Actually the hempcrete insulation caught my attention... Being able to grow your own insulation for your home is an attractive opportunity. My only question is how well that would work in northern climates like Minnesota... Where double digit below 0 and Triple digit above 0 temperatures are not uncommon....just make it thicker??
"ShelterMode" 😃Thank you for this information👍 "When the student is ready the teacher appears"! I was looking for the exact information your video provides. Thanks again!
Thanks for the compilation of all the various insulation materials. Having more alternatives to consider besides the usual fiberglass or spray foam is interesting. Hempcrete looks good
A tad difficult to see how rammed earth marries with shipping containers. And if you could manage rammed earth why would you have any need for shipping containers - they are not even in the same league.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Excellent Content. I had never heard of Rammed Earth. I LOVE ALL these Insulation Materials except for Styrofoam. Warmly, Lay Chaplain Kelly Chase
Which alternative materials would you prefer?
I like the styrofoam method but how reliable is it in a northeast climate

hempcrete looks amazing
Issues for container is condensation and thermal bridge.
It will be a win if these 2 issues get solved.

very useful information.
Which material will be good for very noisy environment. Equally important my container home is near the railroad tracks.
This is very informative and helpful.
For the styrofoam panels do they have to each be cut to fit in between each wall rib? Or are there kits that are already pre cut?

How about the cement for insulation??

I love the brick walls
I love the voiceover.
How if we use bamboo as heat insulator?
Brick on the outside with EPS on the inside (between the ridges) would this stop the condensation/moisture problem?
Container home bueatiful
Thank you
American uses brick to line shipping container walls.
European looks at it, shakes his head and builds a brick house.
You will never be able to sell a shipping container house for the amount you spent to build it so why bother.
