At this point, I've only caught one pompano, but it was unfortunately a small one so it wasn't much of a fight. I definitely want to try to catch some more though!
I was down at Atlantic beach this weekend. Caught a few small sharks and croaker. Pinfish annihilated my bait as always. I was at the Oceana and saw a few small mackerel and flounder too. Agree that it's been slow this year; I had better luck in spring in similar locations.

At least you were able to catch something! For me, catching something is better than nothing.
Cool video, I fish Atlantic Beach Fort Macon often. This year, the bite has been pretty slow there.

Thanks! I actually haven't tried fishing at Carolina Beach, but I need to! I usually go to Atlantic Beach or someone on the Outer Banks.
