(2024 update) Tra-Tel is currently closed. However, we are leaving this video on UA-cam because it's also about our first time staying in an RV park long-term. (2022). For more on Tra-Tel RV Park, check out: www.classcbroads.com/blog/tra-tel-rv-park-in-tucson-arizona
@@ClassCBroads nice, it was definitely a resort and also had fruit trees. Very family friendly and a lot of kids which isn't appealing to us but not too bad. We stayed 2 weeks up at Picacho Peak also, and that was way better.
@@stuwardw Thanks for the info on Picacho. We didn't make it up there, but drove by it several times. Also, we saw just a couple of kids during our stay at Tra-Tel. To our knowledge, it's not an official 55+ park, but it certainly had that vibe.
I am so sad to hear that Tra Tel RV Park has closed! We stayed there six months. I think that was 12 years ago. It was not a fancy place but we liked to feel! We are more into somewhat primate desert life. I feed the gambrel quell while we were here. I really enjoyed feeding them! I put insulated bootys on my golden retriever’s feet due to the hot pavement! I still have cactus that the park manager gave me.
Sorry they closed about a year ago right around you left maybe I don’t know, but they closed the vacant lot next-door. The new owner sold it to them. I was there to the closing.
So sad. We really liked that RV park and our time there. Thanks for letting us know. (PS: I'm going to keep the video up because it's also about our experience staying some place long term, which ultimately lead us to full-time).

Glad you have such great memories of the place! We obviously do too ;-)
