Made a free account about a week ago and did MM as a brand new player as one of my first quests. Mirror part was easy even being terrible at controls/camera but if you mean it's the worst part of an otherwise great and creative quest then I agree with that part.
Hey on the title screen could add an episode # so we can watch in order quickly without digging through dates and stuff. thanks! loving the entertainment!
Thanks for the feedback! I’m currently leaving that off to avoid discouraging potential new viewers who dont want to join a series half way through, but I will definitely see! Thanks for the comment
I'm really glad you took the time to explain the lore of the quests. I know the lore, but it never occurred to me the impact the quest rune mysteries had until you explained it the way you did.
Loving this series! I just recently (well, pre League) started playing OSRS myself for the first time, on an iron, and went through all the free to play quests unguided! It was super hecking fun.
Just come across this series, it brings back so much nostalgia. Not knowing what you are doing and having to work things out for yourself. I feel like you're going to bring me many hours of reminiscing on the good times whilst watching this
You inspired me to do this one unguided! I feel like it's the perfect quest do to in this manner, since it's completely self-contained. The only part that I got stuck at was the part where you are supposed to use a knife on the "hearth", like how was I supposed to know to use a KNIFE on it? Whatever lol.
Misthalin Mystery was the first quest I gave up on trying to solve myself and looking up a walkthrough on the wiki, slippery slope to downloading runelite and mindlessly following quest helper lol playing through without any outside help sounds so cool, just glad some one else doing it so I can watch instead!
2:20 18 years ago, in 2005 after just starting I was attacked and died to a mugger behind Lumbridge castle (west of it), took me 2 weeks to get back the starting stuff.
Started the same year and thought I had what it takes to kill an al kharid guard after the difficult 10gp grind to enter the desert. I think I lost some shitty random stuff I picked up, but I remember being devastated by the loss 😆
Being low level and not having a guide for this game is so magical Walking through the city to be attacked by a mugger and think "oh shit" and just know nothing about where anything is, is something you just don't experience these days.. That being said, not having guides would be so aids hahah
Misthalin Mystery is probs my least favourite quest in RS to do, mainly because it's a rehash of a previous halloween event... you bossed it though! You're a lot smarter than you might think.
I hate doing quests in OSRS, this series is just the thing i need - someone else doing it and explaining the sh*t i'm too lazy and to put off to pay attention to myself.
I tried to do this unguided, but I only got as far as needing to dry the fuse out by lighting candles before I got stuck, like how the fuck is that meant to work candles aren’t that hot! This level of unintuitive would set the bar for all the other quests to come and I never went unguided again😂
Great idea for a series, looking forward to it. My only advice is you’re kind of mumbling. Maybe it’s the mic, but it sounds like you’re kind of taking under your breath instead of clearly annunciating.
Man, really takes me back to my childhood, being ABSOLUTELY stumped by the piano playing part and talking about it with all my friends at the lunch table, until someone's older brother figured it out and we he called each of our houses to tell us how to do it. Such simple times.
very nice but explaining the quest was a bit on the fast side, could ya speak slower when reciting the plot? it is this series strong suit and gives lots of nostalgia :D love the series
Better idea, you make it EVEN HARDER. Instead of can't use guides, you can ONLY use SOUP's guides! You'll be even more lost and REALLY have no idea what to do 🤣
A couple! Mainly just quality of life things or ones that prove grinds, like loot tracker, the left click use bones one and things like that. Nothing that gives me new information I didn’t previously have
It was a Halloween event originally. Community wanted it back since there was so much effort put in. Passed a poll. It does help that Mod Ash developed it iirc
“How’s that gonna help him, me getting myself killed?” -fitting internal monologue for like 20% of the quests in this game, haha
I absolutely LOVE the premise of this and I'm excited to see it continue! The "boss" fight in this quest absolutely blows, by the way.
Thank you! Agreed lol
I just did this quest on my phone. It was terrible doing that mirror bs lol
I loved the quest as a whole, but the damn mirrors...
I never had a problem with the mirror tbh.

I did Misthalin Mystery with no guide about a year ago, definitely takes some time working everything out.

Thank you, I've been wanting to see someone do this for years. I'll be watching all your content.
Thanks for the support! Hope you enjoy

This series is great. Love that you are playing with osrs sounds on, very nostalgic. Keep up the good work!
Thank you! Glad you’re enjoying
Bloody love the doodles @ 1:56

It was super cool to see you do misthalin mystery without a guide. You picked up on the riddles quick!
Real nostalgia feel. Me and my friends had no idea what we were doing. We just killed the hobgoblins on that peninsula

Yeah that bit took me a while 😅

I'm so excited to gave a new series to binge at work. Thank you for this!!
2:20 18 years ago, in 2005 after just starting I was attacked and died to a mugger behind Lumbridge castle (west of it), took me 2 weeks to get back the starting stuff.
Ik kid brain at that time but c'mon make another account 😂
Started the same year and thought I had what it takes to kill an al kharid guard after the difficult 10gp grind to enter the desert.

@@Rock_Appreciator u did better than me i remember panic home teleing to lumbrigde when first seeing a daaaaamn scary lvl 19 camel
wait till bro gets to desert reasure 2 with no guide. or song of the elves. god bless your patience
sote and mep2 will be funny lol
As a space bar quester, I'm learning so much about why these quests have you do what you do, so thank you for that! Lmao
love the scary movie reference to the misthalin quest.
I love the blur out over screen draw. Reminds me of sly cooper as a kid!
Watching the series through again and I noticed how the intro gets faster and faster as the series goes on 😂
you've inspired me to start again doing a similar run through on HC iron man! loving the content! :)
Good luck! On a hardcore as well, that's going to be insane
So glad the algorithm recommended this series, going to binge it all!

loved that little exposition doodle lol
video 2! looking good my dude! will be counting the amount of trading averts I see along the way. We are up to 2 so far!
Misthalin Mystery is probs my least favourite quest in RS to do, mainly because it's a rehash of a previous halloween event... you bossed it though! You're a lot smarter than you might think.
My buddy suggested to watch you I just finished 1st episode and this is going to be epic
The unlit candles thing stumped me for a bit, cuz on mobile they basically look the same. I was upset that you got it instantly xD
lmao you literally had me yelling WORK OF ART, A WORK OF ART look at the walls! during this one, interested to see where you'll take us next :D
I never realised after watching this back that the killer is in the forest at the street of the quest! Creepy vibes for sure
He's sure going to love monster examine when be unlocks that
You should have a crossover episode with "By Release" at some point. I bet J1mmy would be down, and that'd rock. 🤘
"can I stab a mirror"
well... not yet
I hate doing quests in OSRS, this series is just the thing i need - someone else doing it and explaining the sh*t i'm too lazy and to put off to pay attention to myself.
LMAO at the ??? when you "stab the mirror." Quality work mate

Same bro lol
Hooked after this. Great series.
Hell yeah! Such a good series
this is a great series! subbed!
Murder mystery takes the Cut in cutscene quite literally.
Great idea for a series, looking forward to it. My only advice is you’re kind of mumbling. Maybe it’s the mic, but it sounds like you’re kind of taking under your breath instead of clearly annunciating.
Yeah definitely mumble sometimes when thinking, hopefully get’s better in later episodes when i get more used to talking whilst recording

Bro what this quest came out in 2017
@@andrewnuske4404 oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Murder_Mystery
it came out in 2003... you know osrs is based off the game from pre 2007 right?
@@andrewnuske4404 wait nvm im dumb wrong quest
Damn, you're young af
This is brilliant.
I thought "Hearth" just meant "house", so imagine how pissed I was last night giving up after half an hour and looking at the wiki
very nice but explaining the quest was a bit on the fast side, could ya speak slower when reciting the plot? it is this series strong suit and gives lots of nostalgia :D love the series
Thank you! I’ll bare that in mind :)
How is aubrry an expert on runecrsfting when its been forgotten for a entire age
Lol very valid question, I have no idea
it was not forgotten they just have issue with lack of rune essence
Hell yeah. I love this.
been trying to figure out which track is used for the intro and can't find it. any help?
Liked and commented for the algorithm
3:22 you can rc without rune mysteries complete, it only gives access to the rune essence mine.
Smashing trees, bud
No way you got draynor pig pen from that cypher it literally doesn’t even have a d or a g or an r ?? I was stuck myself
When was zenyte added to this quest?
"It was walking" lolll
This is great
Better idea, you make it EVEN HARDER. Instead of can't use guides, you can ONLY use SOUP's guides! You'll be even more lost and REALLY have no idea what to do 🤣
Sick
Also, are you using any plugins?
A couple! Mainly just quality of life things or ones that prove grinds, like loot tracker, the left click use bones one and things like that. Nothing that gives me new information I didn’t previously have
10:14 why'd he slap her ass like that tho lmfao
why does runescape just have a slasher movie quest?? feels so out of place in the setting
Yeah it is quite random, and all within draynor manor but it isn’t actually draynor manor it’s somewhere on an island
A bit late here but I think it was released as a Halloween event a few years ago
It was a Halloween event originally. Community wanted it back since there was so much effort put in. Passed a poll.
It does help that Mod Ash developed it iirc
oh my life whats going on here..... nice. lol
I dont know if you'd consider this but you could do clues on mobile. Mobile has a built in clue helper, so technically not a plug in lol...
1:28 bot farm..
yep
