Sad to see this.
Look at 1:30 - 1:32 in the slowest two speeds. You can see the truck was on fire, before the explosion happened. You see the afterburners, then it catches on fire, then it passes the explosion. Also Chris new something was wrong, as one of the brake chutes gets deployed, just before the fire.
This is not a dig, but why didn't they take an ejection seat when they sourced the jet engine?
RIP Chris Darnell...such a terribly sad accident...and condolences to his family and friends...and all that witnessed the event.
Unfortunately when such an on the edge specialty event such as a jet truck come unravelled...it does so in such a terribly shocking way 😢😢😢😢
Can only hope that Chris did not suffer throughout the accident.
A very sad raise of the glass to Chris from Sydney Australia!!!!!!
Not really sure how anyone could be confused as to what happened
I'm watching this on UA-cam and I knew right off that bat that the truck had wrecked and the driver was hurt bad so I can't understand how someone watching it live didn't know what was going on,I'm amazed at the lack of reasoning in society today
Have you seen this even in person? So much goes on that it would be easy to get confused. I wasn’t at this one but I have been to them almost every year. What I don’t understand is how so many people can be so judgmental these days. If you weren’t there then why even comment!! No one needs your judgmental comments when our home town loved one just died! Get a grip!
I watched this crash live and was not confused. When it was rolling and tumbling on fire we knew that it was not planned.
good for you that still doesn’t mean that everyone else wasn’t confused.
Just seen it the truck slid sideways about 2-300 feet before he went into the flames
R.I.P. CRIS.
Barrel rolling at 300 mph. Tragic... RIP
Pyro had nothing to do with this tragic accident. The truck was skidding sideways before it even got that far. Fire billowing out of the 3 jet engines and the chrome stacks is part of the show. I'd say he blew a tire, but the question is why?
