Marc Chagall: A collection of 227 works (HD)
Description: "Marc Chagall was born in Belarus in 1887 and developed an early interest in art. After studying painting, in 1907 he left Russia for Paris, where he lived in an artist colony on the city’s outskirts. Fusing his own personal, dreamlike imagery with hints of the fauvism and cubism popular in France at the time, Chagall created his most lasting work-including I and the Village (1911)-some of which would be featured in the Salon des Indépendants exhibitions. After returning to Vitebsk for a visit in 1914, the outbreak of WWI trapped Chagall in Russia. He returned to France in 1923 but was forced to flee the country and Nazi persecution during WWII. Finding asylum in the U.S., Chagall became involved in set and costume design before returning to France in 1948. In his later years, he experimented with new art forms and was commissioned to produce numerous large-scale works. Chagall died in St.-Paul-de-Vence in 1985. "

Chagall reveals a deeply romantic self in his art, as well as many other personal aspects, in which perhaps he identified as specific animals. It could be said that to gaze at one of his paintings is to "enter the dream".
Thank you for your wonderful channel in which we really can learn from the Masters.🎨
My dear brother Benjo just passed away today on the 24th of May 2020 . All of a sudden while on UA-cam searching for some movies , this incredible amazing great works video of Marc Chagall pop 'd up which is one of Benjo's favorite artist . Call it ESP or what he made me feel & realized the connection .
Outstanding! Chagall's work was not concerned with scale, proportions or shading. However the dreamlike quality totally captivates the viewer.
He is remarkable. Ecstatic moments do seem to abandon the laws of gravity. Thanks for doing this
He says he liked using a lot of colors
Yea me too. I like to use a lot of colors.
Absolutely transcendent and magical. I missed a few of his paintings here, but this collection is adorable. It’s no wonder it is his canvas which was chosen for the outstanding ceiling of the Garnier Opera in Paris
Marc Chagall once said that "the dignity of the artist lies in his duty of keeping awake the sense of wonder in the world."
Thank you for posting!
This is just incredibly beautiful…thank you for uploading

It helped me a lot in making the Chagall video. thank you.
glorious. thank you!!
My sister studied costume design at NYU back in the 70’s. One of her teachers was Oliver Smith, designer for the ABT and the New York City ballet. He won Oscars. Every so often, he would mention his friend Mark, the painter. They all assumed he had a friend Mark who painted houses. When they graduated, with their MFA’s, Smith had a party at his home. It was filled with Chagall’s. His friend Mark the painter was Marc Chagall.
reminds me Jhoan Roa painting when he was a child. so lovely
C’est un diaporama magnifique ! Je vous remercie.

Grande, grazie.
샤갈그림은 영혼을 들여다 보는 듯 몽환적이라 훅 지구를 떠나 우주에 존재하는 착각을요👍
Excelente.
Recuerdo muchos cuadros de este gran pintor ruso-judio cuando estuvo en México hace ya muchos años atrás... en el Museo Rufino Tamayo... tenía quizá unos once o doce años de edad...
Wow
The innocence of a pure childhood that is seeing through the eyes of a wise and creative intelligence. I’m glad his foray into cubism didn’t last. He was brilliant at it, but it wasn’t him. Excellent choice in music. I felt like I was floating in one of his paintings. Would someone please tell me who the composer and or pianist is?

Chagall was a good painter but very over rated
TOTALLY CRAP.
I think his paintings are terrible, I have no idea how he managed to become so famous, looking at his works gives me anxiety
