There is no logical integer limit that stops at exactly 1M AFAIK. It's probably just in game code that says if money is >= 1M, set it to 999K etc... Changing the data type wouldn't be reasonable. And besides, since its a shop menu, it probably has no item attached to it and at most will just take your money.

adding one new expensive thing. "the glamours jinbei" from Pokemon Scarlet/Violet Shrine side quest in the new Teal Mask DLC. You don't buy the outfit...you "donate" 1million poke dollars to fix up a busted shrine that housed 3 legendary pokemons (spoilers warning so i won't go into detail) so you pay up 1 million and the head monk of the shrine says thank you and gives you the outfit.....1 million pokedollars for a Jinbei XD
