Did you make this video specifically to make the process of using a pass more complicated? Because if you did, you succeeded. Although I'm sure it all makes perfect sense to anyone who already understands the system.
@Harry Smart. Yes, I understand the frustration, but I can assure you that once you hold on to finding out about how the system works, and this takes time and patience, the pieces of the puzzle will fall into place. I myself needed to invest some time before understanding it all. When I'm not a regular traveller abroad. When you don't count your hours of investigating as money value, the prices of travelling by train with an Interrail pass are worth working for. 1 happy detail I found out, is that I can now travel by train all the way to Lissabon. But to each of us it's a separate detective journey, I assume. 😉🖐🧙♀
i was also frustrated when i saw first time. I am ui / ux designer. I thought if i don't understand nobody understand. after one night struggling, finally i understand this system. but i will suggest you going to international desk of the train station close by you. they can help you if you still don't get it
Doesn't tell me (if it did it went too quickly) how to add a journey to My Trip which has been booked directly with the train company rather than via the app.
Hi if i am travelling from Glasgow to London and then from London to Paris on the same day, then the following day going from Paris to Barcelona staying there for 10 nights then doing the same journey on my way back would a 4 day 1 month global pass cover this?
Does anyone know how to get a refund? I can't. I contacted support. They told me that my ticket is refundable and that I just need to cancel it. I did it but I still can't refund it.
Hi there! You can't add a Paper (physical) Pass to the App. Please visit our page to understand more how to use the Paper Pass on www.interrail.eu/en/interrail-passes/what-is-interrail/how-use-your-interrail-pass If you need some assistance, please feel free to contact our customer service team. We hope it helps! 😊
Oh my, my former comment is removed, how silly and unhelpful. Commenters here are able to help out too, you see? Out in the open, or is being told about complex and confusing details isn't welcome? In the meantime, I received a speedy response to my questions, about using an Interrail pass, traveling for free in a train, or pay for a train-ticket as well. It's now clear that seat reservations are in fact the equivalent of a train ticket, so that those costs are added to the price of the Interrail pass trip of the chosen number of days. When this comment is removed also, I shall know how the land lies with the Interrail moderators.
Why don´t you show the whole process or at least give som information on what to when you are requested to add a Trip? You did just show the 1 of 3 steps . . . and I do not want to add a trip as I´m not traveling until July.
Hello! You first create a trip, you connect your pass and then you add journeys to travel. The pass can be connected only to one trip and there you are going to activate all your travel days, not in different trips. If you need more information or assistance, please contact our customer support!

This terrible "instructional" video is as bad as the online page. So unimpressed with the entire process.
@interrail can you help ?
