    How important is the silicone grease to seal it? I missed that part!

    • @RobbsHomemadeLife
      @RobbsHomemadeLife  2 місяці тому

      If you got it back on you're good the grease just helps it snap back on

      @@RobbsHomemadeLifethat is great. I didn't want to have to take it off again to apply the grease! I love your video and my watch works perfectly. May have saved $80 Australian Dollars by not having to send it to the service centre!

    Thank you for this! I've replaced one in another polar one but this was useful to check it was a similar process for the ft1 before I do it.

    Firstly remove strap, then clean watch with q-tips with alcohol, then unscrew screws, remove plastic bezel and clean it, remove metal caseback, put it away and clean it, then remove gasket clean it and lubricate witch silicone oil. Then finaly take care of empy battery and replace it. After repleacing assemble back your timepiece. This video is how to not change battery in a watch, do not follow the path shown in wideo.

      @Egmont For me it does not matter if i work on 1$ or 10000$ item in either case i tend to make job done properly. Besides marking something improperly for yourself is fine for me, but showing that for others that can make something wrong is no go scenario. As long you harm yourself it is fine but if your action make other harms themselves it is not.

    do NOT use a tiny phillips!!! Use the correct size torx bit (#5 in this case). Hex or phillips will only damage the screw heads and you will hate yourself later when they finally get rounded out completely
