Do you have any luck fishing during the winter? What lures/bait do you use when you fish in the winter? Checkout my last saltwater fishing adventure here: ua-cam.com/video/EHsqNMDER2Y/v-deo.html
Winter fishing is not for the weak. tests your Patience and your ability to fight the cold hand numbing wind. Thats awesome you were able to get on a nice Flounder. within an HR of time too!
It definitely isn't! The cold was really the only reason we spent so little time on the water! I usually will grind it out for much longer, even if the bite is slow! I think that ended up being Max's biggest flounder to date. But it was only his second or third flounder ever, so that was easy to break!
It can definitely be hit and miss this time of year, but there are days where the fishing can actually be really good. However, that's not the norm during the winter months. Thanks for sharing the adventure. Glad you were able to get out with your friend. Keep up the good work buddy!
Thank you! Even though we didn't have much luck, it's always good to get to hang out with friends, especially on the water! If I had some cold water gear so that I could take my kayaks out, we may have been able to find a few more fish. That's definitely something I need to invest in soon!
For sure! I typically don't fish much during winter, but Max and I had been trying to go fish together again for a while, and we finally had a day we could both go!
@@ENCFishing oh yeah. I understand that. We had some decent luck at topsail over nye weekend. Really really slow presentation with zman paddletail and vudu shrimp
We actually filmed this on the 28th, so just before you had some luck, but I think we had a lot of things hurting our chances. The water was muddy, due to the rain the day before, the cold, and the water is relatively shallow where we were fishing, and the only deep holes are too far from the pier to reach without a boat.
Luckily we only have roughly 2 to 3 months here in Eastern North Carolina, where it's a bit cold for fishing. There are still fish that can be caught, but there are just fewer options, and then just being cold makes it a little less enjoyable. Thank you for watching and commenting!

Winter fishing is kinda hero or zero for sure. Tough days hopefully make way for great days!

We have to take the boat here sometime
That’s the pier I was telling you about earlier! I’ve never been there without a fish catch!
