I remember being really excited to stay in a hostel for months because it was going to be a really new experience for me and I was ready to meet lots of new people :)
Can someone explain me how to actually make reservations for trains? Especially the ones that aren't included in the pass and you need to pay some extra money for. Thank you😊
For trains that aren't included in the pass you will need to buy a seperate ticket on the site of the operater or national railway. You can book a seat reservation on the inter/eurrail site.
Well... As a public transport nerd, I think I'll quietly disregard your point about walking everywhere. My trip is going to be as much about seeing the good and the bad of (Western) Europe's public transport as it is about seeing the city said systems serve. Otherwise, these are some really good tips that I'm sure I'll be taking heed of.
Great video! I’m thinking of going in 2022 and was wondering about the application process like. What are the questions like on the discoverEu application.
Im totally agree with u bcs that Amoun of overpreparing is horrible but alsa I have a question have to play this trip in that way if I would like to stay longer in some town so I could allow myself for it?
Hi! I want to apply but i dont know what to answer to the question “how many people are going to apply this year” like what? Wtf do I know? It is known that the chosen are 60,000 people, but it is not known the number or requests! Thanks
Hello :) I have a question, do you know when the next round of DiscoverEU applications will start? Because I was born on 12th December 2002 so I turned 18, but I don't know when applications can be send (or if they can be send?).. I was wondering if you'd know that, it would help me very much 🙏
Ohh good question! I’m not sure but hopefully they will do a round in summertime for autumn/winter? It will just depend on Covid Im afraid because they did like 4 rounds when I was 18! Hope this helps! :)
@@Lea_sk1212 we’re triplets♐️!! I just got through with my application today! Also planning on travelling this year!! Best of luck trying to figure out the trains! That’s the next step XD
On the Inter rail website, on the railway map, it shows that I can’t go straight from Malaga to Valencia, instead I have to go manage to Madrid to Valencia. Do you have to change trains in Madrid, or is it just a stop on the route to Valencia?
Spain has a terrible train system from the south from my memory! Alicante, Valencia, Barcelona and Madrid are very well connected, but Malaga is harder to get to!
Hi Lucy, just wanted to say that this video is very inspirational to me. Anyways, if possible I would like question you something. About travelling on a budget, do you think it’s a good idea to travel with solely a carry on backpack? Cause most travel backpacks take more than the standard volume of a carry on backpack (40x30x20). Should I try taking for instance, clothes for half or a third of the days, so I don’t have to pay an extra charge for extra volume? (I’m talking about 2 weeks on a mild temperature countries, and sorry if this is too specific)
Honestly from late July to August it’s definitely harder to leave plans chilled as hostels sell quickly but in the other months it’s totally possible 😌
Hi! Just won the pass with some friend. Thinking of traveling in the summer to Italy Croatian Slovenia etc. Do you have tips on interrailling during covid? Love from Portugal
hi, nice vide, i won the pass this year, i really look forward to do it, but i am confused by the roaming stuff, i am from italy and my provider allows me to use a maximum of 4 gb of internet in roaming outside italy, but that is actually too little, i think that during the trip looking on google maps or using internet in general is almost mandatory (also to let my parents know i am fine) , how did you managed it ? the only option would be to buy a sim card of every country but it would be too expensive for me, thanks in advance
Hi Lucy, thank you for all your really helpful videos as I plan my interrail trip! I'm assuming your also from the UK using my accent geo locator (scotland?), a question I haven't been able to find out about it how cross country travel works now we are out of the EU - do we need visa's for every nation we visit? thanks if you have any information on this!
"During my Interrail I always booked with hostelworld around 3 months in advance in order to stay at the best hostel :)" says the description. But in another video u said, that u never booked from Hostelworld, you just looked up the Hostels there and then booked directly? Do you just lie in the description so that people use your affiliate code?!?
What are you most excited about for your interrail ? :)

I put 60,000 as I think I mis understood the question, I think it was meant to be a guess though and was ranked by how close you got to the answer x

You recommend to leave some days open. But I am thinking there would be less choice in hostels, if I would book last minute. Is that true?
