NOOOOOOOOO!
Where’s the link for the other hotel?
yes been twice i loved it
I wouldn’t go now but I went when I was 20 and it was a blast. Very clubby vibe in certain parts and quite a nicely maintained placed really.
The infra-red light is for when you're traveling with your emotional support lizard.
I'd definitely want a balcony. Everything else I could cope with but being able to sit out in the evening/morning on the balcony is the best!
It's a good example of how a 5 star Hotel can actually be less premium than a 4 star or even 3 star can be. It's all about facilities rather than luxury I mean they are always a certain standard just not necessarily uber luxurious. You should do a video on the star rating actually it's very complicated!
That's a cool idea, I'd be interested in it.
I would be interested in that too. I have come across 3 star hotels being much better than 4 or 5 star hotels. I've learned to ignore the star rating, lol!
@@LittleKitty22 It's not a case of ignore the star rating, just be aware that the star rating doesn't really apply sensibly to "holiday hotels". How often do you actually need room service and a trouser press on a beach holiday?
@@oldbloke135you would be surprised
@@oldbloke135 Exactly, so many "luxury" hotels are just filled with things most people won't use. Those hotels are mainly just for people with money to go around showing that they have money to throw around.
If I booked 5* and got that I'd be bloody furious lol...also I'm not sure that lonely prawn had been de veined...oh loved this one..thanks Tim 🎉
You literally need your own channel 4 show 😂 honestly Tim have you ever done presenting before ? Your a natural love your vids
Yes a lonnnggg time ago
I SO agree you would be great Tim! When I first discovered your channel I actually thought you were a presenter for a TV home type show similar to ‘Grand Designs’ type of thing! Shows you are doing a fab job!
Tell us more Tim!
My father in law used to have an infra red heater in his bathroom 40 odd years ago.
The infrared heat directly warms the room which keeps the walls, floors and ceiling warm. This reduces damp, condensation and mould, plus with infrared there's no need for underfloor heating because you won't have cold floors.
You should be a presenter Tim you are a natural to TV love watching all ya videos 😊😊
I stayed in a 4* last year, about 5 mins walk away which looked far superior to this 5*! Mine had a much, much bigger room, nice balcony, good food/drink and spa facitilies AND treatments included free of charge
“Running machine” that says it all. Seriously ur videos are helping me plan my holidays
The tomato you drank is actually to put on your toast. Very common for breakfast in Spain. Pan con tomate/ tomaca
Lololol
Pan am boli
😂
Trouble is it’s Benidorm moment you walk out you see the gut buster breakfast bars every with a pint of lager thrown in.
😂stereotype. This hotel is actually in the old town where there isn’t anything of the sort.
I've stayed in 3.5 and 4 star hotels with all the amenities that were in this hotel and a lot more besides yet were way cheaper and also included evening meals as well so not so sure about 5 stars based on amenities alone. I think you've been had or duped, no balcony is criminal given its location!!! Thank you for the videos Tim.
Just remember where this hotel is… Benidorm. I mean, what do you expect?
I know they missed out on that !
Hi Tim ! Not overly that impressed with this hotel. I'd say it's a more 4 star than 5. No bedside tables, small room ,no balcony ,and a very awkward bathroom. It had lovely views though. But I wouldn't pay that much to stay there. Thankyou for sharing with us. Love to you as always Tracey 💕 xxxx
I agree with you for sure on this!
Hi Tim, it wasn’t tomato juice, that was purée tomato that you then spread onto your toast with olive oil and salt, it’s a traditional Spanish breakfast (my favourite). Great video and looks like a nice place to stay.
I know I'm an idiot lol
You forget the black and white pepper…
Best topped with Serrano ham 😋
it tastes so good on the bread
💕🤣😂🤣😂 I would have done the same! I learned something new today 😂🤣😂🤣💕
I binged all your videos since I found your channel. I work as a telehandler on a farm, so while working I always have your videos on. you have a great family and most importantly you're super likeable and I enjoy your content.
Wow, thank you!
You’re lucky you can drive a T/H and watch vids.
OMG, I'd faint looking at that view....how amazing..wow!
I would highly recommend The Hotel Canfali Hotel which is right to it. Gourmet food fabulous room and excellent staff. Going back April 2024 to celebrate my mother’s 100 th birthday😅
Yes it's my favourite in benidorm
Interesting what constitutes a 5 star in Benidorm probably wouldnt even get a 3 star in Marbella or St Tropez, just for example. A beautiful view can only go so far. Looks a bit like a diy dad did the rooms up there. Thanks for travels though, great to watch and learn.
That's why it's a boutique hotel furniture shabby chic
Infrared lights were very popular in the States in the 50s/60s. I remember them as a child. They were fantastic in the winter for warming yourself. I was surprised to see it there!
Yeah. I had some family that actually had one set up (cir. 1989 ish?). It's pretty nice tbh. A lot of hotels in Canada have or had them. The idea - from what I understand - was to dry off more quickly, and warmly. It's almost like heated floors, but from the ceiling, to give with you a warm ambience.
The views are definitely stunning but it does make me wonder about how the hotel ratings system works… I just had a weekend getaway at Palazzo Versace, also 5 ⭐️ but not particularly comparable lol
Another EXCELLENT hotel critique. You should definitely have your own TV show. Carry on the excellent work, can’t wait to watch the next one 👍👍👍👍👍
@18:20 Getting “eyed-up” by the seagull 😂🤣
The infrared warning lights were used in the “olden” days in the US in the 1940s up until the 1960s or so. Very common here.
The house my parents bought in the sixties the bathrooms actually had infrared lights and we loved them in the winter. They warmed up the whole room so instead of getting cold when getting out of the shower it was nice and toasty.
Infrared lights used to be very common years ago in North America. Lots of homes had them in the bathrooms and so did hotels/motels. I think they use them to dry off after bathing.
The infrared is meant to be a quick heating unit to take the chill off in a bathroom. Yes, quite common in older hotels and homes.
the kitty and the sea gulls would of been my favorite thing about that stay
Basic maintenance like a lick of paint on the furniture and keeping the carpets clean every now and again isn't a lot to ask at £200+ per night for one person.
However.
That view is stunning and the general vibe I got from the place was one of a decent hotel that just happens to be in one of those phases where the original fittings are close to end of life and a revamp should be around the corner.
Presuming thats the case I really quite liked it. I'm not convinced on some of the food but most of that depends on taste so there should be something on there to like and it seemed generally like a nice place to be.
You got some great shots of the place too. Most people would miss spinning around to show the church and town and quite a few wouldn't have got night time shots either.
Nice video.
Just to add…LOVE your video’s Tim & Gabby too, and always happy to see a new one pop up!❤️👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you
Theres no way I'd pay £214 a night there.
I totally need that round pillow!
Great as always, hilarious food review, please do more.
5 star ? I've been in airport hotels nicer than that. Ok, the view is great but I've seen 3 star Benidorm hotels with similar views from balconies. Thanks for sharing - now I know where not to stay when visiting Benidorm 😄 (By the way - LOVE your videos!!)
thanks :-)
Agree with you there! I wouldn’t stay I dont think, unless it was a much lower price(but even then?)
Oasis apartments have one of the best views in Benidorm and cheap too. We got a room for £180 for 4 nights.
The food had my mouth watering! Great video as always!!☀️🌴
Hi Tim , great video as usual , fantastastic ideas and views . Keep going
I think the shelf above the bed takes the place of side tables quite nicely.
Tim. It looks fantastic. The last time I visited Benidorm was with my late parents way back in the early 1970's. How it's changed! But you've just given me the incentive to go back and stay at this delightful hotel. Looks wonderful. Well done and I just love your video clips. Thank you.
wow yes I reckon you will see a big difference !
Don’t stay here! It’s stupid expensive and the whole place needs a makeover. There is a far superior 2⭐️ in the next street! Hotel Rocamar.
Or some really lovely places on or near the beaches. Hotel H10 Poniente for instance.
The ginger cat at the end 😍😍😍
I love your videos! They are the BEST!! Makes me really feel as though I am on holiday!!
You've never seen an infrared heat lamp before?
Guess I'm getting old, because they used to be quite common in hotel rooms (at least here in the states, anyway). And yes, they're EXACTLY the same as a restaurant heat lamp.
The only thing that says 5-star about the place seems to be the view. Shame there's no balcony. Compared to the Burj Al Arab, i mean..c'mon. No comparison.
I have in a restaurant lol
I agree. I'm actually disappointed that they've gone out of fashion. Nice and warm when you get out the shower and helps you to dry off quicker.
Hello Tim, another great video,it looks awesome especially from the window overlooking the beach.beach, hearing the sea probably wouldn't keep me awake.dinner seems looks nice.
Great video as always but not 5 star from the hotel.
No balcony, tiny room - iv travelled alot and nothing beats Antalya region hotels. Go there soon 😊
What a view beautiful. I would love that but what a small swimming pool
looking forward to watching it on my tv as one eye sight.😊
Love that view pretty amazing , we stayed in a boutique hotel in Nice had a real personal touch .
Odd with no balcony! Thank you for sharing!
Just found your channel Tim and its absolutely amazing. I love all your detail. Keep them coming ❤
Welcome aboard!
@@WalkWithMeTim Thanks Tim.
Great review Tim. Many thanks.
My pleasure!
Beautiful place..........nice video
Oh wow - not what I expected at all when you opened the door to that room. Also, WHAT a view!
Thanks Tim 🎉
looking forward to watching this! i love your videos! 😁
Thank you! 😃
Thank you for your review, that was extremely enjoyable and very informative as always. Senor, gracias!
My pleasure!
I've always wondered what this hotel was like so thank you!
Our pleasure!
Great video as usual Tim. Keep up the great work. Really enjoy these types of videos always looking forward to what coming next.
Thanks 👍
Benidorm. Stayed in one of the towers in the new end on a hen do. An apartment. The views were insane from the balcony. Sunrise was epic.
Gorgeous views from your hotel. Especially while eating dinner.
Have a great weekend.
💕the tube pillow is great during a light hearted pillow fight!💕
They had one of those water jets and stones in a spa I went to. They alternate between cold and hot water whilst you walk across the stones.
The infrared is used for drying! That is so cool! 😎
Love your videos Tim, only recently discovered them and currently working my way through them 👍🏻
Welcome aboard! ben
Hey!another perfect video!Really cool!Lovely hotel and you show it perfectly.Have grown to love your great personality! Also again you look perfect..terrific outfit..very fit and together..cool!
Your devoted fan from America
thanks Tricia
Love videos like this. More more!! I also enjoyed the budget Benidorm video too😊
Thank you!
@@WalkWithMeTim you're welcome! ❤️❤️
Another great and fascinating video Tim 👍 All the best from Stoke -on-Trent!
Thanks Wayne
I like your comments. Great job! Keep going ... 👍
Absolutely love your videos Tim 💕 Never been to benidorm.
The hotel looks like a 2 star 🌟 Disappointing pool. It was a small jacuzzi in a conservatory 😕
Can I suggest the Atlantica sensatori crete.
Beautiful 5 star experience with private or swim up rooms. Much love Alice 💕
Amazing as always
Thanks again!
Love 5 star Hotel, lovely views, l would love a Balcony room, room so sparkly clean,
Interesting side point, infrared in the bathroom used to be a thing in North American bathrooms 60's 70 ish. It was used to heat the bather, you could also get a tan underneath it AND...
..."infrared is a drier, purer form of heat that dries out walls from the inside, eliminating mould growth."
Visited Benidorm once, stayed in “grand Bali “ hotel, was quite nice there
Those tiny glass dishes with the lids,I want them😊!
Great vlog, thank you Tim
Glad you enjoyed it
The gated off steps are access to the beach from our apartment block apparently, never used them!
We love the way you make your videos Tim, especially all the detail you go into ..... it really is like we are there with you because we ALWAYS agree with your comments whether good or bad .... thank you!
I appreciate that!
Yes here here 💯🥂
Just looked up this hotel as we are thinking of Benidorm next year, but wow it’s very expensive for such a small room!!
Great video Tim you look so well stunning views the hotel looked very good standard lovely blue skies and ocean shame about the negatives much as gracious Tim ❤️❤️❤️😊
The view from your room took me back to 1973(yes I'm old!!) When I worked as a nanny in benidorm ... Happy memories 😂
Thanks Tim as always good video look forward to the next Yvonne 😊
Thanks 👍
Great job finding the crumblies. Seems picky but attaining a white glover level is desirable.
Tim I love watching your vlogs you are So good at this
It is a beautiful hotel and the view is stunning.
But then Tim, like I said before, if you go to Altea, you get a lot more space and a proper balcony.
It actually looks very similar to the hotel in Altea.
I wonder if they all have those coffee machines!.
As always a relaxing interesting watch. Thanks Tim.
Noted
Tim - if that is 5* they should be done for false advertising. Take out the view of the beautiful sea and that hotel is bang average. Also no balcony with the beautiful view is quite frankly criminal. Amazing content as usual.
its to do with amenities
As Tim says, star ratings are based on ameneties available to the guest, unfortunately. The Hilton Hotel in Gateshead is 4 star but it resembles a fairly basic business hotel from the 90s and I've hated staying there, then you have the Kimpton Clocktower in Manchester which is also 4 star but is incredibly nice.
Lovely room, the bolster I would definitely use to prop myself up when reading, the back of the bed is clearly cleverly doubles up as a bedside table… the Spanish don’t drink a lot of tea so that’s why the cups aren’t English sized but then you are in Spain… infrared light is a lovely touch used for comfort and well being…
Red heating lights in the bathroom were very popular in US hotels back in the day!
I liked the hotel Tim and would love to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. I always take my own mug when I go away as you can get a decent sized cuppa then!
So British…😂
I like my tea as well Tim, I brought a cup off the Transport Museum (I like the Underground &trains). It was really detailed but too small for my liking and I spent just over £10 on it. First things first is the size of the cup from now.
wow - nice camera work Tim. Don't usual comment but watch a bunch. Always great content.
I appreciate that!
The infrared light is and olschool thing for 1 drying your hair out a bit and 2 lightly working on your tan while getting ready for the day. Super weird. They also help fry the bathroom out
The bolster is always used by my sons to have Star Wars type battles with!
*Congratulations 190K*
Thank you so much 😀
Can’t wait to watch!
We had I think a 4star corporate hotel in Palma for a business weekend away. It was pretty good and had one of the best parts on the bay there functional meeting room for the 120 getting the business update etc on the Saturday morning. When personally going to Spain (once) while I didnt stay there I found that moving a bit inland there were decent small towns with probably small functional hotels that I would probably use as a base to tour ( we actually stayed in a compound near industrial valencia that some friends had , we ended up with a bat getting into the room and unable to get out (shouldnt have left the door open)
Liked and subbed, been watching your vids for a long time they randomly pop up now and again but didn't realise I wasn't subbed, you've got a great job!
Thanks for the sub!
Sea bass is lovely flavour. 😋
Shocking that such a place can be given a 5* even with those amenities. Would be good to see some all inc family holiday vids over the summer - strongly recommend TUI Magic Life Fuertuventura. Great Value. Aim for block 14 for an awesome wake up view!
Hello 👋 love your videos ,great presenting .
Lovely family 👪 ❤x
Thank you so much 🤗
I like everything, nice hotel.👍🏼👍🏼
Another excellent video, and a beautiful hotel room, with an amazing seaview
Would you say the seaview is on par with the Grand Hotel in Llandudno? No?
Some people are hard to please! lol
Been to flamingo oasis Lv it mad for sun beds tho but hotel Robin Hood just outside benny was amazing
Hello Tim, I love your videos. Just FYI, the tomato juice that they served in the breakfast is to spread over the toasted bread. We called “Pa amb tomàquet. You need to try it with serrano ham. It’s delicious 🤤
Thanks for the info! Epic fail 🤣
Oh gosh, and he drank it - hahaha, no wonder it tasted awful!
@@LittleKitty22it’s skinned grated fresh tomato… sweet and lovely.
A drizzle of olive oil on a bread roll and this on top- totally delicious.
@@alisonjackson5814 Wow that does sound delicious!
Wonder what they thought when he drank it 🤣🤣🤣
