An EMF Meter measure electrical current. The EMF is detecting the lamp being, outlets in the walls, the bathroom lights on, etc. that’s not ghosts. A flickering light could be million different issues with the light needing to be fixed, or the cord loose, or the bulb is loose……
i think it's a little sad that the motel was founded in honor of someone with a genuine love of clowns, but its current owners lean into the spooky clown vibes and paranormal activity. however, i suppose ghost hunters and horror buffs are a much more profitable market than clown superfans haha
There’s not really any other way to market a motel with thousands of clowns. Even with the original 160, it would have still been difficult if they were in a public space. It wasn’t the current owners who started it. It was the previous ones, and given what was said allegedly by the previous about difficulties, it makes sense why the current ones would use it more to their advantage.
I heard they tell these ghost hunters one price when they get there then change the price midway on them. And bc of that they're actually not doing so well.
I stayed a night in the IT room with my husband and a good friend two years ago. Nothing spooky happened, but the bed was comfy and we all loved the decor. The clown museum was really cool and the cemetery was very interesting to walk around. It’s a fun place. :)
I went to this place about a decade ago this place wasn't as themed as it is now. The new owners have done a really great job from what I've seen in this video.
Loving the American hotels series! Your sayings are so great. The spontaneous ‘blimey’ is my favorite. I heard you utter one on the Circus Circus video, rightfully so! Lol. Love the genuine honest reactions. Thanks Tim.
Exactly. I live in the Smokies of TN. Some of the motels from here to the flip side in Cherokee NC are absolutely creepy on their own. In Cherokee, the tourism basically stops after October so it's a sparsely occupied area through March essentially. Surrounded by those mountains, that's enough to unnerve anyone. Maggie Valley NC is the same nearby. The motels in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg off season are pretty much full of freaky locals with meth habits. Stay farrrrrrr away.

I woke up this morning in a Halloweeny mood and instantly went on to UA-cam to look for something spooky and I watched a video about this motel, and know you made a video on it, amazing !!!!
I really enjoyed this one! Tim you was brave enough to even book and stay here on your own, at least you tried to sleep here! A lot of us probably wont!
Tim, I live in Nevada and have been through Tonopah many times. I'm NOT afraid of clowns, but I have to admit that I walked in thinking to stay there... and walked out! The creepy clown vibe is something the owners cultivate but was a bit over the top for me. I see that you've already stayed at the Mizpah, it's our favorite stay location in Tonopah. Good video, I enjoy watching and adding destinations to my bucket list!
As soon as you opened the door, there was a creepy vibe, for sure. I wouldn't like to live there alone. The clowns aren't friendly looking. I love this video! Dont be embarrassed, its screaming haunted! The rooms have an unsettling atmosphere. Perhaps you didnt sleep well because a presence wanted you out of their space. You were brave to unpack your bags!!
Thanks for the chat with the current owners. I‘ve seen previous videos of the hotel, and it’s interesting how things have actually changed. IIRC, The previous owners didn‘t play up the scary clown bit - but it was still scary! :D
Gabby get Tim to say at the station hotel in dudley west mids. Full of ghosts there ghosts nights are great, going around dudley castel and then the hotel
Good grief - it's straight out of a Hollywood film, lightning included! It's wonderfully kitsch & creepy, stuck out in the desert, old cemetery...it's got such a vibe!
I thought the same thing. I don’t mean this to seem rude but it was pretty clear that this EMF guy has no real clue what he’s doing…. Or I guess on the flip side you could say he does and is actively trying to convince people through means that he knows are deceptive. Especially if he knows that the individual doesn’t have a clue on this sort of stuff. This isn’t me trying to be mean towards him. Seemed like an enjoyable guy, just I can’t look past red flags in what he’s portraying. And I get it, this is part of the marketing for the motel, but it becomes a problem for me when it feels like it’s being faked for profit. Another glaring issue, and maybe you can find stories on the internet, (I haven’t looked), but stories about it being haunted seem to have mainly become a thing after Ghost Adventures. They are notorious for faking things! I mean seriously, there’s an episode where he’s trying to get it on with a ghost 🤦♀️ and he’s made the claim that the beds found in storage at the Stanley Hotel where beds that people died on. It’s literally not factual at all!!! The point I’m getting at is it seems like the previous owners tried to take advantage of GA’s investigation but maybe didn’t know how to fully and the current owners are leaning more into it with the help of their hoteling knowledge. I can’t say I blame them. I don’t see another way to market a motel with clowns, scary or “not.”
18:06 when the man is talking about getting scratched I heard a sound, and at 18:25 when he’s shutting the door i heard a man yell😰 did anyone else notice this?
Fantastic video Tim. Loved Chris thought he was OTT but very entertaining. To be honest I get a bit freaked out when I'm on my own in a hotel with any sort of weird freaky art/paintings hanging on the walls so this would have completely been a lights on job for me. Don't blame you for staying in the car. Keep up the great work!
Wow Tim it really is a scary place I loved it when the hand moved when ghost Adventures was filming I've never seen Zac move so fast the graveyard does it for me though love it 😊😊😊
Love hotels with a theme like this. What makes someone think "I wanna open a clown hotel?" It's closed down now but they had a museum near me with over hundreds of teapots in it! Fascinating
Not the little girl in 208 saying “hello” at 20:31 and yes you can hear the man scream as they close the door to 108. I have full body chills and I’m not even done watching the video 😱😱😱
A lot of those rooms would look pretty charming if you took all the "evil clown" hangings and books out of them, and maybe fixed the creaking of the doors. Even most of the clowns in the collection room looked sweet; it's just the three or four evil looking ones that kind of ruined the mood for me..though I'm sure it makes it cool for those people that like to see that kind of stuff. As far as the chills and other sensations go, the tugging on the leg by invisible spirits-I tend to get those once in a while without even visiting any famously haunted place lol Maybe you just become more aware of them because the place has been labelled as haunted. Though I don't blame you for sleeping in the car-I would have just asked for the paintings to be taken down and turned around so I didn't have to look at them. The beds in those rooms did look pretty comfy. It's possible the spirits living there don't like the creepy looking pictures either and that's why they're so active. But that's just my theory about it.
It might have just been me but, that skull ornament looked like it had a camera lens in it. Also, the ball that the gentleman kept throwing on the beds is the same type of one that my grandchildren used to play with. . . It lights up and flashes when thrown around 😂
I traveled through Tonopah in December 2023, saw the mining museum. Nice folks there permitted me a self guided tour 30 minute before closure back then. I eventually drove past the Tonopah Test range to the Extraterrestrial highway sign 60 miles and stayed at the Best Western Hotel. I returned to the clown motel in the evening that day, it was eerie already from the outside. But it was the co-reason why I stopped over there. 11:58 If you want to you could go to the other side of the country, to Bangor Maine and visit King's villa and the cemetey inspiring King for writing I.T. The tall wood man is also there.
Great video and SOOO scary!! Did you hear the shouting/screaming from a man at 18:26 when you left the room? I had bad vibes as soon as you entered that room, I’m not surprised you slept in the car!!
I'm binge watching too! My son is with his dad for a couple of days and the weather is terrible, so, I'm travelling virtually with Tim and family LOL! I've been to Tenerife, Ibiza, Wales, Dubai and USA in a day 😂🤩
Great video Tim. I'd have rather of stayed in the room than in the car 😂 I do believe in the paranormal but that motel is just trying to create a spooky atmosphere. If it were a fairy themed motel then people would say they had seen fairies 🧚♀️ I so enjoy walking around cemeteries, reading the headstones and wondering what that person was like, what did they do for a living etc. To me it's like reading a biography. Looking for to some Halloween themed vlogs from you maybe?
My best friend was young then but her parents managed that hotel back in early-mid 90’s for a year. It wasn’t a clown hotel back then. It’s so nostalgic for her to see that. It was also on Ghost Adventures for a haunted investigation motel. She remembers stuff happening back then.
Interesting Vlog. Amazing Motel, very colourful, but for me it leaves me cold and would not be comfortable staying here. Not in my opinion a cosy vibe to it. Again well done Tim so good to see these different places. Another brilliant production
I stayed there right before the current owners took over. It was definitely in rougher shape then. We heard a weird scraping noise at our door around 9:00 pm. It was a couple of sketchy looking people prying the clown sign off of the door. They said they were doing maintenance. The rundown vibe it had added to the creepiness. But I’d rather stay there now. It looks nicer.
Great vlog Tim,wasnt too bad, some eerie looking clown pics, I wouldn't have slept in the room either, the bedding was really lovely and bright, thanks for sharing 😊
Hi Tim I was never frightened of clowns but now since watching the film IT & now this 😮I’d not even want one of those items in my home bad vibes !! No way would I have slept in there you’d still see the faces in the dark no way 😬you are brave Tim. I bet Gaby was glad she didn’t go 😬
This is a great video, at around the 18:25 mark as the owner shuts the door to room 108 a male scream can be heard. I'm not saying it's a ghost or anything like that, it's just weird.
I didn't stay here but I did visit the Museum and walked around the place. Nice and clean. Bought a couple of souvenirs and the next time I'm traveling to Vegas, I really need to spend at least one night there. And honestly, Hotels in Vegas can learn something from the Clown Hotel: Bring back the coffee pots and refrigerators into the rooms!
I'm not frightened of clowns, but i wouldn't stay in any of the rooms. Waking up to that horrid clown piccys definitely not for me. You certainly braver than me Tim.
Love all your videos sir, this was a whole new level. Terrified of clowns so I must be a sadist as I think I’d enjoy staying there 😂 The staff seem like great characters. Hard pass on The Exorcist room though - pure nightmare fuel right there. Thank you for upping the ante with every place you stay and you’re definitely not a sellout. We have self preservation instincts for a reason. I’m very sceptical too (even wrote a research paper on what happens to our brains when we think we experience an anomalous event like ‘seeing a ghost’) but I think I’d probably bottle it too 🤷🏻♀️
Hi Tim Love this is personally would not stay in there ever . Your a brave Man. The little ball the man was throwing around was one of them we used to play with. That man loves his job he really takes it seriously. Great vlog thanks for sharing with us. Love to you as always Tracey 💕 xxxx
Great stuff! There was definitely a creepy vibe about that room but I’ve felt like that in ordinary motels. I think it’s the lack of light and low ceilings and somehow they never feel particularly safe. But it may also be the thought that there may be a serial killer in the room next door 😮 Clowns don’t bother me but that room is definitely not going to give anyone a relaxing stay. I’ll be giving it a miss. 😂
I can't believe you would go there . All the luxury I see you enduring and you go there ! I've seen some nightmarishly scary vids about this location. Especially in that cemetery
I'm not going to lie, every time you said "I've got chills" I answered out loud "they're multiplying, and I'm losing control" (hopefully you get the reference, lol)
Excluding the clowns and creepy stuff, the motel actually seemed pretty alright! Compared to most motels in this country, it looked clean (from what I could tell), and fairly taken care of (except that vent fan. That needed to be fixed!).
I'd love to stay here! 😂 But tbh when you turned the bathroom light on I thought you put a music clip over it. It sounded like the music you hear before jump scares, then I realised it was the extractor or whatever 🤣🤦🏼♀️
OK, I do believe in spirits (kinda. I'm open-minded) - but even I'm a bit skeptical with some things. Like how the EMF went red...near the ELECTRIC LIGHT. And a light flickering - well, wasn't there a storm that night? And it's a motel in the middle of nowhere? Power's bound to have a few surges. I have to say, the second guy you talked to - he's a born storyteller, and that probably played on your mind overnight.
One thing that did freak me out, and this happened after I wrote that comment - at one point you were in the motel bedroom talking to the camera. Out of nowhere, the animals in my room went absolutely WILD. I have two budgies and a dog, and the budgies started squawking, yelling and flapping around the cage, and my dog went from lying quietly to sprinting out of my room as fast as he could. Now I'm not saying they sensed anything from a video, but I do wonder if some sound was picked up that's too high for us to hear, but not for birds and dogs. Might have to watch it again and see if they have the same reaction.@@WalkWithMeTim

Absolutely petrified of clowns but cant help but watch Tim. Another great video 🤗 thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
This is a great video, at around the 18:25 mark as the owner shuts the door to room 108 a male scream can be heard. I'm not saying it's a ghost or anything like that, it's just weird.
Yeah I heard that as well
I didn't stay here but I did visit the Museum and walked around the place. Nice and clean. Bought a couple of souvenirs and the next time I'm traveling to Vegas, I really need to spend at least one night there. And honestly, Hotels in Vegas can learn something from the Clown Hotel: Bring back the coffee pots and refrigerators into the rooms!
This video is so good, perfect time of the year for one of these videos!
There's something strange in the neighbourhood who you gonna call........... Clown busters. 🤡🤡🤡😂🤣
11:36 Tim frantically searching the drawers for the Bible to protect him from unwanted guests 😂
I thought there was something mentioned about spooky Clowns!
Unexpected surprise for this evening Tim 😃
I'm prepared to be spooked 👻
watch with the lights off ;-)
@@WalkWithMeTim Cor blimey Tim.
I don't think I'm that brave 🤣
lmfao@@gem7042
Great video! Love the creaking/squeaking of the door
I was waiting for this video to come since you’re in America 🎉
hope you enjoy it
@@WalkWithMeTimsorry couldn’t be able to watch the stream since I had to go to my sisters piano lessons but I’ll watch it now!
This is so cool! Great video Tim :)
Thanks so much!
I'm not frightened of clowns, but i wouldn't stay in any of the rooms. Waking up to that horrid clown piccys definitely not for me. You certainly braver than me Tim.
You're a good, patient interviewer. Unlocked a skill there!
Tim never disappoints.
22.46, something pulls up the man’s hat! Great content as usual by the way Tim, I’m a big fan of your channel!
I’m very sceptical too (even wrote a research paper on what happens to our brains when we think we experience an anomalous event like ‘seeing a ghost’) but I think I’d probably bottle it too 🤷🏻♀️
@18:25 ...A spirits foot crushed by the door?? 😂😂 It yelled "Awww'.
Good video Tim, as someone who struggles to believe in paranormal activity it does seem that they are trying to create a naritive for business
Exactly and gullible people will pay more money for a staying in what is barely a 2star property
But it may also be the thought that there may be a serial killer in the room next door 😮
Clowns don’t bother me but that room is definitely not going to give anyone a relaxing stay. I’ll be giving it a miss. 😂
Hell no to this one, Tim you have more guts than I do. Clowns are defo a no go for me. Love your vlogs. Keep them coming.
For the room that’s really warm without air con, it could do with a few ghosts to chill the room.
Tim found the perfect guide, he looks a tad like the gas station attendant from the film Wrong Turn. Brave man Tim:)
Struggling with this one Tim. I’m more listening than watching . Hate clowns so very much 🤮🤣
I can't believe you would go there .
I said the same when I was editing it ;-)
18:25 the man yelling wierd me out and the fact he just kept it moving 😂
Amazing videos :) at 18.28 did anyone hear that man yelling? Freaky
yes that was wired .. unless it came from another room
Excluding the clowns and creepy stuff, the motel actually seemed pretty alright! Compared to most motels in this country, it looked clean (from what I could tell), and fairly taken care of (except that vent fan. That needed to be fixed!).
A toothless hillbilly with keys to the room would be enough reason for me to sleep in the car.
Lol exactly, I was thinking "of course the ghost explanation guy looks like this"
Be nice!
@@percygsi like the movie Deliverance type of thing or the Hill have eyes? Wrong turn?
I'd love to stay here! 😂 But tbh when you turned the bathroom light on I thought you put a music clip over it. It sounded like the music you hear before jump scares, then I realised it was the extractor or whatever 🤣🤦🏼♀️
OK, I do believe in spirits (kinda. I'm open-minded) - but even I'm a bit skeptical with some things. Like how the EMF went red...near the ELECTRIC LIGHT. And a light flickering - well, wasn't there a storm that night? And it's a motel in the middle of nowhere? Power's bound to have a few surges. I have to say, the second guy you talked to - he's a born storyteller, and that probably played on your mind overnight.
yes agree with the EMF and said that but the light flicker the storm had passed and it did that later too
One thing that did freak me out, and this happened after I wrote that comment - at one point you were in the motel bedroom talking to the camera.
Update: Not the EXACT same reaction, but the birds were playing close attention the whole time you were filming in the PennyWise room. Interesting....
Wow the states really have everything, another brilliant video Tim.
Tim, I love your content but this episode was too much for me haha. love it though
Thank you for your honesty Tim, I wouldn't want to stay here either 😅 great video though 🙌
