Y’know, Im not too upset about the overworld art style. But if they’re gonna zoom in on the characters so often I probably would’ve preferred the more modern style
I love the fact you take the time to explore the cities and buildings by just engaging with the folks. It makes the viewer feel like they aren't missing out anything too crucial.. if that makes sense.

This remake did add a lot of speed up mechanics to make the game much faster and easier than the original. One wouldn’t imagine finishing in 14-15 hours on the originals.

I'm skipping through and I'm noticing a pattern of the devs giving type-damage-reduction berries to Pokémon with x4 weaknesses.
A Wacan berry on Cyrus's Gyarados, and a Yache berry on Cynthia's Garchomp, for example. An interesting way to balance the fights.

you can catch palkia really easily with a quick ball. save the game right before facing palkia, and then throw a quick ball right away. if you dont catch it, restart game and try until you do. took me only 2 tries. save the masterball for cresselia
So do we just throw quick ball at the very beginning? Not fight it at all?
@@baohoang7479 yes, that is the only way quickballs work. i caught every legendary with the game with them. just save right before any legendary encounter so you can restart game if you dont catch it in the 1st throw. (quickballs only work on the first throw)
Good to see someone who beat the game without using legendaries and mytichals Pokemon.
The game is easy enough. Therefore I decided to use only Gen4 pokemon and no legendaries to make it more fun to watch.
As someone who just played the original Diamond and Pearl I say this game is slightly harder. Gardina laid waste to my team with her Roserade using Grass Knot, Maylene Lucario forced me to level grind, and Cynthia is much more equiped for modern Pokemon mechnics.
I only had trouble with gardenias lucario so far but I agree it can be pretty tough especially early game. I'm about to do the 7th gym soon in snowpoint.
This game is harder, especially the post game elite 4. I hwrd trouble with maylene and the elite 4
haven't done post-game yet but that garchomp sword dance combo got me when facing the champion had to redo that one to get it down lol
Platinum was the first game I owned personally so the Sinnoh region will always be #1 to me
I usually RIP on the new gen players , but I'm glad you at least found home to a region I find alien .

And consider pallet town my origin

Diamond and Pearl is not that long
It can be done in around less than half a day or more for most me around 20 but that isn't counting like other legendaries just dialga so 14 is rushing it quite a bit anything is possible with practice considering I beat Cynthia I'm also sad no mach punch!?
Wait, is there no new form for Dialga/Palkia? I thought there would be, but I guess not, or we'll have to wait for some kind of DLC announcement...

I ended my playthrough this year when I caught the Regi trio. This was an awesome game.
Still a great Pokémon game! I don’t care about the character design we’re so cute and not adult like, you know that other Pokémon games and shows are cute and cool because of Mario and Zelda even Kirby lol
Pokemon has NEVER been for adults, there are a lot of things they have taken out of production to be "family friendly" like Charmender accessing cigarettes with his tail or Team Rocket with whips, there would be a thousand things to say to regard.
The problem is not the graphics, which you may like or not, but the fact that it is literally a copy (said by Gamefreak among other things) of the 2006 game, so no it's not a "Great Pokemon game" is just a ramake to get a few million extra bucks ...
But you have Pokemon fans that's okay so grab another game, obviously insufficient for 2021, and play it! (Said by a Pokemon fan huh). Now you just have to hope that Pokemon Archeus Legends is better than this stuff, but from the trailers it doesn't look like, yes they have made it more adult (which is lucky because they realized that the Average Pokemon fan is over 18), but in this case the problem is the graphics that are too far back in our times, just look at Monster Hunter running on SWITCH with a godlike graphics.

I don’t understand why people hate on this design. I like it better than Sword and Shield, its like classic Pokemon. I just wish pokemon were visible in open world, the lack of it is a dealbreaker for me.
@@zabaione985 True lol ever since SWSH, Ive learned to keep my expectations low for Pokemon games to which TPC still cant meet.
This version isnt bad by any means, its actually really good. But its kind of a disappointment compared to what most of the community expected and the potential it had on the new platform.

garchomp is a sweeper. you need glaceon with ice beam to defeat it along with a never melt ice. other pokemon dont have stab ice beam.

I don't know if I'm overleveled or what, but I noticed at the Cynthia champion battle his Infernape was level 62. I'm currently on my way to finding the sixth gym leader and my Infernape is level 59... Maybe it's 'cuz I purposely run into every trainer and battle every wild Pokémon that I come across.
Dang I battle every trainer and was no where near that over-leveled. You must spent a lot of time underground.
@@mariowalker9048 I only went underground once, and that wasn't even exploring around... I mean I do explore every little corner aboveground, so I end up in wild grass patches a lot.

What I hate about this game is that exp is just given to each party member. Sure, there was exp share/all, but still that gave much less exp per battle.
New players especially miss the classic grind, and satisfaction of actually training their pokèmon.
Some people actually don’t like to wasting our time grinding like madlads lol

The only shocking change is the grand underground, they also made the trainer AI a little better and gave items to the major opponents and the post game was expanded with Ramonas park and rematches with gym leaders. Sadly they removed battle frontier though

Nintendo/Pokemon had advertised this quite a while back before the release of these games on their socials. Twitter, Facebook, UA-cam, etc. If you have Let's Go Eevee or Pikachu save data, you get a Mew. If you have Sword or Shield save data, you get a Jirachi.
They should have remastered Pokemon Platinum, since it is far better than the other games of the 4th gen.

This is the content I was looking for, but I did check on multiple sites prior to this and reviews tend to be pretty mixed.
