in the description box! Happy Crocheting~
Thank you so much! I took my time following all the adjustments, but it turned out truly pretty! I used a cotton cord, like for small macramé projects, thick enough for a 5mm hook, and edged the brim with two last rounds of half double crochet stitches and added two strands as piping to the very last row. Enough to keep the "facing down brim" style structured, but easy enough to pack and wash without thinking of wires. Thank you so much for the tutorial!
Hi! Ok, you added the instructions for the size two hat but you did not provide the rounds for the brim for that size. Could you please update the instructions the rounds for that size, please? Thank you!🙂
I looked into the link for her written pattern, it says 78 g of the raffia yarn she used. That yarn brand is 108 g so I guess it’s about 3/4 of the ball. Hope that helps
Im trying this with the sugar n cream yarn and a slightly smaller hook, any idea ehat the diameter is before you start step 11?? I think im going to need to add a few more rows but not sure what my end lengrh should be??
Bought raffia to do this hat, for some reason my stitches aren’t adding up, and I’m doing it right. Does the stitch marker go in the first stitch of the round or the last stitch of the round ??
Can you make a tutorial on how you made your crochet froggy headphone covers pleaseeeeee they are so cute. Im trying to make my room all froggy theme hah
Hi! I love the hat! I made a raffia bag and was left with one full ball of raffia yarn (80G/160M) would that be enough to make a hat? I would love to make it a matching set but I don’t really have access to more raffia of this color as I bought it while on a trip 😢
What should i do with Brim Rnd 3 if I choose the Size 2 in the pattern ? "Work 1 sc into the next 8 sts, work 1 inc into the next, *rep 9 more times." This hat is wonderful ❤and i want to wear it in summer ₊⁺♡₊⁺
Same. It is tiny 😭 same size yarn and hook and gauge. I’ve been working on it on vacation and wanted to have it to wear the last few days. I will have to start over with another pattern. My feedback would be to have the diameter measurement of the circle before row 11.
It says "raffia yarn" which at least in my country is made of paper? It seems like it's the same, but yeah I also want to know in detail 😅 how do I even wash it if I need to?

Hi Heather! Do you think if i use cotton or acrylic yarn, it can still get this shape of hat ?
Hello and Yes! I tested it and the best yarn I found that gives the same shape and structure is "Sugar 'n Cream" cotton yarn!

Hi there. Could you tell me ,please, how wide is the crown of size one hat.Thankyou so much.
Can you use a different type of yarn without it getting floppy?

@@hayhaycrochet thanks!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAA I REALLY LOVE EVERYTHING THAT YOU DO,.,.,., HEHEHE THANKS YOU SOSOSOSOSO MUCCCCCCHHH FORRR THE TUUTTSS!!!! 🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎
I loooove your website 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤🍎🍉Thankbyou so much
I think my stitches are too tight. I followed the pattern, but the hat came out so small! 😢
Same here. I have a very small head and was worried it would be too large for me. This is seriously toddler-sized. Waste of time and yarn.
I added one more row of increase (row 10) e and 2 rows (continued the same numbers of stitches until row 27) before go back to the pattern

@@sabrinakelly7772 I made another hat, followed your suggestions and it turned out the perfect size. I’ve worn it several times. Thanks!
How much raffia yarn do we need for a hat?
It is beautiful , may I ask you the kind of yarn please.
It says "raffia yarn" which at least in my country is made of paper? It seems like it's the same, but yeah I also want to know in detail 😅 how do I even wash it if I need to?
I’m not sure why but I have the same number of stitches but my hat at the end of row 25 looks so wide and big
Have you tried comparing your gauge ? It might be a problem of tension, or blocking maybe
how much of yarn to make this girl?
Hvala ❤😊
Can you use acrylic at all?
I dont think so. It would end Up being all floppy and falling over your eyes...
hi!
first! at least i think so
Tried cotton...was fine until the brim. Wasted time.
Too many adjustments
