  • A study of Marc Chagall's "I and the Village" currently at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), New York City. Chagall was a modernist master, one who fused Cubism, Symbolism, and Fauvism and laid the groundwork for Surrealism. He is one of the most significant artists of the 20th century and his oeuvre is a depiction of all that he loved, and his mastery of color.

Years ago, my sister was studying costume design at NYU. Oliver Smith of the ABT was one of her teachers. Every so often, he would mention his friend Mark, the painter. They assumed he had a friend who painted houses. At graduation, he held a party at his home. It was full of Chagall paintings. Mark the painter was Marc Chagall.

I liked the analysis of the content, but the music was real distracting and a bit to loud.

Did your mother never teach you that if you have nothing nice to say don’t say anything at all? What an inappropriate and pointless comment you have left for someone who made an effort.
