The soft bait formulation works great for house mice. As you can see the wax coated hard bait formulation is less appetizing.
However, I do like using the hard bait for field mice - especially on the exterior as a prevention.

I’ve been in the pest control business for over 37 years. It’s good to hear some common sense. Never plug the holes till the problem is resolved. Kinda like deer hunting, you put your stand near a trail.

That has been my question also, about the hole. I would think that sealing the holes first, sounds logical. Keep more mice out, take care of the ones you have already. But because they're in the house already, they may make new holes for getting out, which we won't see/know where they are and that will be even worse!
