Great bike the 2022 model
Its built fully in india
[ 1:20 :] "Not a whole lotta horsepower." Yikes, where are you gonna get more than 44hp out of 373cc's? (Royal Enfield's 350 makes 20hp, for instance) I think it's a fantastic little thumper!
My Indian dealer has them also. Now I wanna go look at it closer in person.
Good stuff man
Lucky!
I believe it has a quick shifter
yes, the latest one does. (from 2020 or 2021)
Nice review. I had a Suzuki DR650 single and I loved that bike. I could see the value of this as an around town, curb jumping with a side of gravel and dirt fun bike
My thoughts exactly. This thing was made for terrorizing sidewalks and back alleys hahaha!
Nice
Some of the most fun I've had is on a 250 Virago. Let someone else ride the 109 and I rode the 250. It was so much fun to rev it out without consequence, lol. Also, the 109 has a pass light 👏
Yes! I love small engines. And of course Suzuki is ahead of the game.
When you get a Shift Light at 6500/7000 rpm... you are in the "Break In Period". Sorry for my Englisch, I am from Belgium :-).. But I own this bike and after 1000km you get +3000 rpm! (The settings change after connecting to the Husq computer) Its a really fun bike!!!!!
What you mean connect to the husq commputer?
@@xXKrisKringleXx an official dealer has got a official Husq license to change the onboard computer settings from the bike. Here he can change the max. alowed RPM's.
@@PDSOUNDS you can change it your self after riding 1k km on that torchy bastard 6.5 to 9k rpm flash light...
*changes lane* - “turning’s not bad” 😂😂
Right? Unfortunately they don't let test rides go on Tail of the Dragon lol
InvictvsNox I know, I’m just messing around. I liked the video mate :-)
Thanks for your review!! You can't imagine how many Svartpilen reviews I've watched where the guy is like "Wow this is a tall bike" and then that's it; doesn't offer anymore input. I'm 6'2 as well, and I've been eyeing this bike for a while but the size kinda worried me, but hearing that it fits your frame fine is the final nudge I need to go take one out for a spin....
No prob, thank you! I'm hoping to provide even more info and even implement a scoring system with my new reviews this year so hopefully I can be even more helpful.
I love Husqvarna bikes so far. Really can't wait to try the Norden.
I’m 5-11 and I can flat foot it, 32 inseam
Im 6‘1 and I felt comfy on it. The salesman just said that it looked small for my size but if it fits, why should I care?
Just bought one, my second bike! Great review, cheers
Good review!! I´m a 189cm tall guy from Sweden and I´ll buy this on saturday. I was worried about the heght but now you got me to change my mind:) Hahah the pronunciation is hard for you guys but its easier for you to stick with the nick-name Husky;)
nice review! raw + real! been lookin' for a 401 review like this! 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Thanks a lot! for this review. I fall in love with this bike but I was worried because I am kinda tall (1.93m) (6 foot 4). But I‘ve heard what I wanted.
Grettings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Thanks for watching! You'll love it.
Both the clutch and the front brake levers are equipped with quick adjust knobs for the throw (chrome 'button's on the levers by the perch). Your mic is fantastic, great audio.
That's awesome! Glad they have that. And thanks so much!
Seems so sloooooooow
I have one and it is the most fun bike to ride with EVER! This is the meaning of riding a bike!
I thought so too! Glad you're enjoying it.
Does your 2019 bike sticker say “made in Austria” or does it say “made in India”?
@@guptanator 2019's are from Austria, 2020 models from India
In what state are you riding in?
Have this since 6 months, I love it. I have "beaten it like a dirt bike" and it is very impressive as a scrambler, especially on the very impressive Pirelli Scorpion rally str tires which are the same as on the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled. Feels more powerful than the 43 bhp suggests, thanks to the 150KG weight. Seat is high but is very slim and light so easy to manage as long as you are at least 5.7". I am 5.9". Stock Exhaust sound one of the best for such a tiny engine. I got the Rekluse seminautomatic clutch installed and it is a very good investment, especially for offroad. Brakes (pronounced ByeBree) are very good with great feel with Bosch 9M+ ABS with rear wheel lift mitigation. Kinda versatile, slick cafe racer looka, good commuter with great filtering ability and still relatively entertaining in the canyons. I just did a tubeless conversion (3M Tape method) and so far all good. While a fantastic starter bike, it's tons of fun for experienced riders too. My other bikes are Triumph Tiger 1200 and Moto Guzzi V85 TT.
Does your 2019 bike sticker say “made in Austria” or does it say “made in India”?
Nice man, any good vids on installing the rekluse clutch?
@@guptanator Did you just own him there or it's a genuine question?
is the left leg side hot when riding?
Great review. A design masterpiece. My first big-ish bike when I pass my test I feel. Some bargains to be had on eBay when the time comes. Great review. Enjoyed it.
I wouldn't call this a big bike by any measure, but thank you!
InvictvsNox ideally I want the 701 but they are a little pricey. I know I can get more bike for the money but those looks are top drawer.
How much money do you spend in gasoline?
I ordered mine. Should get it firts week of September. My first motorcycle.
How do you like the bike? I'm thinking of getting one myself. Any suggestions?
@@bloodlust9984 i absolutely love it. It's the kind of bike that brings you everywhere you want because of it's lightweight and stands out with its unique look. I did put bar end mirrors on for better view and that's it. It brings me offroad very well on the Pirelli scorpion STR and grips the asphalt with confidence.
You will enjoy this bike if you choose to purchase. The price is right ✅ compare to the competition 👍
What I loved about this bike is that it has the six speed gearbox you wouldn't expect in that size of bike. But it lets you keep that low end and still be able to get on the freeway without hating your life.
That seat, though... first thing I would do is dremel the seat pan down where my thighs sit, so I could easily flatfoot it and actually grip the bloody tank! For me there's no point in riding a zippy little urban racer if I can't hold on with my legs in the corners. Stupid oversight, that seat!
100%!
I never fault a bike on its seat though. It's usually there to look good long enough to sell the bike and can usually be changed out pretty easily.
@@InvictvsNox Agree, but I'm kind of worried maybe it's the seat pan and the shape of the tank. The "Style" seat looks really wide at the front as well. I'm gonna go in and look at it again!
@@tysonvilleneuve931 definitely do so!
I was very happy with the tank shape not impeding rider comfort.
I see your comment is a few months old so not sure what you decided on, but I've found that I can grip the tank with my legs just fine. I'm almost 6' and at first I thought I'd be sitting farther back on the seat like InvictvsNox did - and was for a bit - but after a few months I've found that it's both easier to control the bike and offers better support for your wrists/arms by scootching up and hugging the tank. Plus you get a slightly better view out of those sh*tty mirrors the if you're more upright.
Reminds me of the Royal Enfield Himalayan in a way. Just slightly.
Yes! I want to try the new 650 Interceptor so bad. Gorgeous bike.
10:30-10:38 Exactly what I wanted to hear . Thanks man
I haven't seen one with that back hand bar before.
⁰
Great test drive vid thank you for your honest evaluation. , 👍😊🤔
I do music and always end up on some producers page. So when I come across something different it's refreshing even if it's just watching you ride you bike. Wanted to show some love. Keep it at bro!
Haha, thanks! Glad to be of service.
Bro we carry these at AOMC in West Virginia as well.
And AOMC has tons of parts for them too - great to work with.
@@adrianenns Thanks bro!
They sell them at most KTM dealerships as far as I know. We have at least 1 in Colorado Springs.
Not my local KTM dealer unfortunately. :(
Got this as my first bike and I am pretty short. Definitely struggled with the height for about a week or two but love the height now.
how tall are you?
What's your height bro? I am 5'6" and waiting for the test ride once it get launched in my country
Loved the video. Looks like a really fun bike. Fellow Richmonder here. Only dealership I've seen near us that has sold Huskys is in Waynesboro. Unless you know of local shop?
Nah, this was at the Waynesboro location actually! Great staff, I recommend it. If you know you wanna buy or test drive, it's worth the drive.
Scoot/MotoRVA will have KTM products but for some reason they seem to be sparse on the Husky stuff unfortunately.
You have to try the new 701 version !!
I have and apart from ALSO being a good looking bike with more power, I don't see advantages of paying double the money. It's a flat tracker style bike with less offroad tyres thereby making it less versatile. It does have a very basic traction control but it's probably needed as the power to weight ratio is a lot. It has lower ground clearance and ABS I believe can not be switched off. If money is not an issue AND you will not take the bike offroad, yes, the 701 is a pretty good option, but mainly due to it's unique looks, especially if you consider the "style" version of the Svartpilen 701.
Just put a deposit on a 21. It'll be here by the end of the month. Almost got mine from Wayne's too but he wouldn't have one until May.
Yeah they're definitely not Wayne's main feature but the staff there are great!
Congrats btw. Hope you have tons of fun, I know you will.
best bike! great bike; i'm sold..
Good video. I have done a test ride with this bike: loved it and ordered mine as soon as I returned to dealership (here in the UK). And I'm 5.6 so yes I was high up but it's manageable even for shorter people with a bit of riding experience (10 years+ in my case but you don't need to wait that long). Besides Husky have a lowering kit for this bike, which I ordered too. It'll taker about an inch off.
Can you please provide me the lowering kit name or link. Thanks in advance 😊
Im 5'6-7. What do you think?
I say give it a try. If you're used to dual-sport seating, your bottom and feet will be at home. If not, you may need an adjustment period.
*West Virginia country mama*
I wish that I could afford one so bad.
I'm going to go test ride the the 701 version, but really concerned about your seat height comments. I rode flat-track for years. 5' 9" tall.
How'd you go?
I love the look of this bike looks like a bigger grom lol
It kinda does, yeah.
At only five foot six, I doubt I could ride one of those. On another note, I heard that the Yamaha TW200 is a good starter bike. While I'm not planning on getting one, I am still curious to hear your thoughts.
I looooove the TW200! I've never ridden one but they look so cool and I've seen beautiful custom builds for them. I'd have one as a bug-out bike in a heartbeat.
I'll have to test one out soon. I could see myself getting into some trespassing trouble real quick lol.
@@InvictvsNox I know that it's the only bike that's been to both poles! Shinji Kazama rode a TW200 all the way to the North Pole for the first time in 1987.
I didn't know that! That's sick.
I'm 5.8 and own one. It's tall. I can just about get the front balls of my feet on the ground. No issues when riding though.
Hi!! Could. You. Tell me something. About. Those. Spokes. Rims they. Are tubeless??? Thanks for. Your. Attention
Whaaaaaaa? 😂
Is it really true that most Americans think more of chainsaws than motorcycles when they see the name Husqvarna?
100% true. Husqvarna is way easier to find at the hardware store over here. This was literally the ONLY dealer in Virginia that had them lol.
Yep, I think lawn mowers and chain saws 😂😂😂
Chainsaws, rotary gas saws, landscape stuff. More of a still fan for all of the above tho.
6'2" with short legs lol
Possibly lol
@@InvictvsNox Haha, that was my thought too! I'm 5' 11" and I can flat foot my 401, though just. I sat on a few different ones at different dealers and I know for sure that one sat higher than the rest because I couldn't flat foot that one. Maybe there's a little variation between bikes
@@consequencevideos How would that be for me then??? I am planning to buy the 2020 model, and I am 5′ 7″ ...
Tro De Bac I’d definitely sit on one first. If you’ve got normal or long legs, I’d bet you can at least tip-toe it, but I don’t know what you’re comfortable with. The shock is set up for a 165lb rider out the door, so keep that in mind. Husky also sells a lowering kit for it if you really want, but it’s about $450
@@consequencevideos Thanks mate! Appreciated.
Do you watch Blockhead moto? You sound just like him haha. Great video, btw. I've been very interested in getting this bike. On a Honda Shadow 750 now.
Very cool looking bike. Would be better than having a scooter for zipping around. Maybe lower it with suspension mods.
My thoughts exactly although I hear scooters are hella fun.
Dang, Wayne cycle seems to be gouging these $6300 on their site.
What do you normally price these at?
Husqvarna lists it at $4999. Wayne’s is the closest dealer to me but I’m not paying that price, looks like I can go to the next dealers to the north or south and they have them for msrp.
@@UncleVoodoo Dang man, that's nuts. I'd see about talking to them on price then!
Really want to trade in my grom for this
I haven't ridden a Grom, but the Monkey is on my list!
And I could definitely see this being a killer upgrade from that.
8:38 It cocts nothing? Ill take 31.
Now this bike came to India 250CC.
I would like to buy and I'm also same height i want to see how you look like on this bike.
Just made a post on my Instagram just for you, buddy!
instagram.com/p/B9xwLbJhaLj
I wanna buy one but I really feel the test ride is important. Do dealers still do that?
That's how I did this video!
Just gotta find a dealer who carries them and lets you make an appointment.
Are those tubeless tyres?
I don't believe so.
The brakes should be good.......they are Brembo.
These are their 'budget' line, also fitted to the Royal Enfield 650's.
(In the UK anyhow)
Looks like Husky 's off road heritage has been a huge influence on this bike, but it certainly seems to be a bag of fun.
Torquey and agile.......great city bike?
I had no idea they were Brembo's budget line! Whatever they were, despite only being single disc, they worked amazingly. I'm happy to hear they made it onto the Interceptor as well... love that bike. Hope to find one to ride soon!
And yes, I do think the back alleyways and city scrapes are the perfect home for this fun little machine. Would buy one in a heartbeat if I lived downtown.
Hence the name: ByBre = By Brembo ;]
It's also a shame how hard the name is to pronounce ;).
I don't seem to have any issues. I'm wrong a lot though, so... Maybe lol.
Husk-varna 😉
whose-kvar-nah
What's the price tho?
Like 6.5k. Amazing deal if you ask me.
InvictvsNox ok thank not bad
How about getting parts and tech support?
@@juliocpiedrahita not sure, I don't own one... Yet.
You are 6'2'' and cannot flat foot really 🙂 my frnd is 5.9 he can easily flat foot this bike
i'm surprised too. he must has a longer torso and short inseam
@@papercut1987 yes or may be he wore a tight pant
Haha...Vikings weren't tall they were stocky and robust
Very beautiful and interesting bike but sooo uncomfortable! I shopped this against the duke 390 (same drivetrain) and it is night and day difference.
Yes, it's definitely a form over function sorta thing. But I loved it and I'm a sucker for the looks. Both bikes have their time and place.
