First time to your channel and just got a A9II at a great price because the person was going for the A1. Appreciate you sharing your experiences

Spot on with your assessments regarding the camera and nice work on the video Liam! Glad you moved over to mirrorless, I figured you were going to like it. 🤘

Im glad I found you, I actually found shadow and highlight recovery to be a small issue as I came from a7iii which has 2 more stops of dynamic range. I set my zebras to 107+% and learned to nail exposure with that. I don't use the light meter at all. I shoot the same sort of things you do albeit not as well up here in Banff.

Liam, you nailed the review. I’ve been shooting motocross for two years with the A9II and love it. When the A1 came out, I shot it for six months and went back to my trusty A9II. I found with the A1 that my percentage of acceptably sharp images went way down. It was suggested the higher pixel density caused the sensor to be more sensitive to motion blur. End result I had to push up the shutter speed. On bright sunny days, not a problem, on a cloudy day or with less than ideal sunlight I couldn’t drop the shutter speed without getting the motion blur.

@Liam this is more than enough. Love it! And yes a1 is a beast yes but I think it’s too much too.

The a9ii does have the shutter close when changing lenses.

There is a UV filter to protect the sensor, Kase Clip-in. In addition they carry clip-in ND filters for most A7, A9 cameras. There is no discernable color shift or sharpness degradation. They're great for video or landscapes. I got mine for blowing sand abatement.

Hello Liam first time on your channel, good video. Like Karl said you have the option to close the shutter, if you don’t there is à Firmware Version 2.0 , it’s refreshing to see videos who are not to technical . Keep up the good work.

power on lag is lens dependant. Sigma lens adds half as much time again to first focussed shot

Just came across your site - nice review of the A9ii and great images! What focus mode do you use...Wide or Wide Tracking etc?

Hello... I had a question. A9ii is supposed to be super fast with its AF. Does the Sigma telephoto lens perform better on it than it would on a Sony A7iii?

I wonder if the 24mp sensor is enough to crop the images of wildlife? After my A99II I'm a bit confused.

my mom recently bought this camera and I was wondering if you could flip the camera so you can see yourself and not have to take pictures of yourself by looking at the lense.
