- Alright folks, it's time. Local man yaps for over 2 hours about his PS3 games collection. That local man is me. A lot of you know at this point the PS Triple is my favorite console ever. So unsurprisingly, I have a lot of games for this big beauty. And I also have a lot to say about these games. So let's go over all these Sony published games, the obscure titles, third party games, of course the 2nd party stuff, and other SEO keywords that I have to write in this description.

43:18 Ryan I have been watching you for years, you do not understand the pleasure it is to know that YOU purchased a game from MY COLLECTION, as I sold that GTA San Andreas Black Label to "Brooklyn Video Games" which you bought! That is so sick man. I bought the game from Saudi Arabia brand new sealed and opened it for fun and sold that copy to Brooklyn Video Games last Christmas. That is the "Mexico" release. I bought it from a collector who had 10 sealed copies on eBay and paid $100 for it. Upvote this comment so Ryan can see!

PS3 has a special place in my heart, the first PS console I bought with completely my own money after saving for weeks (and getting some money back from selling my 360). I remember picking it and Dead Space, Uncharted 2 and AC2 up on the same day and playing the console for hours into the night. I platinumed Dead Space in like 3 days because I was just so addicted to it.
I will be watching every single second of this videos. Here we go. I love the PS3 during my early teens. This was when I convinced my friends to get their own PS3.

Dont get me wrong the ps2 and ps4 are amazing consoles that elevated PlayStation's brand to the next level, but i still think nothing comes close to PS3 in terms of exclusives
If you’re talking first and second party I would agree.
But if we include third party exclusives, the PS2 is unmatched, as that had literally thousands of games that third parties only made for it…
PS3 is great but the PlayStation 2 is my favorite console of all time because of how absolutely massive its catalog is, and most of those games still hold up today.

Those 1st print Slip covers like Bioshock and Tekken 6 are more valuable than you think. There around 5-10x worth than the standard complete in box of the same game
I’m primarily an Xbox gamer but still have had every PlayStation so I appreciate the games that come out for it. That being said you’re the only PS UA-camr I watch, I love your content and especially long videos like this ! So much nostalgia !

I started working at a type of good will store a few months back and I've gotta say it's a fantastic way to start collecting. Between that and Facebook bidding groups, I've probably gotten a few grand in games, consoles and accessories for around 300 bucks within around 3-4 months.

I like this part because you repeat it twice and It was great. 1:55:30 I saw you as the trophy king for the longest but 3 games on 3 different gaming consoles at the same time is amazing. You're the trophy gamer god. I love getting trophies but It' very rare for me to 100 % a trophy list. 1:57:31 the nightmare fuel has gotten to you. That's not the type of game for super sexy time that's the type of game that warns them to run away fast. The faces on those characters were something else. Cool video. ^_^
Monster Hunter Tri was originally intended to be a PS3 game, but ended up on the Wii. That was tragic. We could have gotten something like Monster Hunter World back in 2010 or 2011, before the actual Monster Hunter World existed. Damn you Capcom
On a positive note, Assassin's Creed 1 waa a narrative and thematic masterpiece. Altair is one of my favorite video game protagonists to this day, hos design is so iconic too
On a side note, i highly recommend peaple go read the Assassin's Creed Forsaken novel. I have read it, it is s great book. It follows the protagonist Haythem Kenway, who is such a compelling and engaging character.

For what it's worth, they also canceled the highly anticipated Mega Man Legends 3 and I suspect that the Great Recession of 2008 greatly affected the industry as it did many others.
Didn't the vita in Japan also get a monsterhunter title that America didn't get? I feel like that would have helped the console as the 3ds ports were popular here in the US
PSP and PS3 did end up getting Tri as Monster Hunter Portable 3rd and Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD. Only available in Japan though.

Nice collection my man. Never change. We love watching your collection grow. Pains me to ever have a huge collection like yours😅. Games i have ,are ones i would play. Like you im a stickler about having a complete game, cover art and booklet. Every game i bought from ps1 to ps5 i still have. There were regrets from the ps1 era tho😅, by trading in, not knowing value today. Even from the Nintendo days😢big mistake. Lesson learned. Never trade games or sell unless you truely dont care about that game. Ryan keep doing what you love and spending that money😂
As far as I know, the Japanese version is the only one with a trophy patch for 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand on PS3. You can still get 100% Achievements (including online) on the Xbox 360 for both the US and Japan editions of the game.
Saw this was posted in the morning and couldn’t wait to sit down with dinner and watch Ryan talk about PS3 games. I got away from video games and sold most of my old stuff but kept my PS3 and about 10 games. When I got back into collecting in 2018/19 I was picking PS3 games up for $2-5$ a piece. It’s by far my favorite console and the most of any console I have.

I know every one loves to dump on annual sports games and their value often reflects that. But I have different opinion on sports games: I think they’re extremely undervalued. For me they serve as sort of a sports archive or almanac. Being able to relive some of the past era’s of legendary teams and players. Modern sports games don’t do a great job of preserving sports legacies especially smaller legacies or less prolific players , but you can always pop in an EA Sports title from 2004 and dominate with the best teams and players from that era. Looking at it from a historical archive perspective, the value of these games is a tremendous bang for your buck.
I think the same and that’s why I never get rid of any of my sports games. And now I think you are starting to see a rise in popularity of people making content around these classic games with classic rosters or fantasy drafts rewriting history or digging up a time capsule back to a different era with the rosters and presentations.
Also because the focus on sports games has gone live service it cool to go back and see how much more back for your buck you got back in the day.

Spot on with the San Andreas black label info. All ESRB copies will have GH discs, there was never (in NTSC that is) any black label discs printed.
Mexico/LATAM regions got black label artwork, whereas US/Canada got Greatest Hits artwork.
for call of duty i prefer organizing it by release dates of the games and not really alphabetically
The only thing that still hurts me about ps3, and even more so today, is just how many games have online multiplayer trophies. It's hard to curate a good list of ps3 games you can platinum in this day and age but the ones you can do are still really fun. Currently doing the ratchet and clank trilogy on ps3 as well as vita so i can hopefully pop all those platinums concurrently
Yeah I agree I have no idea what they were thinking with all the online trophies, I think there are communities built for grinding them out but I wouldn’t mind if we built up a community to take care of those pesky trophies here too!
Interesting to see the price differences between the US and UK. Vast majority of PS3 games here are less than £6-£7 in UK. Top end games are £100-£120 such as Tornado Outbreak.
As a fellow European I also enjoy much lower prices compared to the US
There is a more competitive market in the UK. Twin Snakes is also cheaper there and there is a Greatest Hits release as in the UK it sold enough to get one which goes for cheaper.
As a fellow-fellow European I concur. AFRIKA is the wildest price I have seen in Europe for PS3, but that was probably just a US seller masquerading. All I need is a cozy compact way to capture the PS3 HDMI again without pesky interference signals and I will show another generation 3D DOT GAME HEROES.
Finally found someone who loves 2008 Prince of Persia as much as me! The art style and gameplay always stood out to me... when I got the chance to play myself it becomes my favourite PoP for sure.

You my friend have a goldmine of retrospective experiences of pure nostalgia! I like my little physical collection (2600, NES, GENESIS, SATURN, PS1, DREAMCAST, NEO GEO POCKET, PS2, PSP, PS3, PS VITA PS4, SWITCH) but I wish I would have done more investing and holding on to other copies that I regret of letting go in my broke days.
There are 7 gaming channels I follow and when you guys post new content it makes my day a little bit better.
I got R&C Quest for Booty physical from ebay. It was an EU physical exclusive. Unfortunately Deadlocked HD didn't get any physical editions.

PS3 was one of my favorite consoles of all time. The games still had that nostalgic PS2 feel (full complete offline games) just with better graphics.

Good look. Yeah I don't mind Blazing Angels. Ah PSN physical always nice. Blur is great cult following people pushing it's reputation I assume, got it cheap loved it. The Club as well. Brink is fair. As buying up 7th gen shooters yeah I'll get a better working copy. Brutal Legend is great news to play more. Yeah but PS2 gen gameplay was better then PS3+ being so eh core, stretched and dull, bland so any PS2 experimental yes please over modern design lacking and more garbage design.
Prefer older PS2 COD games and never played them. Campaign only of interest.
The Darkness is good, need to get into more. Very particular design but still fun.
Yeah Driver San Francisco and Battlefield 2 Modern Combat have great mechanics for their genres of swapping characters in the world/driver in car. Fair themes. 3DS entry I get why it's bad but I started with it then San Francisco I have yet to get into more. Besides Stuntman Ignition.
Yeah it's why I skipped seeing Bayonetta 3 copies on PS3 the 2 I've seen. I could put of curiosity but got the Wii U version of Bayo 1 so it's fine.
Eye of Judgement is cool, not my thing but a cool idea for what it is for card games.
Haze is fine. Couldn't care less about ots reputation.
Heavenly Sword don't mind rhe length.
Infamous 1&2 are interesting. Dynamic choices/gameplay responses is cool, Second Son enjoyed the side quests/structure more but the gameified decisions brought it down.
I like Lair, it's different but good. Need to finish it but even if particular at times, the setting and controls are fair. PSP support as well. It's not Dragon riders of Pern deep but its something. Then again that was a Dreamcast game and not the best representation of the books.
Ladt of Us, snore....... I find ogher horror games better, presentation was boring, gameplay worse then Uncharted, puzzles duller even. Story is generic. First hour is whatever.

As own all Spark games now buying Turning Point recently and got COD Finest Hour month earlier. Legendary is an ok shooter with fantasy creatures coming to the real world and basic powers. Its an ok game set in the modern day. Annoying gridfins or Imps, basic powers could be more interesting then healing and I think other basic benefits.
LBP is great. Karting I enjoyed.
Lollipop Chainsaw I want but is $200 for my area. No thanks. Tank Tank Tank $60, others sure but $100+ games is a bit much. Consoles sure.
Yep I do check memory cards, got a PS3 Super Slim woth game sames but Wii U was reset, 360 I think updated but no saves on it pther than my own.
Not bought the Fifa, SingStar or others on them. But seena few PS3 games and saves ans what was sold during thpse times like MotorStorm Pacific Rift or some others.
Lost Planet is great. Got all PS3 copies but yeah 2 didn't work so had to buy a 360 copy but got stuck on a boss, same with 1 a boss stuck. 3 just need to get back into.

Yep the comic. Got 360 1&2 then PS3 for 3 I get a few goues in like 10+ hours then don't bother a few scenarios.
Medal of Honor 2010 is ok. Beat it even if awkward at times. Warfighter is worse and got stuck on a sniper bit. Sigh. Bought the PS2 entries as well, they are fair.
Mirrors Edge ia good. Awkward to play at times but fun. Catalyst is ok.
Modnation is fair, better then Vita Road Trip. Ghe story is funny, gameplay has irs kart racing AI issies I hate but its fair of design and structure.
MotorStorm is great. 1/Pacific Rift has irs eh about it bur still good. Apocalypse I prefer just that bit more.
Naughty Bear is odd but like Conker had a place. But Behaviour/A2M trying something new like Scaler and Wet besides their licenses games and before Dwad by Daylight.
Smash is popular but MANY 2D battle arena fighters exist, idiots. I don't pick up one on ones or typical foghters because the characters suck to control, moves are fair but characters are stiff to move and ghr arenas are boring because noatter the location the places to move arw the same so why would I want that if playing the stages mean nothing. If more outside going on or objects like a beat em up sure but usually they are boring to me.
People saying popularity garbage qhen PS Allsatrs has good ideas just not ghe best executed sure it happens for their first attempt.
Modnation and LNP Karying are goos, Mario Kart to me is boring the characters and trqckd are ok. Kart poeces are ok but double dash/missions in DS were more exciting.
Other kart racers are better then the popular one people talk about.
Reputation means nothing to me the game design ANY DAY over fan/player mindset nonsense. Gameplay even if not great was more fun then saying wanting a mature one on one or tag team foghter because stupid perception garbage to be taken seriously.
Yes because mature/adult games aren't better they are more theme increased, but duller gameplay which is hilarious to me. Any day a platformer woth more gameplay fun mechanically then a atretched core so boring I can't be bothered eoth and a whatever matute story. Themes are just an adult/mature joke to me then TOUGHER gameplay or more compelling gameplay to justify it being adult not just whatever themes/blood and gore or fan service as like the only reasons. It just makes it more hilarious to me every day and also will be more hilarious.
PS Move Heroes isn't great vut I had fun with it. It needed to be more then minigames, stiff combat and arenas. But yeah that studios and stretched too thin as well.
Is it the best version Portal 2 huh. XD Didn't know that. Its a good game but awkward at times, tougher but fair.
2008 Prince of Persia is ok. I have preferred Forgotten Sands Wii or Two Theones (don't own Sanda of Time waiting on Remake or the 3rd one).
Not played the PS3/360 version or PSP/DS. Wii was good.

Grid is good in some ways.
Rage is ok.
Ratchet games Ceack in Time is excellent. Rift Apart sucks it didn't push for similar ideas and a Tools type fame and remade levels feom that game.
Nexus was fair. The two experimental titles are fair. Platinum for 2&3 are easy, 1 is annoying for the race time 1.35 trophy.
Red Faction are fine.
RE games are ok jumped at 5&6, need to pkay them vut they are ok to me. Not a horror person but fine owning some.
Resistance 3 best mechanics, ok story/themes, 2 stripped back things. 1 fair idea, has irs moments. Difficulty for Killzone and Resistance os a challenge for sure. Killzone Mercenary preferred for irs ideas, the rets were ok and moee for story then gameplay being ok for how different they are which I likw thr series for but depth wise eh.
2 is ok but held back mechanics to be duller. I didn't think much of story/eh level design then 1&3 ideas and design.
The alt history of Resistance and Wolfenstein, Fallout is great, and weapon ideas for Resistance were great. Co-op is in all games, co-op that long no idea what thats like.

Yep annoying naming. Shift 1 was good. Starting qoth 2 wasn't into it besides not loading aome tracka well so progression halted.
Project Cars 3 being worae but fair for mw to own as some parts are ok.
3D games are fair to check out.
Only got SingStar Vol 1 didn't bother woth later PS3 SingStar games like I got a few of the PS2 ones. Seen Vol2 but didn't care for any I have seen. But yes PS2 mics is great.
But disk swapping huh didn't know that, that's cool. I need to check that as not put SingStar PS3 Vol 1 i to my Slim ever since my OG BC PS3 died by Mass Effect 3. I need to put the songs on it then.
I want Singularity, its pretty cool to me at least as buying up 7th gen sbooters.
Skating games are fair I need to pick up at least 1 at some point. Never caring for skating games. Only played Spyro thats it nothing actual skating. More racing type.
Sly is great, unlike Jak 1-3 yeah I prefer 1 of Sly, not 2&3 of Sly. Not played other than the demo of Thieves in Time. 2&3 of Jak didn't mind the missions or vehicles helped it a lot.more.
Not played SOCOM much only PSP or 1st on PS2. Not heard much of 4.
Generations was ok. Unleashed got on Wii to cut out tbings its awkward at times, as a hack n slash interested last few years Werehog is eh.
Yeah not into Sonic. Got some, not really into them. Different in a good way but eh.
Sorcery I like, uses Move well. Got stuck at times. I like it.
Split Second is great.
Starhawk I played parts of the ship/building. I think irs cool, but awkward to play.
Sports Champions I own as a test game, irs ok for what it tries to expand itself fhen Minect Adventures being eh and Wii Sports being arcadey fun. Its fair.
Stranglehold is good, need to play more. Love it and Wet for what they do.
Rise of Argonauts is fair hack n slash RPG. Beowulf is ok. Vikings is an ok RPG.
Getting into Tom Clancy games, fair Splintercell/Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon. PS3/360 better playing I think.
Tornado Oubreak I remember it. Very cool. Didn't know rhat detail about it huh.
Uncharted its pretty obvious, balances things well.
Unreal Tournament 3 I think ia fair. Not like the others but as not pkaysd rhe othwrs I still had fun with it likr a SW Battlefront for a multiplayer campaign and like Doom/Quake fair movement in comparison.

Wow, never realized I had 2/3 of the top hidden gems. I got them years ago because I played the folklore demo and loved it. I also really love Atlus so I had to get 3D dot game heroes.

As far as I have seen, these titles never received a black label reprint to correct the banner. The next EA game to be released (Def Jam Icon) released March of 2007 and all copies had the corrected banner coloring.
I definitely feel you regarding the stupid names of certain games. I always write Need for Speed Shift 2 instead of Shift 2 Unleashed when I include that game in a video. The NFS games from 2010, 2012 and 2015 all have stupid names as well. Same with the latest Forza Motorsport, which I just call FM8 and I wish more people did.

The PS3 is my favorite console of all time, due to the moment I was in life and also because Sony simply released a variety of great exclusives and alternative games from different genres. You could live off of only the "Only on PS3" games and still have an incredibly diverse library. Best console of all time., being released in 2006 with Blu-ray and other powerful features, it had a certain mystique around it. I loved the DualShock, the free PSN, the menus, etc.
I used to be a staunch alphabetical order guy, but I've switched to release order. It makes the shelf pop more with variety, and it's nice seeing all the case variants together instead of mixed. It also cool to see how the console evolved over time, playing the games in order.

For my PlayStation 3 collection I have NCAA Football 11 12 Madden NFL 07 08 09 and Madden NFL 25 which released 2014 Saints Row 2 Saints Row Re Elected WWE 2013 WWE 2K14 15 16 and 17 MLB The Show 2013 - 2016 MLB 2K 2013 Red Dead Redemption Grand Theft Auto 4 and 5 and San Andreas remaster I also have Batman Arkham Asylum game of the year edition which was my favorite l loved that version over the PS4 remake. I have South Park the stick of truth and Battlefield 3 to top it off what an amazing console the PS3 I was unable to get a PS3 at launch due to the price so I ended up getting a Nintendo Wii instead that was an awesome console to. However that being said I did manage to get a PS3 in late 2012 as a gift and by that time it was almost at the end of its life cycle but man did I ever enjoy the hell out of that console my favorite game was Batman Arkham Asylum for it. GTA 4 was awesome as well.
For the Madden NFL 07 - 09 games I got them later on I was able to find them at Game Stop for a great deal they were selling them for like 10 bucks pre owned

I recently got Retro City Rampage and Hawaii Shakwdown sealed....
