Amiga top games
Amiga 500
Commodore - Ігри
UFO Enemy Unkowm FTW. The best game ever from MP.
For me, Microprose is the best simulator and strategy company in the 80's / 90's. I have all the titles. Thank you for this video.
UFO Enemy Unknown - best game of all time.
Had most of those back in the day. Spanning the zx spectrum /c64/cpc464/St/a1200 and finally the pc
I owned everyone of these games except for Tower of Babel (I don't remember that one at all). I have recently started to recollect a few choice games for my Amiga, and have F15 Strike Eagle II and F1GP (I have the American version called World Circuit) and have my eye on several more, but Microprose seems to have a majority.
Some games seem to have had their original speeds increased. The Grand Prix game, for example, actually runs at a much lower frame rate on a standard Amiga 500. It would be nice to put in which setup these captures were made.
You are right, some games have been sped up so that the video is not very long. I think it is a good idea that in case it has been accelerated it is indicated in the game. I have some videos published in private mode to make it public this vacation, but the new videos that I make after vacation I will indicate it. Thanks for your comment
F-117, F-19, F1 Grand Prix, Knights of the Sky...and Microprose Golf. All amazing games that gives me so much joy :)
"Civilization" is probably the best game of all time.
... and Sid Meier a Genius !! :-)
"Incognito" in Pirates looks suspiciously like Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid.
I have searched for it on the internet and ... I think you are right! hehehe
Oh , the amount of hours I’ve spent playing Formula One Grand Prix , Knights of the sky , Pirates and Silent service II.
Good old days when visuals weren’t everything
Love me Silent Service II, F1, Gunship. F15 Strike Eagle was my first ever flight sim and it was pretty awesome considering c64 as was Silent Service. These frame rates definitely weren’t an Amiga.
oleeee muy bueno el video ya me queda menos para volver a jugar a todos jejejej un abrazo alex
My favs off this list where Formula One Grand Prix & Gunship 2000
My favs TOP 5 is: Civ & Formula One Grand Prix & Gunship 2000 & Silent Service II & F-19 Stealth Fighter.... :-)
awesome, loved the flight/jet sims on the amiga shame that i never tried f117 and f19
...... It's not too late to play them ... :-)
Cool video bro! Doesn't make me feel younger though...
Remembering Amiga games is remembering good times!
And I think I have a Peter Pan complex ... :-)
@@Harkonnen75 Hope the future line up we have with the other bros under the reborn MPS label will meet your expectations, although I can't guarantee our game will run on an Amiga ^^
I came from a post in the publisher discord btw, don't hesitate to come & say hi!
"...the reborn MPS" >> Good News!!!!
"....I can't guarantee our game will run on an Amiga " >> Ohhhhhh :-)
"...don't hesitate to come & say hi! " >> Yeah... of course! :-)
I just subscribed to your channel !!! Let's goooo! :-)
Formula 1 grand prix was running a little slow on Amiga 500. The atari st version was a little smooter. As I remember 😉
Yes. It was very slowly on an Amiga 500 even with the 1MB expansion ... but what a great game !!
I played at a friend's house with a car steering wheel joysticks and it was incredible !! :-)
3D games were a bit faster in general on the ST with it's ~8Mhz CPU vs the Amiga ~7Mhz. On the Amiga many games struggled to reach double digits in the FPS so the 2-3 extra FPS definitely made it feel smoother. Of course most 3D games scaled with the CPU, so upgrading the CPU was fantastic, it's a pity more people didn't do it.
it ran rather well on my amiga 1200 with fast ram, great game
@@daishi5571 what was the sound like on the st🤣
@@si4632 The biggest problem they had with sound on the ST is when they tried to copy what was being done on the Amiga. I have heard a few decent tracks on the ST (I'm not a big chiptune person) and even sound effect in game, and when targeted for the ST it worked, but as soon as they tried to do Amiga style music and sound effects it was mostly horrible.
Before I got my A1200 (with acceleration later) I had an A500 but my friend had an accelerated A500 and F1 along with many 3D games was fantastic on that.
I never played much of the more complex sim games because I was intimidated by the learning curve. It would have been different if I knew someone else to show my the ropes, or in the modern age when UA-cam videos can show how to do stuff.
The look of allocating scientists to research makes me think ... maybe I could make a game where you have to do research and stuff to defeat the aliens. And also you can go around shooting stuff, but this actually has no effect on the outcome. The research bunkers are heavily defended by thickets of sentry guns and mazes of blast shields, so the aliens never stand a chance of successfully taking them all out in time. But it's fun to go and blow up aliens!
Yes. Playing simulators on the Amiga in the late 80s and early 90s was not easy.
I had an Amiga 500 with 1MB of RAM, nothing more.
The simulators of Planes, Submarines ... They were very, very slow ...
Also, with the exception of the game 688 Attack Submarin. All the games that I had were NOT original... and without a manual it is more difficult to take off and fly a plane: Patience and time ... :-)
I also remember another space simulator: Shuttle ... it was impossible ... very slow and never took off from the ground ... it had all the controls of a space launcher and it was crazy!
"... But it's fun to go and blow up aliens!" >> YES!! :-)
@@Harkonnen75 learning without manual was part of the fun :P at least you paid the game and you had everything on it, unlike nowadays with dlc and whatnot
Ufo and Colonization I Play today
Anyone remember Bazooka Bill?
No doubt: Civ and Grand Prix best games ever
Hear hear
No Microprose Golf?
ohhhh ... I haven't played it.
I just watched it now and it looks like a good game ...and yes, it should be on the list!
Thanks for your comment! :-)
@@Harkonnen75 No problem. It was one of my favourite games back in the day.
@@Harkonnen75 it was the first game I thought of 😢
